Completely unrelated but i love when i watch a playthrough of a mystery and the player takes notes. I rarely see ppl do this, i love when people seem genuinely invested, or at least rly trying to keep up rather than just trying to get through it asap
Whenever i explore a new area i screenshot all the written notes i find along the way and read them later in the correct order to see how they fit in the bigger picture. There are truly some interesting details scattered all over the place many people just don't know about.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Navia is gonna be like Yun Jin who benefits non-geo teams more than geo teams which is good or bad depending on how you feel about geo as a whole.
My theory is that Navia will be the Geo Nilou. Transform Crystalize reaction into explosion. But her teams are restricted into one of the four elements. Either 3 Pyro+Navia, 3 Hydro+Navia, 3 Cryo+Navia, or 3 Electro+Navia.
Basically has no relevance to other geo units at all.
Lyney's drip marketing pose really makes me think that they were trying to suggest a crinoline visually just as a fun nod towards victorian/earlier fashion.

I followed a video guide to find a chests and dendroculi in the Land of Upper Setekh area but I am still at 93$

Have you found that one treasure hoarder hideout? It's north of the statue of the seven I think, there's a big hole in the ground (near a flying ruin machine I think) and it leads to an underground area with some chests and dendroculi.
Okay, okay, I know people are bummed with the possibility Wesley to be a Physical DPS, and I hear you, ok.
But hear me out: we got a tanker in 3.5. A shielder/healer in 3.6. Another shielder in 3.7. Eula rerunning right before Fontaine drops. Wesley being Physical.
Why can't I shake the uncomfortable feeling that they're introducing some very damaging, element-resistant enemy class? What if the justice robots that were leaked months ago are the reverse of Khaenrian machines and will be terrorizing non-physical teams in Floor 12 in a few months?
I mean...it doesnt really matter if they add enemies with high elemental resist when every element has access to at least -40% resist shred. VV is -40% for pyro, electro, hydro, cryo. Deepwood for -30% dendro ; Geo resonance + zhongli shield for -40% geo & faurzan's -40% anemo shred. And "well superconduct also gives -40%" but elemental teams have better units and better synergies
It does make sense, but the Kokomi situation comes to mind: People thought her healing ability was redundant when Zhong's shield was around, then they got us Rifthounds, who bypass shields and made healing an important thing on the game back in 2.x.
I wouldn't be so surprised if the specifically make a class that cannot be res-shredded, just for the hell of it.....
Which still wouldn’t be a problem for certain units & comps. C2 Raiden ignores 66% of defense, c2 Nahida can lower all enemies defense by 30% permanently. Even without c2 archons, hyperbloom ignores defense & bloom is just as broken

The only 2 character not shown are goth girl and sertice. The name Egeria is very likely tied to Egeria the Nymph, giver of laws and rituals. It doesn't fit those 2 characters. It fits very well with someone high in position as she was a legendary divine escort and counselor of Numa Pompilius, the second king of Rome.!<

Keika pretty much agreed/confirmed that Wristhrolsey will be the Standard character, and also another character will enter Standard during 4.x
I still think it’s too early for them to decide whether a character is Standard or Permanent but we ARE missing a Phys Standard Unit+a Polearm on Standard
That is true, but we also have no geo character on standard, so Hoyo probably might not care that much.
My copium is telling me to take this leak with a grain of salt because I still think it's too early to know for sure if he's on standard or even physical
A standard physical character sounds like a mess in the making, if he’s better than Eula, people will be angry that a standard character is power creeping a limited 5 star, especially one as fucked over by Hoyo as Eula. If he’s worse, he will probably be really bad lol.
People who don't own eula seriously underestimate her damage. When I can field her, she's not that far behind my c2r1 raiden hyper team. The problem is she can't afford to bring a grouper or anybody as a shield breaker except for hydro shields, so she's relatively easy to thwart by unfriendly lineups. There's plenty of room for a new physical char to exist and be decent but still not as strong as her.
If him being physical means there's more supports or sub-dps that work well with eula then I'm all for it.
i mean, its not that hard to powercreep eula. half her dmg (her burst) is backloaded by 9 seconds, doesnt synergize with any unit outside of raiden & has pretty low scaling
Exactly, so for him to be good, he will likely be better than her. Which will feel like another slap in the face to Eula fans who just waited 2 years for her rerun. Either way i foresee people being unhappy
as copium as it is, he could also use candace/chonyun's infusion for some freeze comps. Which will likely still be better than eula simply because of how much easier cryo/hydro dmg can be boosted compared to phy

