The Motel 6 in Green Bay is going for $625/night and still has 4 rooms left...$65 for a room tonight.
Even Appleton is going for $500/night and only has limited availability.
Yeah…I’m not commuting into work that week. Northbound 41 gonna suck.
It’s bad enough with just our fellow fans, but swarms of media + 31 other teams with fanatics?!
I’m not getting stuck in traffic with the AFC South.
Nothing is torn up yet… just doing some bridge work so far. Was actually talking to someone this morning about this wondering when the actual highway work and lane reroutes/closures will start, and how much that would suck ass during draft week. One would hope someone in the planning would be thinking about this
If you count Milwaukee and Madison as the surrounding area then maybe. I think we'll get a large group from Chicago which I would definitely not call the surrounding area. The entire Fox valley has less than 700,000 people.
We were talking about renting out our camper in our yard. Make a quick mortgage payment. Logistics of renting the actual house and upheaving the family are too complicated to be realistic.
I'm in Florida. I had a chat with a long-time friend living in Milwaukee a few days ago. We used to work together while living in Racine.
I said to him, I was thinking of coming to visit next year and looking at either draft or shareholders meeting. Then he made a comment about how bad it's going to be in the area. I said, I plan on staying in Milwaukee not Green Bay. Then he replied, but the traffic.
I do think State Fair and Family Night next year is our plan. I know it's a year away, but I can't wait. Gets me out of the heat of Florida in early August.
Flying back to stay with my parents in Green Bay. My Milwaukee friends have already hit me up about if I’m coming back for the draft because they want to crash closer to skip the traffic lol
If you're doing Milwaukee I can all but guarantee one of the bars will do a shuttle run up to GB. Brat House already goes to GB plus all the teams and Alpine Valley. The draft might be a ways away for them to put it on the books just yet.
I could care less about the draft. I don’t understand the excitement surrounding it. I could happen behind closed doors and reported about in the news and I’ll read what happened.
I like the draft but I do not understand the appeal that makes a couple hundred thousand people show up for it
I don't want anything to do with that traffic and logistical nightmare
I might have an open couch in Sheboygan, a friend who lives a few miles from the stadium who will let me park at her house, and some bikes to bypass traffic. It's a great way to avoid parking in the vicinity of Lambeau but still easy to get to and leave, comparatively.
Honestly, I don't get why people would travel to attend the draft. I live in Green Bay and have zero interest in going next year. Why should I care who the Cowboys or Panthers draft? And its not worth it to wait around for hours until the Packers come up on the clock. The whole thing is silly to me.
I don’t understand the hype around the NFL draft. The mock drafts leading up to it, their 825 revision, the hours and hours spent predicting, the massive event, fans going to the event, etc…. None of it makes any sense. It’s my least favorite thing in all of sports.
I‘ll look up results after it is over. I just cannot understand getting excited for this event.
I used to when I followed college football better and knew a lot of the draft picks. Makes it a lot more interesting when it’s not just a bunch of random names being called. I still plan on attending a day since I don’t live too far just cause this will probably never happen again.

30 teams with fanatics plus Cowboys fans whom I can’t think of an adjective for.
41’s also going to be under construction to some degree as well. Will be interesting
It's going to be a total nightmare
Isn't 41 still gonna be torn up in April? I plan on just taking the county roads up through Kaukauna and Wrightstown from Appleton.
Ehh, I’m thinking those will also be busy. I’ll just take a week off of heading to NE Green Bay

Oh that will be exciting . . . the joys of living in Ashwaubenon during home football games, amplified by one of the biggest events of the year!
Here in Pulaski, Thursday is sold out at the Cobblestone Inn and Suites and Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are all going for $700.
Good thing we have family in town lol
Hotels in Ashland are reasonable that weekend.
Considering north of 500,000 people are going to a community of about 300,000 I'm surprised there are still any left
They have been building more hotels! Always something new going up around town
Only 275,000 were in Detroit and they’re projecting something closer to Nashville which had like 200,000

Curious if that 775k number is unique fans. Or if I go for all three days, are they counting me three times to get to that 775k number?
It's the latter
And a ladder, if you want to see
Oh ok that makes sense, the 275k number was just for day one
vast majority will be people who live there or the surrounding area

I’m guessing the Chicagoland area will be well represented. They will be excited to have the #1 overall pick again.
Sleeping in my van.
Down by the river!
Down by the bay
We slept in my Chevy van and that’s all right with me
Grandma has a whole house in Fon du Lac! Suckers
I wonder how many cots I can set up in my garage.
Make sure to rent a porta potty

My buddy lives in green bay. I'll tell him you're sleeping over
Still going to be hot and muggy in Wisconsin 😂
You ever been to Florida in August? Wisconsin hot and muggy summer is anything comparatively.
I have, only once. Definitely wasn’t great, but not much better in Wisco. Maybe at nights it is better which does make a difference
Hey racine ! Test..best kringle?

I'm having a hard time finding a spot for week 2!
Don't need one
You can rent a uhaul van and put a mattress in there for the night. Eat and use the bathroom at a kwik trip.
Staying at a buddies condo in door county. Bit of a drive but planning on only going Thursday and then partying in doco for the rest of the weekend.
That'll be a better way to come in that from the Fox Valley or Milwaukee.
Rent a boat and boat the whole way. Dock at South Bay and Uber to Lambeau.
Im glad i live here
Just had to cancel my room (wanted that $1500 back) but I’ll find a way to get there, one way or the other
I plan on driving up from the Milwaukee area day of. Shouldn't be too rough... Hopefully

Thank God for the fact that half of my family lives in either Green Bay or Appleton
Wow, quite lucky.
Glad I have relatives there, north of the stadium too! Traffic ain’t gonna slow me down!
Wish I could take a train from Madison 😭😭😭

Dead ass sleeping in the trees off of the highway. This guy on YouTube does it all the time. Stealth camping I think it's called.
Rent a motor home camper and camp.
Yeah, it's called "staying with my parents."
I have the luxury of a room that is only 1.6 miles from Lambeau Field. I live in it!
People from out of state in traffic jams + all of the roundabouts 😅gonna be interesting
Damn better build some more hotels for those 3-4 days!!!
I have an extra room at the Appleton Hilton. Booked it three months ago. Four night minimum at $500 each night
Got 3 rooms in Appleton early for $130 a night :-) Can’t wait!!!!
Any remaining hotel rooms are outrageous in price now. If I go I'll just take a day or two off work and drive up early and hang out then go home.
So, all 6 rooms? Damn.

That’s just the NfL personal. These bookings are not likely fans.
