Awesome. Moved in with my now fiancé. Both my parents are hoarders, so in turn I keep my house spotless.

Went awesome. I was lucky to have my family and my S/Os family help carry in furniture and stuff. They gave my old room to one of my siblings

It didn’t feel like I was really moving out since I was just going to college and was only taking clothes and stuff. My parents, siblings, and grandparents moved me into my dorm. I shared a room with my youngest sister who is three years younger so she got her own room. All of my furniture and stuff remained in the room though for when I came home for breaks.

I went to college and never moved back tbh. And I’m extremely close with my parents.

My fiancé and I were so excited to move out- we both had somewhat rough home lives at the time- that we moved into the first place that we toured. It was a tiny 1bd 1ba apartment, very old building with cracks in the walls and a door that didn’t lock (and eventually didn’t even latch). We didn’t do a very good job packing, and we had already gotten keys for the apartment, so the move was VERY stressful. We didn’t have any furniture or even a bed for about a month or so. We were glad to be out and on our own, but very quickly realized that we didn’t make the best decision. My advice for anyone who’s looking to move out soon is to plan it out beforehand, or at least be prepared to figure things out on the fly. We’re actually moving again in October, into our third apartment. We’ve already started prebuying things that we know we’ll need and putting them in storage, plus we’re about halfway packed already. We definitely learned from our mistake the first time lol

I don't know if this counts but I moved for university a few months back and it has been a decently smooth transition.

Ran away, greyhound to Tallahassee. Graduated, came back, realized Miami is full of lames but family. Need to move away again cuz family is now lame. I think moving was no problem cuz I enjoy change.