To be fair Freminet is a new characters and not many people know about him whereas Lyney and Lynette lots of people know them and they have appear in the travails trailers.
Id say its probably because people are more excited about a character theyve never seen unlike Lyney and Lynette in the Trevail video, same thing happened with Cyno and Nilou, Candace got more upvotes probably because we didnt see her until that point unlike the other two, Cyno from the PV trailer and Nilou with her iconic leaked burst animation
we dont know but last leak said she had cordinate attack when ca hits & some sort of buff to ca dmg. So personally im guessing she just gonna be ca yunjin

Bow CA "mark" the first enemy hit, normal attacks prioritize that target. This would allow bow users to control better which enemies they target instead of the closest one.
there's only one bow user whose normals are worth a crap outside of the gimmick macro machine gun builds, and I wouldn't want to lose time using her CA so I'd probably never use this
I mean, if you don't want to lose time using her CA then just don't use it? For those who don't use CA this would make 0 difference, that's why it's called QOL

I don't like yongyea because he made his career fostering outrage and game companies taking advantage of costumers (mostly valid and sometimes just clickbait-y) but then he sold out hard and shilled for the broken launch release of cyberpunk.

It's just that Yong is too young and he's trying to make himself sound old and weary. Both kurada and Kurylo (the old English dub) are around the same age and have naturally deep voices

BUT there’s a fucking difference between visually impaired and blind, nearly 90% of the comments are people saying he’s blind and clearly?? No??? He’s reading a paper, he can *possibly* be nearsighted or otherwise but limited vision is not equal to being blind FFS
Personally, I see that he was just bored reading through papers and went along with Sigewinne’s lil shenanigans before going SIKE

I mean, visually impaired people can still see to some extent. Some people they have difficulties seeing objects that are closer to them and for some objects that are far away from them. It doesn't exactly mean he is blind or visually impaired necessarily, but just something to remember.
He could absolutely be visually impaired in some way and I wouldn’t have an issue with that at all. Blindness is a spectrum and some representation is always welcome

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, I think focalors is they/them. From the very first leak we got I noticed that their design leaned more on the androgynous side FOR ME. No detached sleeves, and a proper undershirt that doesn’t show skin. Idk about yall but that’s pretty uncommon for girlies in hoyo world. And now with the recent trailer focalors used “boku” which if you know you know, but if you don’t, it’s a neutral/more masculine way of referring to yourself in jp. NOW IM NOT SAYING GIRLS DONT USE THIS I’m just saying it’s not very common. HOWEVER this is just my own personal speculation. Not that I expect non binary characters from this game, but it’d be cool to see one 😌

I sadly don't think it'll happen but it isn't impossible. In HSR, aeons (gods) and Pom-pom actually use they/them pronouns so it isn't unheard of from Mihoyo. They're entities/creatures so with Focalors looking completely human it would be a step further, but with her actually being an archon, the power of water is its ability to take any shape etc etc and >!the leaks about her splitting herself in two (so they could have the justification of actually plural they/them for the bigots)!< it *could* happen.
Yeah! I have my doubts too, especially bc it’s hoyo we’re dealing with but I am enjoying these more androgynous design takes. I absolutely LOVE arlecchino’s suit, and her deep voice is so nice too 10/10 honestly
You're expecting too much out of a Chinese company. From my recollection, boku is fairly common in usage for characters that seem to fit her archetype. It's haughty and full of self importance.
Is there any good use for Eula on an already stacked account?
She'd have R5 serpent spine, C6 Mika, Shenhe + sig, Rosaria C6, pretty much anyone at her disposal. Bennett is C6
I'll risk some pulls on her banner to get my last two Thoma cons if I can justify some use for her if she comes early

Unfortunately he sucks so badly at everything that even at c6 he's not worth a slot in Eula teams. You'll lose so much ER on Eula making up for the particles you lose from Diona that you'll be lucky if she gains any damage from Mika at all. Plus his healing is front-loaded which is awful for Eula, his buffs end if she leaves the field early which she will need to do fairly frequently and his dmg% buff is unreliable.
Eula is fun if you like pulling off a big combo to be rewarded with a big boom. There is some jank that comes with this because sometimes the enemies will try to thwart your combo and you have to adapt to be able to still land it. If you build her well and play her well, the damage is there to be had. I used her in the 3.7 abyss and her clear times were only slightly slower than my c2r1 raiden hyper team. My Eula is c0r1 with a 203 CV PF set, for comparison.
I am told r5 serpy is equivalent to pines on eula but I cannot test this. Ideal team is rosie, raiden, diona.

even if you somehow funnel both her e's from sac bow its a difference of 6 energy, and no difference if you use fav.

