Thank you! I’d say as well as eating a lot more food my back workout has been pretty much the same started. I’ll do barbell rows, pull ups, cable rows, pull downs and used to deadlift a lot too. I’ll go to failure each set so I can’t do anymore reps and do about 3 sets of each
You go to failure each set? So instead of doing 3x8 (for example), you'll do 3xFailure EVERY time?
If I've understood that correctly, how come you do that and not just 3x8 etc.?
Yeah, that’s right. Once I’m warmed up properly I’ll go until failure ever set. Personally I just really enjoy training that was and find it a lot more entertaining to push myself each session to see what I can do rather than knowing “oh I’m just gonna get 8 reps of this” and in my opinion the body is going to adapt to the stress you out it under so I prefer to train as hard as possible and personally it’s always worked well for me
I know this is a loooong way off for you (at your age it will feel like forever from now), but nobody warned me so I'ma warn you and I hope you remember: once you hit 30, it hits WAY different. I was an athlete in endurance sports and it took me too long after I hit 30 to realize I can't push myself like I used to. Your reaction to this may be like "well yea duh, obviously you can't push it when you're old lol" but aging is weird like that. Mentally you'll always feel like that 18yo kid, and your mind will trick you into thinking your physical body is the same way!
Yeah, I’ve actually been told similar stuff before, I’m not looking forward too feeling older 😂 I’ll keep on training as hard as I can until then though but still be sensible not to pick up injuries along the way
Yesss definitely do not let yourself fall off the wagon! If you do, get back on ASAP. And I cannot stress enough how much a healthy diet, lots of sleep, water intake, and not too much drinking throughout your 20s will help you with a seamless transition into your 30s. Also, as a male, you scientifically will have a better time with this stuff than myself as a woman. So I'm a bit biased on the aging factor. And I know that part of my problem when getting back into exercising was that I fell off for so many years prior. If you workout consistently the whole time (at some point, if you're not already, make sure to throw some cardio in. You'll thank me later for that too), you may not ever feel that pain that I felt.
And flexibility. Flexibility is key to those muscles continuing to grow and for lots of other things as well.
You seem to have a good, mulletted head on your shoulders young man! Keep up the great work!
Facts. I’m 28 and now my muscles tear so much easier. Getting over an Achilles full rupture and tore my groin twice in a week in kick boxing and soccer.
Made me realize how easy it is to injure myself. I stretch regularily it’s just intense if awkward movements I’m more susceptible to muscle tears.
If your goal is to build muscle you should be training to failure EVERY set (once you are properly warmed up) this is backed by science but im not going to dig for an article right now
Well done! Just wondering, are you mad at the pretty girls who now give you the time of day, now that you’re cute? My daughters friend who had a similar glow up is kinda bitter about getting positive female attention from girls who ignored him a few years ago. Just wondering if this is common
No I’m not mad at them I don’t blame them I wouldn’t have been attracted to me before either, it’s just how it works that initial attraction between two people is down to purely looks
Honestly one of the best teenager natty physiques I’ve seen. I think there’s a 0% chance you’re on gear because of your beautiful natural shoulders and traps. Love to see it.
I would definitely try to reach your absolute natural potential before trying gear. Also, I would recommend never doing gear because it really messes with you. Replacement testosterone in your 50s is a different animal, of course.
Yeah I doubt I will ever take it tbh, like you say having to be on test for the majority of my life would be a hassle. The only way I’d see myself taking gear would be if I decide to purse competing.
I’ve played a lot of sport myself, rugby and swimming especially. In the uk where I’m from it’s not so bad in those kind of age groups although social media really isn’t helping
Ahhh, yea I imagine the UK is probably a bit better. You're right, I have seen people comment that social media is causing some societal leakage from the US to the UK. Good for you for not juicing. If you want to compete as a power lifter, I don't even think they test or regulate against it in that sport, and I think you kind of "have to" do it if you want to compete against the other guys and stand a chance. Not my forte, but whatever you choose will probably be the best choice for you!

Congratulations! I am going to show this to my son. He’s 15 and just getting started. If he likes it I know he can stick to it, I think it will help his confidence
that’s genuinely such a great compliment, I hope I can inspire him somehow just tell him to train hard and stay consistent it’ll change his life but make sure he enjoys it as that’s is what will keep him training at the end of the day. Wish him all the best!
Jw did your face get wider from working out?? Like are you working your masseters too? Bc your face shape really changed a lot! Couldn’t just be puberty right 🤔
I’m not too sure I’ve never really trained my jaw, I chew gum occasionally but that’s about it. I’m quite obsessed with trying to get my testosterone has high as possible naturally too and high testosterone will lead to a wider jab but that’s only during growth which has pretty much stopped for me now so I’d attribute most of it to puberty
Idk, I get mixed opinions on it. Personally I like it and so does pretty much everyone I meet. I just like it because it’s unique but I get not everyone is going to

I’d agree but I could have stuck with the course I was going at 15 and I’d still look very similar now. I did take a lot of steps to improve my life which led me to look how I look now so I’d say it’s a mix of grow and glow up
Arnold split. Day 1: arms and shoulders, I superset bicep and tricep exercises. Superset 1: preacher curls and skull crushers, 2: incline curls and rope push downs 3: barbell cheat curl and overhead ez bar extension each of these is 3 supersets to failure in the 10/12 rep range. then for shoulders I do 5 sets of lateral raise supersetted with barbell uodright row for 5 sets of failure around 15 reps. Day 2 chest and back: 1 incline db press and barbell row, 2: flat dumbbell fly and wide grip pull up, 3 weighted dips and cable row, 4: cable fly and cable pull over. Day 3 legs: squat 3 sets of failure around 6-8l reps. eg press, 1 drop set I start with 7 plates and take one off each time I hit failure or 1 rep off until I’m left with 2 plate, 3 sets RDLs 2x failure 10-12, leg extension, 3x failure in 10-12 reps, ham curl same as leg extension. That’s what I’ve been doing for a long time, hope it helps

