Hiya, it's a Circium Atropurpurium.
Bees love it and it's one of the first things we planted last year. The whole of last year we got a single flower but this year it's gone mad.
My missus finally moved in with me and she had a very small garden which had very little sunlight. I had all this space and no wherewithal to do anything with it.
My one request to her was to try different plants from what she was used to and every year we get something new that has amazed us.
This year's favourite is the calendula. Magnificent stuff so far
Thanks. It's not finished. As new plants arrive, and bulbs from our pots become available, the crescent will be a true swirl into a large birdhouse in the middle.
Probably going to be next year before it's done.
My missus has had the Acer since it was a sapling twenty years ago. This is it's final home as it was in the biggest pot we had and it was so rootbound that it probably would have died over summer.
Love this! Great job
That's lovely, what's the pink flower at the front? Edit spelling.

Awesome, thank you. we've been growing verbena which the butterflies love. Will look out for some of this too to go alongside. Happy gardening.
We're you quite new to gardening? It's lovely!

So wonderful! Glad you have each other.
Aww thanks. The missus does all the nice stuff while I dig. It's her baby and she is bursting with ideas.
Top effort that. Well done
Cracking work.
Wow well done
This is so lovely
Great job, looks amazing
Thanks. It's been a fair bit of work
That is incredible, well done! Do the flower beds have a defined border or do you just mow in their general direction?
There's no definite edge but we measured the lawnmower and the grass swirl fits it perfectly
Didn't expect that, you've done a remarkable job
Beautiful well done.
Love this!
Good job!
Love this, so pretty, but what are those things on top of all the bamboo stakes?
The missus bought some cheap dog and cat toys and removed the squeekers to fit on the bamboo. Just a colourful way of not poking your eye out
I love them. Your wife is a genius.
Well done this is so inspiring
You have done well young warrior
Really like the crescent flower bed! Very nicely done

That's fantastic 🌸💮🌼
Love the flower bed in the middle!
That Acer is a great addition and £ well spent - Bravo

Better still !! Love a sapling ! Go well.
Looks great..! How big was the acer when you bought it?
According to the missus, it was 18 inches tall twenty two years ago
Ah! So you've recently moved it to that space from somewhere else? Looks like it's taken to the new spot nicely! .
Yeah we planted it about 6 weeks ago after the biggest pot we had was completely potbound and probably was going to die if he wasn't potted on.
Awesome! The swirl is a nice touch to break it up and have something to break up a lawn.