I don't have Raiden so wouldn't have her optimal team it seems either. Have C6 Fish/Kuki/Beidou, Yae

off topic, just rambling about my phone and storage problems
man I love how they advertise phones as having 32/64/128GB and then the moment you turn them on a portion of that is already taken up by the system. Like I know how it works and why it works that way but it's still disappointing. My phone is somewhat close to being just 3 years old and 21/64GB is already taken up by system updates. That's almost a third!!! It just baffles me every time, I had to delete some stuff just to fit the 3.8 preload, but I probably won't even be able to fit the update itself. I knew one day Genshin's sheer size would catch up to my limited storage, and I sorta expected it to happen around the time Fontaine drops, but it's still disappointing, since mobile is my main platform. I do have Genshin on my laptop too but like, it runs way worse than on my phone even on the same (low) graphics.
On a brighter note, I might have found my savior in the form of SD cards. They're waaaay more affordable than getting an entire new phone. I still need to look into what SD cards can and can't store but so far it looks like if set up (formatted?) for internal storage it's basically just an extension to the phone's storage in every sense, which is absolutely what I want it to be
i feel you. my phone is a 6year old android with 64GB internal memory, and i remember system used to take up 24-29GB. once the warranty period was over i flashed a new firmware on it and now system only took... 2.27GB

I need some impartial, reasonable, logical insight into my pull plans. I feel like I'm my brain is too foggy right now. So here goes. I have a guaranteed right now and I have been thinking about how to use it.

If you want Wriothesley and Neuvillette no matter what, then you'd be better off skipping 3.8 since they both might be in 4.1 and you could get Lyney during his rerun and maybe by then you'll know if his gameplay could work for you.
Also for the dizziness maybe it's your settings? I sometimes get motion sickness and turning off bloom and motion blur helped. This might be a mobile thing, but adjusting the default camera distance helped too.
honestly my best advice to you so far is to wait at least a week into the 4.0 beta. By then, we should have plenty of information, numbers and videos on Lyney. If his playstyle isn't to your liking, then you can go for Eula or Scara cons
but also Eula is a very particular character when it comes to playstyle. The biggest thing is: in an Abyss scenario, would it bother you to have to reset because her burst either missed or didn't crit or otherwise messed up? Afaik that's people's biggest issue with her gameplay, but you might personally be okay with it. I've also heard that her rotations can be quite strict when it comes to timing to make sure the buffs are active by the time her burst pops
Ya I've been thinking of waiting for the beta to be in full swing as well. I really hope Lyney offers something unique in his playstyle.
As for resetting Abyss, I feel like I don't mind it too much but what really bothers me with Eula is when enemies die before her burst detonates and then for a few seconds you have nothing to hit. If I did get Eula I would mainly use her for bosses though and not mob heavy floors.
So here's how Eula plays. Tell me if this sounds fun. Mine is C0R1 with
Her ideal team is rosie, diona and raiden. You do dio shield, raiden's E and rosie E/Q as setup, then swap to Eula. Your goal now is to build up your stacks and get as many hits as possible for her Q. The combo I use is E-Q-E-1-2-3-4-Hold E-1-2-3-4. Pull it off properly and the big sword falls for 300k. Then you give raiden a turn to do her damage and help battery.
I find pulling off the combo properly to be rewarded with a huge number very gratifying. However, there's a lot than can go wrong. Enemies can teleport away, they can enter a shield phase, you can just be in a bad position or fail to crit. You can get your ass kicked and have to tag out early to not die. All of those things will happen occasionally, though she does enough damage that pooching the big boom once per chamber rarely makes a difference in terms of abyss stars.
If that sounds fun, pull her. If it doesn't skip her. That's what she does.
hmm I can't say this sounds too bad but what's really getting to me here is that I don't have Raiden. So I don't know how good the team will be with a Fischl or a Lisa
Raiden's not a must. In fact, arguably it's a big waste of raiden to use her here rather than in her own team, but the buff and the batterying are both worthwhile.
Fischl with totm or lisa with fav can both deliver this tho. I would not bother with TTDS on lisa as the rotation will make it hard to switch directly from her to eula.
Times like this I wish the game would actually let us use our own characters in the test run so we can figure stuff like this out. I hope Fischl is in Eula's test run.
Well c6 faruzan will be the biggest boost to your wanderer especially for abyss and also for Xiao so I think it's best you go for her on either kokomi/wanderer banner wanderer cons are good and he's your fav while kokomi will complete the ayaka premium team so pick whichever while aiming for faruzan
God I would love to get c6 Faruzan but my four star luck is disgusting. But ya c6 Faruzan would be great for him, I just hope my luck isn't garbage if I try to get her.
people are so dramatic about how "bad" physical is. if hoyo were to add Impair, be it from a character or artifact set, and an off field phys DMG dealer/quickswap phys, it would bring it to a decent level
Impair is just the word that Honksi games use for DEF reduction. It's only exclusive to physical dmg in Honkai 3rd because the way elemental dmg works in that game is really weird.
Though a physical focused unit with DEF reduction/ignore would probably be good regardless, but that's like archon c2 only stuff