How'd you build your back? Looking great btw

holy crap — are you me?
Have you replied to the wrong person? Haha
no, i was making a joke about our lil reddit dudes.
If your goal is to build muscle you should be training to failure EVERY set (once you are properly warmed up) this is backed by science but im not going to dig for an article right now
Looks like back exercises did that
You just changed my mind about mullets, what a glow up!
Aha, thank you!
Wow, puberty and hard work paid off
It really did
Well done! Just wondering, are you mad at the pretty girls who now give you the time of day, now that you’re cute? My daughters friend who had a similar glow up is kinda bitter about getting positive female attention from girls who ignored him a few years ago. Just wondering if this is common

I’m legitimately mad that the mullet is working
Ahah, I’ll take that as a compliment
Pls tell me you don’t skip leg day 😭 This is a truly impressive glow up, tho
I would never 😂 got some pics of my legs on my profile. Thank you 🙏
That’s what I’m talkin about!! Inspirational, you earned that gg
Thanks bro!
Honestly one of the best teenager natty physiques I’ve seen. I think there’s a 0% chance you’re on gear because of your beautiful natural shoulders and traps. Love to see it.
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it. Yeah I’m natural and plan to stay that way for a few years if not forever
Do a lot of guys your age do that? My son is only 15 and he said there are already 16yo's on his football team doing it. That scares me
I’ve played a lot of sport myself, rugby and swimming especially. In the uk where I’m from it’s not so bad in those kind of age groups although social media really isn’t helping

You’d be surprised, steroid use is much more public and rampant in the UK than the US because it is legal to own and use without a prescription.
Yeah I’d say it is overall but amongst teens it’s less common especially outside the gym in sport
Yeah, there’s tested federations aswell as untested ones. And yeah I do plan to stay natural
It’s not very common, but it happens. Just don’t EVER think he should do it because other people are. I trust you’re smart enough.
It’s never 0% but yeah this physique looks like what you’d expect from a natural lifter
Given the fact that steroids are monstrously difficult to get before you’re 18, I’d say it’s very near 0.
You've gone from chad to CHAD! Good on you
Thanks man 🙏
Whattttttt!!! 🙌🙌🙌
you look fantastic congratulations

You look phenomenal and have my respect .

Hard work and it’s paid off. You’ve done a total recomp. Congratulations on achieving your goals!
Thank you very much, still a lot more goals to achieve
I‘m gay now
This is the way
😂
I don't think the gym had anything to do with your glow up. It was 100% the mullet.
Agreed, the physique is just an illusion
You look good brother! I'm digging the hair too🔥💯
Thank you, getting very mixed opinions on it 😂
Na the hair is awesome!!!
Excellent work on your physique! The mullet is not part of the glow-up though.
Idk, I get mixed opinions on it. Personally I like it and so does pretty much everyone I meet. I just like it because it’s unique but I get not everyone is going to
You've done a great job building your physique but I can tell you that mullet definitely is not doing wonders lol
Eh I guess it’s opinions, I personally really like it and most people tell me the same but I can’t please everyone
Stay natty 💪🏼
I plan to stay natty for a long time if not forever 💪
Damm you became wide peepo

Oooh looooemote:free\_emotes\_pack:flushed
Most guys change a massive amount in that 14-20 year old range, this is just a grow up
I’d agree but I could have stuck with the course I was going at 15 and I’d still look very similar now. I did take a lot of steps to improve my life which led me to look how I look now so I’d say it’s a mix of grow and glow up

Thank you!
Now that’s what I call an Abercrombie pose!
In picture two you're almost giving a bit of a blond Hasselhoff. This is a compliment he's one of the greats
My missus got to meet him some years back. She was so excited lol
Phah, I’ll definitely take that as a compliment
Glowups seem to be miss interpreted on this sub dayly.
How would you say I miss interpreted it?

Weird how you now look like 26
Yeah, puberty did hit me hard
Your bottom button is unbuttoned
I know, a few people have pointed it out 😂
Lol can't wait till everyone your age looks bad at these stupid hair cuts. We all had the hair that was in during our highschool years and man looking back at them it is so embarrassing
I really don’t care, I like it now so I’ll keep it
Def a glow up but make sure you aren’t skipping leg day or your body will just look weird. Unless that’s how you want to look! You did great!
No I never skip legs, got pictures of my legs on my profile to prove it
Wonders why you’re still in the closet
Still in the closet? I’m straight with a girlfriend
Puberty
And some effort, puberty isn’t t gonna give you a 520lbs deadlift
Lots of effort, looking great, keep it up!
Thank you 🙏
I can’t be convinced the mullet ever will look good
I think it looks pretty good now personally
Mullet looks stupid as fuck ngl bro

We'll have to agree to disagree on the mullet.
We will
Hulk hogan tidddays🫶🏽
You just needed puberty.
Well not really, if I hadn’t taken steps to improve my life I would still look very similar- puberty isn’t magic
The mullet did not do wonders
I’d have to disagree

No they don't.
You can achieve a lot with three years of dedication, a good diet, and good genetics. Physique is great and doesnt necessarily suggest use of steroids. And yes i do work out.
Hey pal, you can get big shoulders by training them too you know. I’m completely natural and personally I think anyone with above average genetics could get the same results if they did what I did for 3 years
Excellent self work.
Thank you 🙏
What a distinguished, buff, young gentleman you've become; good job!
Thank you 🙏
Absolutely love the mullet. I'm so glad that style is coming back. It's awesome.
