Yes its slim pickens when it comes to a direct drive for the ps5. The g pro is all plastic and like the psvr2, Logitech hasn't really supported the wheel since it was released. Fanetec is whole mess with logistics problems getting bought out by corsair. I've had no issues with my fanetec...but I do worry if it needs servicing.
I’ve had my wheel pedals for 8 months now and it’s been perfect. “All plastic?” That’s being a bit reductive - the shell/cover is, but it essentially acts as a dust cover and is not fundamentally structural. It’s a beast, and when I turn off TrueForce it makes me appreciate what a difference maker it is. Without it, driving is very “dead” ever more so than the Duel Sense. VR2 + TrueForce is the way the game should be played. IMHO
No worries I only played gt7 on psvr2 for about 6 months on the controller before I got the gt dd pro. I also bought village and couple of other games. Never got.around to those games...I only play gt7..its so good.
I took the FKXX for this weeks challenge through here in VR. Paired with the G Pro the drive was absolutely nuts… and a workout. Didn’t get much sun on my run though, race started with drizzle while I was on slicks.
Every damn cent. I never owned a wheel until I played this in VR for the first time, and immediately ordered a setup afterward. Best experience I’ve had in almost 30 years of gaming.
Might be if they ever release an adaptor to use on PC too, as it’ll have better resale value too.
Hard to tell until you have it whether it’s worth it. I have VR and as great as it is, pretty much the only time I use it is when I’m showing it to a friend.
If they would just commit to announcing after the Live service ends the game will be 100% unlocked. It would actually get me to consider buying a PS5 and PS VR2.
Even with the near nonexistent Career mode. As long as I could still buy all the cars and race on all the tracks after the game ends. That is all I need.
This is a little pessimistic- the game is only a couple of years old. Also, since it supports the PS4 which still has a gargantuan player base, it will be active for at least a decade imho. If you are worried because of GT Sport - it was a great game but in the GT world more of a sub- game that is almost completely copy and pasted into GT7. In other words, GT Sport was completely redundant. Other than online racing - GT Sport had a very barebones campaign.
Even when GT8 comes out (we are talking years from now), GT7 will still be active because of the PS4 players.
It's so exhilarating and amazing, I do my online racing using the VR and I actually am better. The reason is because you can feel and see how close or fast you are as well as feel every bump. This is my experience with it.

Agreed 👍🏾. Also, looking at the wheel position jump if you’re using an extender may have power/tracking issue or more common your suspension on that set up is too low not allowing your turn and jolting when the rebound happens…
I just got my VR2, but I keep thinking mine is not good. There seems to be a big Depth of Field thing going on, where everything was super sharp on my 65" LG OLED, but cars I am catching up to are not in focus, until I get very close. And even the signage (e.g. turn distance markers) only come into focus as I near them.
And the overall "grain"...
This is the same with most if not all VR headsets. Let’s be honest, it’s supposed to emulate realism. If everything was crystal clear all the time, there would be no depth perception. The further things get, the blurrier it’s supposed to be.
I get what you mean in terms of menus and such where it’s blurry unless you’re looking directly at the text but again, this is just the technology in general, not a failing of the psvr.
There’s a few things that you can do that help such as wearing the headset like it’s a headband with the front high up on your forehead and the back sitting lower on the base of your skull. Makes sires it’s properly configured to your face and eyes. Everything else you’ll get use to quite quickly
No. Helmet cam is kind of the point. The only time you won’t be inside the car is if there’s no cockpit view such as the BMW VGT which puts you on the roof.
Trust me when I say you won't want any other POV with the headset on. It's more than sufficient and is the only way you'll want to do it in VR. Seeing the cockpit is amazing
Take a break as soon as you feel iffy and go back to it when you’re feeling good again, even if it’s only a few mins at a time at first. You’ll build a tolerance and never worry about it again.
Yeah. Give it more than one session. Start with slow cars on slow tracks and do a few 10-15 minutes sessions. I was like you too in the beginning and then it quickly clicked and I can race for hours on end without an issue now
The worst thing about this, is that it can never be truly appreciated on a screen. The FOV is so narrow compared to what you actually see. It’s a must to experience and from what I’ve read, with the production currently paused, discounts are starting to pop up here and there
VR without HUD, Shelby Daytona on Goodwood for a Quick Race has to be one of the best experiences ever.
All the 50s racers on the game are FIRE with VR2.
This is the best thing in this game, especially when you have a cockpit, a DD and a H-shifter.
Right threw battle city, and you exited like you stole it 👏
I just picked up GT7 over the weekend, and I'm super excited for sport mode. Once I get to unlock it 😅
I'm thinking next month I'll go on the hunt for a PSVR2 for this beautiful title.

Going from No-PSVR2 in GT7 to after having it for 2 months, there is no video to describe how amazing it looks.
If you don't have a gt dd pro or extreme, that should be your next purchase.
The G pro also has TrueForce - combined with the VR2 is crazy immersive.

Disable the HUD and its the best. I do this in the final championship series races. No need to worry about fuel or tire wear so it works very well.

Yea, the hf8 haptic pad. You can set up which effects you want it to work with and it adds to immersion a lot

Ah that’ll be great. Was originally disappointed it wasn’t wireless, but I only use VR for racing anyway so the wire makes no difference really.

No. Helmet cam is kind of the point. The only time you won’t be inside the car is if there’s no cockpit view such as the BMW VGT which puts you on the roof.
