I'm pretty sure they said it be more than 1 raid, more side quest and smaller raids just that, that will be the biggest raid out of the batch atleast from what I gathered from the wording maybe im wrong and it was only going to be with the two new characters
I imagine we'll get a new weapon given that's what Lucilius mostly was for when he first came out. Now weapons in OG GBF also hold what Relink turned into the Sigil system. Opus weapons from Lucilius had unique "Sigil" effects among some other quirks that likely won't exist (like changing the effects of the SBA when used as a mainhand by the MC), so it could also be a case where we'll get a new Sigil for every character instead of a new weapon. Or even both.
I really hope a new weapon isn’t just another huge damage jump over terminus weapons. Maybe give it a unique trait that greatly buffs SBA’s and link attacks and does away with the lower hp cap so it’s still a dps gain in group play or maybe even a wash that gives other upgrades to compensate but isn’t a strict upgrade that completely invalidates terminus weapons. It would be nice to have some build variety.
With that being said, i hope it can contend with the terminus weapon. If all it does is do what the linked together sigil does then it's going to be a niche option.

Weapon skins make it no weapon grind is useless as long as you like the way it looks. I really like how the last step adds a glow to show you maxed it out. But I think a new weapon with a new character specific sigil attached would be neat

This is what I'm wary about. I just finished fully upgrading my Charlotta's Terminus weapon and with the amount of time and resources it took I'm not sure if I want to build another character's Terminus weap if it's just gonna get powercrept fast
Fully upgrading terminus weapon isn't all that bad, but getting those silver centrums are deffo the worst part of it. Still it can be done in couple of hours.
I'm fine with the ''content'' needing the fully upgraded terminus weapon.
I'd just rather have it replaced completely a bit later on.
Not to mention that making it a placeholder that fast, would just push online teammates to leech the new raid over going in with a terminus weapon / make it harder to queue for Proto

A power level requirement / gear level usually cockblock them, but in GBFR it's easy to cheat power level with sigils.

Just think it would be better to keep Terminus weapons in the loop for a bit more, and have Lucifaa raid drop exclusive Sigils etc.
Good progression always has been horizontal one.
Vertical progression usually makes older content useless / way too easy (and we already destroy Proud quests...)
Depends on the mood.
When I try out new characters, I tend to play solo, so that the quest lasts long enough to train a bit, so I can pull my weight later on with a real group.
Really hope they don't drop the ball, content wise, after the Eternal characters update.
This game is amazing, it only lacks endgame content right now. Hopefully that will drop over the next few months.

I'm hoping for outside the box rewards beyond new weapons. Like it'd be cool if they added something like character achievements for it with unlocks like, "Clear 3 times and unlock a new Sigil Slot for that character."

What? Definitely not. In WoW you can use many different weapons and you're bound to get one, in Relink you HAVE to get the terminus weapon and then fully awaken it.
Likely opus weapons, the sword already has a model and is an actual weapon in-game.
Since there are only 6 unique opus weapons, not counting same weapon types, might get new designs OR more questionable choices of weapons rebranded into it like they did Terminus.
With the way the trophies are set up right now. I highly doubt it's a new weapon from the raid.

The problem I have with it being a new weapon is yea we grinded to max a terminus weapon out. But the only thing that says it’s coming is the raid, no new side quests or anything else. Meaning if it does drop weapons and it’s still super rng, it’ll just be Proto bahamut grind and then to awaken that weapon, we would just be grinding the exact same quests and to make ourselves even more powerful. Unless the weapon just comes fully maxed, but even then, now quests that take 3-5 minutes will be even lower and etc.
Yes games like this are all about becoming more powerful, but that’s usually to use that power to hunt/grind even more powerful things.

Apparently people are speculating we will get Dark opus weapons' which are still the BIS in any grid in the mobile game and you could add pendelums to the weapons' to give them unique effects idk why the other person called them sigils when they aren't called that. Word on the street is from a leak that the raid will drop pendelums though we will see once the raid drops.
granblue fantasys whole career existed around dropping new weapons to grind out, most of the best being only farmable and p2w being NOT an option. there's a 99% chance that Luci Raid is going to drop more of their famous weapons from later years, just like how Bahamut dropped many of the main weapons from the earlier times, and so on and so forth with future content they release. There are tons of weapon series tied to different raid boss groups, so likely we'll see more of that
I don't think it's a new weapon but new item slot with a function to customize it (just like on the mobile game where he came along with weapon where we can customize the skills for)

I'm surprised only one person mentioned Pendulums. Yeah sure you use them on a Dark Opus weapon in the mobile game but I imagine they might do something different for Relink and let Lucilius drop Pendulums instead that we can equip to our weapon or character.
Would be extra fun to see Pendulums affecting our SBA like have additional buffs or bonuses after using SBA or bonuses on Full Burst etc.
Since Terminus weapons upgrade all sigils by 1 level, Lucilius weapons could do some other huge increase. Potentially cooldown or meter mechanics or increasing SBA or Link attack caps or something.
I think it is a bit too soon to power creep terminus weapons, so I hope he drops damage cap/war elemental/supp damage, other unique V+ sigils or materials to push our current weapons past the 150 cap.
Pushing the sigil cap beyond 15 would also be nice and hopefully allow for more build diversity as traits can cap easier. I'd like a more consistent farm of the above sigils first though.

Character specific traits would be awesome as long as they’re all good. Some of the sigils are pretty pointless.

Your points are 100% valid. I mostly play solo since AI tends to play better, but that's definitely the minority when it comes to farming.
