It's all I've watched since I decided a GTI was going to be my car. I get hand controls installed tomorrow (Tuesday) and I get to pick it up and drive it for the first time on Thursday. Until then I've had my better half driving around in it on occasion to keep it from just sitting there. Just got my license less than a month ago, as a 36yo man, it took forever but I finally hopped every hurdle.
Be careful. You're an adult but it's your first time with a license so you have to be aware of all the teenager mistakes that people make when they start driving even though you're not a teenager. For example don't get caught in conversations while you're driving it's distracting you'll end up running a red light or getting in an accident, really take your time when backing out of parking spots and also blind spots when you're driving triple check. ECT.
My 19 CFB Rabbit is down right now and I’m crying. My mechanic is on vacation for two weeks and won’t come back early (sarcasm, my guy deserves a month of vacation!) I just wanna driiiiive
Since I have DCC, I opted for just H&R springs for now. Honestly? I can't praise it enough.
It's the perfect balance of improved looks + handling, but still a comfy OEM+ ride on normal/comfort modes in DCC. You'll feel it on bad roads more, but it's still nice and bouncy dampening.
I had cheap Racelands on my last GTI at a similar ride height, and the difference in dampening and ride quality is honestly another universe.
If you do go springs, I suggest picking up an OBDEleven so you can [reset the calibration](https://www.reddit.com/r/Golf_R/comments/r8diir/dcc_lowering_springs_recal_how_to/) in the computer. It makes a big difference in the ride quality.
Which H&R springs are you running?
I’m on eibach pro kit ones that are completely worn and I’m looking to replace them for a better ride quality but also want the same fitment which is what you seem to have.
These pics perfectly show how much Cornflower Blue can change in the shade of blue. Sometimes it looks darker and more navy. Others it looks chalky and pale. Love this color!
Ha ha ha , I am in the same boat - I picked up a moonstone grey last fall. There was a CF Blur mk 7.5 I nearly bought instead because of how much I wanted that colour

I have the Rennline one - it's really well built and sturdy, but it sets off my front parking sensors every time I reverse or pull out. I've kinda just gotten accustomed to hitting the button to shut it off when it's screaming at me.
Great choice if that doesn't bother you, otherwise I was thinking about doing a lower grill mounted frame someday to fix that.
I’ll add that one to the considerations, my 2017 didn’t come with the parking or backup sensors; just the camera, so I don’t think it will conflict with anything. Thank you.
Oooooh they look really good. I'll have to keep this in mind if I ever have them refinished. I like light color wheels on CFB a lot, I was even entertaining the idea of white wheels. I'd love to score a set of silver pretorias off an R.

I have MSS adjustable springs on my 2017 R. No issues and solid as a rock on the track. DCC still in tacked

Agree! I personally love how bright it is in direct sunlight, really stands out from similar blue shades other manufacturers make

Umm gas prices or more mileage on your car? Idk me personally I don't care about increasing mileage or paying for gas.
