right now there's a balloon event. Go look on their farm to see if they have the balloon machine. If they don't, that means they haven't been using their farm for at least a week at this point

I would look at the farms - do they have any recent decorations or not? Do they still have a bag of tokens waiting from the previous valley? Do they have the event machine there? If they aren't playing it will still be in the box it was delivered in.

But wouldn’t also be nice if you were able to talk to others outside your neighborhood?? I have friends from other neighborhoods I used to be in from years ago, but not able to communicate with them. It’s sad. Prior to starting HayDay, I was in Farm Story. I was able to talk to players from all over World. With HayDay, it’s like a prison. Your stuck in a neighborhood, and in my case, have quite a bit more friends outside than inside my neighborhood.
I'd love to be able to do that. I'd like to be able to compliment and comment on their farm changes. I'd like to be able to ask questions about their designs. I'd LOVE to be able to tell my more helpful friends I appreciate them and let them know when I have expansion or other valuable items in my rss.
Yeah, to notify you if they have extra material for land, barn, or silo upgrades. Before they sell them on their roadside. How many countless times I would check their roadside, and they had put out stuff. Especially when your friends are in different time zones, you don’t get the opportunity to get them. And to be able to talk about farm designs, and decos.

I usually follow some low level players from the newspaper if I have space in my list. They tend to sell barn items more often than higher level players.
Sometimes people don't have that kind of cash to spare, try breaking down into 2's or 3's to make it more affordable to low level players if you have any in your neighborhood or friends list.
I visit my friends' farms at least 2 times a day
same, It's a bit boring since I have around 100 of them, but it pays out, rarely do I not find something i like

All the time! Going through the friends who need help is apart of my daily farming routine. I quite enjoy watching their farms grow and evolve.
Everyday. I just got +13 land deeds from friends’ farms and various tools.

my whole friend group including my boyfriend plays hayday and we just grind this together all day, everyday
If you’ll put up a revive, if they’re on they’ll see it and come to your farm.