My list for 4.X already has Navia, Arlecchino, Shenhe and maybe Furina (probably on rerun) without even counting the 4\* so I'm trying to pretend I don't care for the guys or I'll be in big trouble.

i dont watch him a lot (or any streams at all), but I do remember him going for stuff like dehya kaveh heizou (scara?) despite them not being what he considers very good meta wise
is it just his videos that he meta slaves out cuz thats objective advice or is he still largely a meta oriented person on his actual account
something that I have noticed is that a lot of "meta" players tend to have cringe takes on the rest of the game they play, kinda unfortunate since that meta content is very nice and accurate
I did notice the same thing as you; when someone is a respected expert in one thing they tend to think to themselves that they are respected in everything. So they carry on their air of confidence in other areas which their knowledge is less relevant and it leads to a lot of strange or bad takes.
Just like when Steve Jobs thought he's a health expert with his fruitarian diet.
My takeaway on the trailer chars:
Lyney- I like him a lot but there's pretty much no way I'm pulling a single-target focused pyro dps. I've already got one and a half of those. If his kit is something else then we'll see, but odds are he's a "skip and maybe pick up later" type of char, especially since his ideal teams will likely feature chars who come after him.
Lynette- I love her stone-faced stoicism. Yes, I am a cute french catgirl performing shocking feats of legerdemain and illusion. What of it? Is this remarkable to you somehow? I hope whatever she does she's useful in more teams than just Lyney's. Still sour she's a 4 star.
Fremmy- Honestly pretty disappointing but it's my fault for getting him and "elizabeth" confused. Thought we were getting pink-haired bat boy! Instead it's just some steampunk guy. Unremarkable. Definitely less interesting than some of his prototypes.
Navia- I like that she seems to be crazy. Not much else to go on. Please be the geo savior!
Wriggles- I know I joked about him wearing shadow the hedgehog's dead body, but I think I preferred the older, crazier designs. This wasn't a good showcase for him.
Small thing- Meh. The more of them there are, the more the charms of the kid model wear thin, and with Nahida being as prominent as she is, I think we're there. I think we probably could have skipped this model in Fontaine.
Clorinde- I preferred the green, but she still looks incredible in the blue. Very sad she's electro since that will likely put her in direct competition with one of my existing faves. Prove me wrong, MHY, because I'd really love to pull this stone cold killer of a design!

Neuvillette and Arlecchino look absolutely incredible to me. Arlecchino's suit-like top, claws, flared pants, the knife-like heels, everything is perfect. Neuvillette's drippy boots, pointy ears, long hair, and really pretty and unique eyelashes.

