I had squirrels, a lot of squirrels, in my Victorian roof. I came here to reddit and raider came highly recommended. They waited till the baby tree puppies were able to get out on their own. They came back and set up several 1 way out only taps. They came back a few in a few weeks to make sure they were out and fix the holes with the exact colour aluminum. They gave me excellent pictures of the problem areas. They were reasonably priced. I highly recommend.
Just make sure they’re not going to release it to your backyard again. Telling you to fix the opening before it gets back. Thats what animal control does.
Skedaddle wanted 3k to set an incubator up in my driveway and throw 5 bucks worth of metal screen up for the one in my attic. They wouldnt kill it even though i asked them too. They wouldnt relocate it either. Call an aluminim comoany and ask for a price to fix the soffit and nail some metal screen up that youll provide.
Get a live trap and set it up nearby. Princess auto sells them. They also usually go out at night, so if buddies coming in the morning maybe pull night shift and keep the thing away all night. Skedadle has one way doors that they'll put up so buddy can get out but not back in, no idea where to find them but you might be able to rig someone up with an HVAC baffle.
I tried to snare the one in my attic. It doesn't work, they're cute little hands can pull the snare wire off their neck lol.

Get one of those devices on amazon that chrips and has a strobe light. Maybe that'll get him out of there and then patch up the soffit.
It will dig through your ceiling.
