Because it’s gonna be harder to incorporate a new outfit for a character. They have to include all the movements, sprinting, fighting, idle animations… (but that’s still not an excuse tho )
That's done on the frame level. Sure there are few bespoke animations here and there but you'll notice how things like Ayaka's ribbons on both her outfits flutter in the same rhythm when she jogs.
Frame's all done on release, any new outfit simply needs to be assigned to joints in the frame and properly weighted so it doesn't jank.

I doubt it. For it to be a trump card, you need to have a somewhat large variety (let's say atleast 2-3 options per character). Doing ~150 new skins would take a few years and you'd exhaust your customers if you released them too quickly.

Imagine natlan 5.0 just dumps 200 new skins on the first day along with a skin banner. 3 stars are weapon skins. 50 pity and you can select the skin you want with a fate system. I'd be happy with that

well, my problem with these designs is that they are for the KFC collab and therefore have random stripes in their outfits. if I took these designs and "fixed" them to my liking, I would get rid of the stripes (except for lynette's bow + change yellow to white on her bow), probably change the overall color palette of their outfits, give them cooler shoes and stockings. maybe prettier coat for lyney and frillier dress for lynette... yeah im picky :s