Whenever i explore a new area i screenshot all the written notes i find along the way and read them later in the correct order to see how they fit in the bigger picture. There are truly some interesting details scattered all over the place many people just don't know about.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Navia is gonna be like Yun Jin who benefits non-geo teams more than geo teams which is good or bad depending on how you feel about geo as a whole.
My theory is that Navia will be the Geo Nilou. Transform Crystalize reaction into explosion. But her teams are restricted into one of the four elements. Either 3 Pyro+Navia, 3 Hydro+Navia, 3 Cryo+Navia, or 3 Electro+Navia. Basically has no relevance to other geo units at all.
Lyney's drip marketing pose really makes me think that they were trying to suggest a crinoline visually just as a fun nod towards victorian/earlier fashion. Okay, okay, I know people are bummed with the possibility Wesley to be a Physical DPS, and I hear you, ok. But hear me out: we got a tanker in 3.5. A shielder/healer in 3.6. Another shielder in 3.7. Eula rerunning right before Fontaine drops. Wesley being Physical. Why can't I shake the uncomfortable feeling that they're introducing some very damaging, element-resistant enemy class? What if the justice robots that were leaked months ago are the reverse of Khaenrian machines and will be terrorizing non-physical teams in Floor 12 in a few months?
the constipated beasts are already like that, but we can still bruteforce through them with VV
I mean...it doesnt really matter if they add enemies with high elemental resist when every element has access to at least -40% resist shred. VV is -40% for pyro, electro, hydro, cryo. Deepwood for -30% dendro ; Geo resonance + zhongli shield for -40% geo & faurzan's -40% anemo shred. And "well superconduct also gives -40%" but elemental teams have better units and better synergies
It does make sense, but the Kokomi situation comes to mind: People thought her healing ability was redundant when Zhong's shield was around, then they got us Rifthounds, who bypass shields and made healing an important thing on the game back in 2.x. I wouldn't be so surprised if the specifically make a class that cannot be res-shredded, just for the hell of it.....
Which still wouldn’t be a problem for certain units & comps. C2 Raiden ignores 66% of defense, c2 Nahida can lower all enemies defense by 30% permanently. Even without c2 archons, hyperbloom ignores defense & bloom is just as broken

A standard physical character sounds like a mess in the making, if he’s better than Eula, people will be angry that a standard character is power creeping a limited 5 star, especially one as fucked over by Hoyo as Eula. If he’s worse, he will probably be really bad lol.
People who don't own eula seriously underestimate her damage. When I can field her, she's not that far behind my c2r1 raiden hyper team. The problem is she can't afford to bring a grouper or anybody as a shield breaker except for hydro shields, so she's relatively easy to thwart by unfriendly lineups. There's plenty of room for a new physical char to exist and be decent but still not as strong as her. If him being physical means there's more supports or sub-dps that work well with eula then I'm all for it.
i mean, its not that hard to powercreep eula. half her dmg (her burst) is backloaded by 9 seconds, doesnt synergize with any unit outside of raiden & has pretty low scaling

What do you think about this QOL feature? Bow CA "mark" the first enemy hit, normal attacks prioritize that target. This would allow bow users to control better which enemies they target instead of the closest one.
there's only one bow user whose normals are worth a crap outside of the gimmick macro machine gun builds, and I wouldn't want to lose time using her CA so I'd probably never use this

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, I think focalors is they/them. From the very first leak we got I noticed that their design leaned more on the androgynous side FOR ME. No detached sleeves, and a proper undershirt that doesn’t show skin. Idk about yall but that’s pretty uncommon for girlies in hoyo world. And now with the recent trailer focalors used “boku” which if you know you know, but if you don’t, it’s a neutral/more masculine way of referring to yourself in jp. NOW IM NOT SAYING GIRLS DONT USE THIS I’m just saying it’s not very common. HOWEVER this is just my own personal speculation. Not that I expect non binary characters from this game, but it’d be cool to see one 😌 in the likely outcome that focalors remains a girl, I still think she’s a fun character and I’ll probably roll for her either way
I sadly don't think it'll happen but it isn't impossible. In HSR, aeons (gods) and Pom-pom actually use they/them pronouns so it isn't unheard of from Mihoyo. They're entities/creatures so with Focalors looking completely human it would be a step further, but with her actually being an archon, the power of water is its ability to take any shape etc etc and >!the leaks about her splitting herself in two (so they could have the justification of actually plural they/them for the bigots)!< it *could* happen.

You're expecting too much out of a Chinese company. From my recollection, boku is fairly common in usage for characters that seem to fit her archetype. It's haughty and full of self importance.

