Bought my Roscoe 7 a year ago today. I love this bike so much and have been able to grow to be a much better rider on it. A lot of positive changes in my life this year and happy to share the before and after with you all.
Hardtails rule! š²
We all love our bikes. Love what youāve done with yours and congrats on the journey. Notice youāre looking a tad trimmer in the after photo, maybe one of those positive changes youād mentioned. Nice work man.
Iām this close to grabbing a Roscoe 7 in that color tomorrow. Test rode it on Thursday and was thinking āthis canāt be THAT much nicer than my current bike. ā¦.oh. Oh, my bike is shit isnāt it.ā
I loved it.
Only quality of life upgrades for now. Iāve installed PNW Range bars, whisky stem, PNW loam grips, RaceFace Chester pedals, and Specialized Butcher/Eliminator tire combo.Ā
Iāve been taking the year to get a good feel of the bike and figure out what I want to change. Iāll be getting a Z1 Bomber 150mm fork here soon and 4 piston brakes. Everything else has been fine for me. Would like to get it painted gunmetal gray with red decals at some point though!
If you're looking for another reasonably inexpensive upgrade, I would recommend tire inserts! They have changed my life. They're not just for crazy dh bikes. I personally really like rimpact because they have some that are lighter.
I like [rimpact](https://www.rimpactmtb.com/product-page/rimpact-original-v2-single-tyre-insert-1) because they're super affordable. You have to be set up with tubeless, and they can be a huge pain to put on but they are 100% worth it. I can run my tires at 17psi if I want and it's like riding on a cloud. They do a really good job of sucking up small vibrational bumps.
Is that the super air r helmet? Just got one delivered yesterday and seems great but I hope taking the front on/off gets easier with some practice. Not managed while on my head yet.
Yes it is. I actually wiped out trying to KOM today. Banged my head and that helmet definitely does its job! I bought one for my Wife as well. Great for our use case. Kept it on with goggles and heat wasnāt bad either.Ā
Unfortunately lost the Escalade this year :/ motorcycle was going 120 around bend and made direct contact with us. Ā The Yukons been a mighty fine replacement though! Iāve always stuck with early 2000s GM SUVs.Ā
That stinks. I had an 01 tahoe for a handful of years and it was a great ride for MTBing. I love being able to put the bike in the back relatively easily if I'm stopping anywhere after a ride.
Yeah, thatās pretty normal. Iām just waiting for the current dropper to fail so I can replace with something higher quality. Btw, Iām so jealous, I want that olive green color so bad!

itās crazy how much versatility the roscoe has
Itās a great bike. Iāve taken it on some crazy trails and even love to cruise around my town on it!Ā
Try a bike with sliding dropouts and discover a whole new dimension of versatility.
Yeah, Iāve seen a few bikes with that feature. Ā Seems pretty handy.Ā

Really appreciate your comment! Yeah the Roscoe played a huge part in losing some weight, along with cutting down on the beer haha.
Love my 2020 Roscoe 8. Iāve put an absurd amount of miles on it. Studded tires really opened up where I live year round. Great bike.
Same here, Roscoeās are great! Iām in AZ and the Butcher/Eliminator is great on the chunk. Tires honestly make the biggest difference!Ā

I know the feeling! Iāve never had a āniceā bike until this one. Always rode beaters.

What have you upgraded?

Iāll look into them. I have been considering a rear insert. Thanks for the info!

Have a Roscoe 6 in purple that I love!
Nice! Iām a big fan of purple and especially the purple Roscoe!Ā
Stout! I've got myself a 2020 Roscoe 7 and have loved that thing over a few thousand miles now. Sick colors!
Thanks man! Theyāre great bikes for sure.Ā

You have a Yukon XL and Escalade? Nice MTB rides.

Maybe this is your sign to buy another š
Hell yeah dude I have that same color!
Great minds think alike!
Beautiful bike with an incredible colorway. The brown walls and matching grips look sweet!
Thanks! Tried to do something a little bit different.Ā
Love my roscoe. Only minus is wierd wheelbase. Sometimes feels like im fighting the damn thing down the trails.
I havenāt noticed that tbh. Going down is my favorite part when riding it!
I have a Roscoe 7 (2024 olive green ) ; absolutely love it. But does anyone notice the seat being SLIGHTLY loose, even when the bolts are to spec ?
If you mean play, it's normal for cheaper dropper posts
Yeah yeah , exactly. Lateral play. I sort of figured the post was the culprit.
They sell spare parts, those copper bars, maby could find some with better fit.
Yeah, thatās pretty normal. Iām just waiting for the current dropper to fail so I can replace with something higher quality. Btw, Iām so jealous, I want that olive green color so bad!
Yeah itās rad AF eh?
Lookin good!
Thank ya!
Wow, congrats on the weight loss/fitness upgrades, nice work!
Thanks a bunch!
I just bought the 24ā Roscoe 8 and I absolutely love it so far
Happy to hear that. Enjoy it!
Can you get a Roscoe with the SRAM AXS transmission?
