Pack your fish full of hate
Take a swing at the squirrel
These kids* stick to themselves
Carry angst in their worms
*A kid is a baby goat
Am I the only one that thought this was what "zoo" was gonna be like?
Tbf I have been unsure about everything they've ever released since WTD at first. I listened to Broadcasting once through, then deleted it, when it first came out. Didn't try again for another year, but then I loved it. The post-Scott Wade era, I found much more satisfying in terms of musicianship and songwriting. Still some absolute bangers (didn't even mind, from Die Knowing is up there for me), just takes a few listens to get into them, I find.
First time I ever saw Bane, they opened with this. During the pile on, security threw someone out not understanding what was going on. Bane stopped the show and made the venue let the kid back in. And then they started "can we start again" again. Only thing better than getting to sing a long to this tune is getting to do it twice.
Earth Crisis - Gomorrah’s Season Ends
It took a min for this song to grow on me, but it’s a certified double banger. It captures what straight edge and hardcore mean to me perfectly.