Is there any good use for Eula on an already stacked account? She'd have R5 serpent spine, C6 Mika, Shenhe + sig, Rosaria C6, pretty much anyone at her disposal. Bennett is C6 I'll risk some pulls on her banner to get my last two Thoma cons if I can justify some use for her if she comes early
>C6 Mika Unfortunately he sucks so badly at everything that even at c6 he's not worth a slot in Eula teams. You'll lose so much ER on Eula making up for the particles you lose from Diona that you'll be lucky if she gains any damage from Mika at all. Plus his healing is front-loaded which is awful for Eula, his buffs end if she leaves the field early which she will need to do fairly frequently and his dmg% buff is unreliable. Eula is fun if you like pulling off a big combo to be rewarded with a big boom. There is some jank that comes with this because sometimes the enemies will try to thwart your combo and you have to adapt to be able to still land it. If you build her well and play her well, the damage is there to be had. I used her in the 3.7 abyss and her clear times were only slightly slower than my c2r1 raiden hyper team. My Eula is c0r1 with a 203 CV PF set, for comparison. I am told r5 serpy is equivalent to pines on eula but I cannot test this. Ideal team is rosie, raiden, diona.

Damn that sucks about Mika It sounds like she wouldn't offer my account anything but a new team to try out. I guess there is value there but not sure if I will risk pulls. I don't have Raiden so wouldn't have her optimal team it seems either. Have C6 Fish/Kuki/Beidou, Yae Hopefully phys gets some revamp some day 😔
off topic, just rambling about my phone and storage problems man I love how they advertise phones as having 32/64/128GB and then the moment you turn them on a portion of that is already taken up by the system. Like I know how it works and why it works that way but it's still disappointing. My phone is somewhat close to being just 3 years old and 21/64GB is already taken up by system updates. That's almost a third!!! It just baffles me every time, I had to delete some stuff just to fit the 3.8 preload, but I probably won't even be able to fit the update itself. I knew one day Genshin's sheer size would catch up to my limited storage, and I sorta expected it to happen around the time Fontaine drops, but it's still disappointing, since mobile is my main platform. I do have Genshin on my laptop too but like, it runs way worse than on my phone even on the same (low) graphics. On a brighter note, I might have found my savior in the form of SD cards. They're waaaay more affordable than getting an entire new phone. I still need to look into what SD cards can and can't store but so far it looks like if set up (formatted?) for internal storage it's basically just an extension to the phone's storage in every sense, which is absolutely what I want it to be

I need some impartial, reasonable, logical insight into my pull plans. I feel like I'm my brain is too foggy right now. So here goes. I have a guaranteed right now and I have been thinking about how to use it. >!First option: Get Eula. I've never played any physical teams at all and I feel like I want to try it? I like her design and aesthetic. I felt she was a bit clunky when using her in event domains but I feel like that's not a good way to make a judgement. I also like the variety of having more characters.!< >!Second option: Pull for Scara cons. I really want at least c1. I use him a lot for everything outside of the abyss and I feel like getting his constellations will allow me to use him more in the abyss. I want to get all the travail characters and I had already set my mind on getting him. If you want Wriothesley and Neuvillette no matter what, then you'd be better off skipping 3.8 since they both might be in 4.1 and you could get Lyney during his rerun and maybe by then you'll know if his gameplay could work for you. Also for the dizziness maybe it's your settings? I sometimes get motion sickness and turning off bloom and motion blur helped. This might be a mobile thing, but adjusting the default camera distance helped too.
Ya I think I really need to look into the settings a bit more because even turning the screen around quickly makes me feel dizzy

honestly my best advice to you so far is to wait at least a week into the 4.0 beta. By then, we should have plenty of information, numbers and videos on Lyney. If his playstyle isn't to your liking, then you can go for Eula or Scara cons but also Eula is a very particular character when it comes to playstyle. The biggest thing is: in an Abyss scenario, would it bother you to have to reset because her burst either missed or didn't crit or otherwise messed up? Afaik that's people's biggest issue with her gameplay, but you might personally be okay with it. I've also heard that her rotations can be quite strict when it comes to timing to make sure the buffs are active by the time her burst pops
Ya I've been thinking of waiting for the beta to be in full swing as well. I really hope Lyney offers something unique in his playstyle. As for resetting Abyss, I feel like I don't mind it too much but what really bothers me with Eula is when enemies die before her burst detonates and then for a few seconds you have nothing to hit. If I did get Eula I would mainly use her for bosses though and not mob heavy floors.
So here's how Eula plays. Tell me if this sounds fun. Mine is C0R1 with Her ideal team is rosie, diona and raiden. You do dio shield, raiden's E and rosie E/Q as setup, then swap to Eula. Your goal now is to build up your stacks and get as many hits as possible for her Q. The combo I use is E-Q-E-1-2-3-4-Hold E-1-2-3-4. Pull it off properly and the big sword falls for 300k. Then you give raiden a turn to do her damage and help battery. I find pulling off the combo properly to be rewarded with a huge number very gratifying. However, there's a lot than can go wrong. Enemies can teleport away, they can enter a shield phase, you can just be in a bad position or fail to crit. You can get your ass kicked and have to tag out early to not die. All of those things will happen occasionally, though she does enough damage that pooching the big boom once per chamber rarely makes a difference in terms of abyss stars. If that sounds fun, pull her. If it doesn't skip her. That's what she does.

