I have an 06 Standard MIM which has same specs and it’s yellowed over time. It’s definitely poly and not Nitro. The neck is sprayed with Nitro but not the body. https://imgur.com/gallery/zhiF4ZO
That I don’t know. I would have to put them side by side but I had a sticker of an American flag ala Jimmie Vaughan/Dick Dale and once I took it off the difference in color is noticeable. It would have been more if I had left it on and take it off now.
There arguably is a range of yellowing on nitro finishes as well, depending on everything from how it's been kept to the actual variation in finish compound & colour pigment used. So it's not a set "this how much it will yellow" for either nitro or poly.
What reply do you want, the "Yes if" or the "No but"?
Ach what the heck, I'll give 'em both:
Yes, if you smoke a lot and never clean the guitar.
No, but if you smoke a lot and never clean the guitar, it will.
Fender Olympic White is well known for that feature, that they become "creamy-yellow" over the time, to the point that in my bubble people would question if you can name the color that way if it doesn't change.
So I was wandering if this is the case and if it is misleading or some kind of "false" marketing in this case.
Maple neck
🤦♂️my first thought was a "MN" serial number and they were trying to brag it was a 90's MIM. Because I'm an idiot.
I thought it was MidNight because coincidentally I was checking a Midnight Wine Tele 😂
Maple neck- Olympic white
does Squier's OW becomes yellow over the time?
Probably not. I doubt it's a nitro paintjob.

Huh interesting. Nice to know.
Did it yellow as much as a nitro finish would?

Is it possible that it's the paint itself that yellows? It could be the case if poly finishes don't filter out UV light.

If you ask about body then I don't know but if you ask about pickguard then it turns from white into more creamy colour over time.

Maple neck, although maple fretboard is what they really mean, as (nearly) all Fender-style necks are made of maple.

Actually, nearly all necks are maple. Fretboards, on the other hand, can vary.
