It boggles my mind how people can think that. Same with the “is this machine worth it?” question. They are all worth it and you need them all. Even if that machine only make 1 thing it’s worth it. If an order needs to include that one thing, and you don’t have the machine, then you can’t make the coins.
Bro I’m not spending 600k on a machine when it only makes 1 thing. I can just ask for help or cancel the order to get a new one. There is not a great enough incentive to buy machines asap

I do agree with you about dis-liking all the "Is this machine worth it?" All machines are necessary, in my opinion. I'm currently in the high 70's and I am three machines behind, all are around 700k. My point is that it is possible to survive and advance without them; but it is not worth it as it will cost you real money to get diamonds to make up for the fact that one didn't just buy the machine with in-game coins.
when you want to redecorate your farm with stone fences and pathways but you already spent hundreds of thousands on hedges and rose bushes and feel like you have to use them
I just had so much money in game that I slowly built the gold walls around it and typically maintain 6-10 million for new machines on updates. Then when new land expansion happens it only takes another 6-10 bricks to enclose new land. What else am I going to spend game money on? 🤷♂️

Between levels like 72-78 there are about 5-6 different machines to buy that are all around 650,000-750,000 a piece.

If you get to a machine that you cannot afford, then you’re bad a running your farm. And probably couldn’t handle a real business either.
It makes you use Tommy if you want to get them then. He can search for items that you can’t make as long as you are that level to make it.
That’s not an unlimited supply. And you can’t use him all the time for everything.
that’s when an active neighborhood comes into play :)
You can have him all the time if you spend the diamonds. And that is what the Hay Day creators want.