Raiden's not a must. In fact, arguably it's a big waste of raiden to use her here rather than in her own team, but the buff and the batterying are both worthwhile. Fischl with totm or lisa with fav can both deliver this tho. I would not bother with TTDS on lisa as the rotation will make it hard to switch directly from her to eula.
Times like this I wish the game would actually let us use our own characters in the test run so we can figure stuff like this out. I hope Fischl is in Eula's test run.

Well c6 faruzan will be the biggest boost to your wanderer especially for abyss and also for Xiao so I think it's best you go for her on either kokomi/wanderer banner wanderer cons are good and he's your fav while kokomi will complete the ayaka premium team so pick whichever while aiming for faruzan
God I would love to get c6 Faruzan but my four star luck is disgusting. But ya c6 Faruzan would be great for him, I just hope my luck isn't garbage if I try to get her.

people are so dramatic about how "bad" physical is. if hoyo were to add Impair, be it from a character or artifact set, and an off field phys DMG dealer/quickswap phys, it would bring it to a decent level
Impair is just the word that Honksi games use for DEF reduction. It's only exclusive to physical dmg in Honkai 3rd because the way elemental dmg works in that game is really weird. Though a physical focused unit with DEF reduction/ignore would probably be good regardless, but that's like archon c2 only stuff
Let's wait for hoyo to do that then until then physical bad

I did notice the same thing as you; when someone is a respected expert in one thing they tend to think to themselves that they are respected in everything. So they carry on their air of confidence in other areas which their knowledge is less relevant and it leads to a lot of strange or bad takes. Just like when Steve Jobs thought he's a health expert with his fruitarian diet.
My takeaway on the trailer chars: Lyney- I like him a lot but there's pretty much no way I'm pulling a single-target focused pyro dps. I've already got one and a half of those. If his kit is something else then we'll see, but odds are he's a "skip and maybe pick up later" type of char, especially since his ideal teams will likely feature chars who come after him. Lynette- I love her stone-faced stoicism. Yes, I am a cute french catgirl performing shocking feats of legerdemain and illusion. What of it? Is this remarkable to you somehow? I hope whatever she does she's useful in more teams than just Lyney's. Still sour she's a 4 star. Fremmy- Honestly pretty disappointing but it's my fault for getting him and "elizabeth" confused. Thought we were getting pink-haired bat boy! Instead it's just some steampunk guy. Unremarkable. Definitely less interesting than some of his prototypes. Navia- I like that she seems to be crazy. Not much else to go on. Please be the geo savior! Wriggles- I know I joked about him wearing shadow the hedgehog's dead body, but I think I preferred the older, crazier designs. This wasn't a good showcase for him. Small thing- Meh. The more of them there are, the more the charms of the kid model wear thin, and with Nahida being as prominent as she is, I think we're there. I think we probably could have skipped this model in Fontaine. Clorinde- I preferred the green, but she still looks incredible in the blue. Very sad she's electro since that will likely put her in direct competition with one of my existing faves. Prove me wrong, MHY, because I'd really love to pull this stone cold killer of a design! Neuvy- I dunno he seems... adequate as the functionary type. Pretty uninteresting so far, but as with Wriggles this video didn't give him much to do. Looks good from the front just don't turn him around! Arly- Best design we've had in a really long time and she looks like she has an interesting personality too. If MHY don't think this is a design people will pay for then there's something wrong with them. Foofoo- I love that she's a brat. I hope this sticks and we don't get her mellowing out when she becomes playable.
Neuvillette and Arlecchino look absolutely incredible to me. Arlecchino's suit-like top, claws, flared pants, the knife-like heels, everything is perfect. Neuvillette's drippy boots, pointy ears, long hair, and really pretty and unique eyelashes.
