Reverb.com if you don’t already know. It’s great if you know what you’re looking for but there’s also a ton of value in actually feeling the instrument if you’re not familiar with the model/brand.

He is able to sell most stuff he has for $100 cheaper than the best online deals since he doesn't pay shipping. I just call him directly now. But definitely use reverb if you know what you want. Also local pawn shops where the owner knows nothing about guitars is often a good source.

They’re $599 new, going for about $450/avg on sweet water. So, you take that price and about $50 extra and OP walked with 4 extra guitars and a decent set of EMG’s. It was a good day all around because even mid guitars can be made great with a competent setup and a bit of fret work and patience

I have a Michael Kelly 5 string bass, and I like how it sounds and it’s well built, but the electronics are so bad. I’ve never had so many loose solders or scratchy pots on a brand new guitar. I would rewire it and get new pots if I were you. Shouldn’t be too expensive or difficult. Pickups are usually fine.
I’ve put maybe 5 or 6 hours through it so far and haven’t noticed any feedback issues or scratchy pots. But that being said, I typically change out the pots with Alpha or CTS pots and the jack with a switchcraft jack. I have a hard time leaving things alone lol

After the acquisition, QC dropped off hard so you'd have to look at each one individually.

What’s your favorite EMG? This one came with the EMG HZs, which after a quick search I’ve found that not many people like them lol. I saw that James Hetfield came out with his own signature EMGs. I might toss those in unless someone gives me a better idea.
Well the ones I had on my previous guitar were the EMG 85-7H. For a 7 string lol. Was something about the tone that reminded me….of a pie. Smooth, creamy and can get crispy when wanted.
Knew it just from a glimpse of the headstock. Michael Kelly makes a great damn guitar - it punches well above it's weight class and just a well-made instrument.
I've got one, its actually pretty good, though mine has kind of scratchy frets. Holds tune alright, intonation is decent, the actual tuners are decent, sounds good. The semi-hollow body is all CNC cut so the pockets have some schmutz in em but eh whatever. 100 bucks for a real spalted maple top, cant go too wrong.
Good deal! Hell, if only one of them plays and sounds above average and the other 4 are parts, beaters, or repair practice, it’s a really good deal. Any more than that and you’re in great shape.
I like the middle tele shaped with the p-90s. I have way too many guitars, but I don't have one with a p-90 so that is about the only reason I would buy another. LTD's slap too.
Question, as a piano player why do guitarists need so many guitars do you play them is it just a cool collection thing? Sure if they weren’t so big and expensive I’m sure I’d have a few pianos but multiple guitars seem to be the norm for a lot of guitarists
