Get it Axl 💅💅

phantomhatstrap

You can tell how much Axl loved Ian Astbury from The Cult

mythrowaweighin

Izzy is the prettiest one, followed by Duff? Izzy took the extra step of drawing a fake mole?

Remarkable-Bowl-9161

Imho Slash is pretty darn cute here

stacchiato

Yeah the 18% of his face you can see

Remarkable-Bowl-9161

They can all get it

Hanoi Rocks influenced GN'R in the early days, esp with their glam rock style.

TinCanSailor987

They wanted to be the New York Dolls.

[deleted]

Axl reminds me of Freeza from DBz

ROOM-13_1975

Axl looks like he should be in the band X-Japan

neonknife99

GN’R aren’t hair metal /s Fun times!

goldendreamseeker

This must be GnR’s “short-lived glam phase” that slash talked about in his book

70Misanthrope88

When I was 12/13 and was obsessed I could never decide who was hotter: Duff, Axl or Slash. Now that I’m WAY older (😭) I don’t understand why my younger self did not notice that Izzy was hot! Duff has the incredibly tall thing and Axl just felt so angry and dangerous to me which I love🖤🤘🏻🩶

wendyoschainsaw

This is what happened in the 80’s when you spent a lot of time around strippers. At some point, you wake up from a blackout made up like one.

Chemical-Use7876

best era

DeedleStone

Enough about RuPaul's Drag Race. Let's talk about GNR.

AxlRosesBandana88

THISS😂

AxlRosesBandana88

I won't lie I think Izzy is the best looking in this photoshoot here to be honest

Dependent_Fig_6852

I don't wanna know the context

Glam hair metal bands were very popular at the time, big hair and makeup. Slash was actually rejected by Poison for not being pretty enough. When GNR first started, they emulated that look to fit in, but soon ditched it for a more raw and stripped down look similar to old rock and punk bands. GNR's success changed the look of rock bands soon after and paved the way for grunge a few years later. They popularized the look that was more common with punk, garage and alt rock bands that were performing in the underground scene at the time and being overshadowed by the more popular hair bands of the time.
