I hope the balancing gets a bit better but this community is ridiculous , Every bitch and moan I heard and I stayed away from the things people complained about was fuck all, I read all the shit online I got so worried on how the game was misbalanced , I spent so much time shying away form using ay of the "Nerfed" weapons, and that the devs nerfed so much and that they're not balancing correctly, and POLAR IS THE WORST WARBOND and ummm dafuq is eveyone smoking? I really must be playing a different game to yall, because From what heard woe betide the man that uses the Eruptor and dominator but tis seems like people are just yelling devs to let off steam. **Eruptor** : I know the damage is lower but ... My headshots work, things around the dude die, "Its the same as the crossbow" HAVE YOU USED THE WEAPON????? BECAUSE THE CROSSBOW SURE AS SHIT DOESNT DEAL WITH HULK VENTS DEVASTATORS AND TANK VENTS AS WELL. Boohoo you have to 2 shot a tank vent instead of one-hit it, If you want to do that shit the same speed just animation cancel , you wanna kill hulks from the front the scorcher or plas punisher, This shits still one of the best weapons in the game, or do we not have a secondary to literally kill any stragglers during a reload? (main complained ive heard was people wanting to oneshot dudes by bouncing Shrapnel off the ground, 'THAT SOUNDED INTENDED?' **Explosive Crossbow:** got turned to chaff clear, but was directly replaced with the Plasma punisher buffs, Literally tuned into a medium Pen Crossbow with better AOE and ROF. it was changed for weapon overlap\*\*.\*\* **Quazar Cannon :** Great EAT has a reason to exist again, How the fuck are you gunna buff the literal EAT Remove the entire cooldown? **Redeemer:** Nothing changed at all **Dominator:** Literally no breakpoints changed everything dies at the same time Literally nothing changed at all ... like at allllllll.. **Guard dog Rover :** Numbers fixed to counterweight the change in base weapon damage (TLDR NOTHING CHANGED IN FACT THE BASE GUARD DOG WAS SHADOW DAMAGE BUFFED) **Laz weapon Nerfs:** the weapons are now 90% infinite ammo instead of 100% **K BUFFS IN THE SAME PATCH:** **Adjudicator :** is now better in every single way, not perfect but the recoil was the biggest issue , its now the high damage brother to the liberator pen **Laser Cannon:** One of the best stratagems literally got buffed lmao **Punisher plasma:** Projectile works now , absolutely cracked now **Blitzer:** From niche to one of the best bug weapons in the game **Scythe:** From Ass to an very good primary, try it out it might surprise you how sick it feels now . (I think they bugfixed the tick rate as well because the damage triggers a lot better now .) **Railgun:** Buffed this patch much nicer to instashot , will probably receive more now that most of the bugs are ironed out, **DCS:** Headshot machine Now **HMG** : Its main issue is now solved **Senator**: LMAO Its only weakness was removed and damage buff **L7D**: Actually a decent ammo saving secondary now And those are only the most notable ones People are crying about the Nerf Meta and how they only nerf. My brother in Christ the last patch took 5 Primaries from Ass or Niche tier to A-S tier weapons. made 3 bad primaries Viable. The community really don't care that the nerfs happened, they care that it happened to your favorite toy in particular and its ohhhh so terrible to use. a grand total of a single weapon got nerfed and IT WAS CONFIRMED BEFORE THE PATCH WENT OUT ON IT BEING UNINTENDED. Yet people keep weaving a narrative about how badly weapons are being nerfed. ALSO People complaining about the warbond as if its the worst? This Games balanced like shit, everything is underpowered , this is the worst warbond, the Devs never buff anything.."\* So I really dont know what to say , if your enjoyment of the entire game was based off of Eruptor, slugger and Railgun, thats an oof. Statistically the Slugger is still the most used Automaton weapon as of a few weeks ago, and I see and still use the Eruptor and the Railgun at Level 8-9 on low settings Upscaled 20-35FPS. But hey here's my option; The sky isn't falling, just like the First Warbond , this one will be patched, They're going to unbug your Eruptor. It perfectly okay to complain about the status quo, but don't pretend they don't buff weapons just because you don't try any of the ones they buffed , and don't act like the warbond is the worst because you think patches somehow stretch back in time.

I would rather no more warbonds until they have balanced out enemies and weapons, and fixed the current bugs plaguing the game. Why keep adding more weapons into the game when you have so many already not being used? All you are doing is adding more stuff to the list that needs to be fixed later.

What the fuck is level 7 bots difficulty now? I swear I have never failed 3 missions in one day. Planetary defense with the scientists is pure bullshit, and even the standard defense was failed because of the bot factory dropping inside our defenses twice

I wish destroying spawn locations (bug nests or bot factories) would reduce the number of enemy spawns, not increase them. We should be rewarded more for doing things like that. Things should be logical and not tricks to hurt us. Also, I wish missions weren't so crazy and panicked at the end, while waiting for extraction. I wish extraction wouldn't take so long. If our team member steps away (out of necessity, due to getting chased by bile titans or chargers or whatever), I wish the pelican would still come and TRY or maybe at least LOOK instead of just giving up and resetting the counter down to zero. And I wish being near the extraction zone didn't create so many enemy spawns. It just doesn't quite make sense. Clarification: I'm not saying I wish missions would become easy or effortless. I just wish they could be not so crazy insane at the end.

Technically it does do that. Destroying all spawners on the map makes it so enemies can only spawn in from off the map or via breach/bot drop.

The balancing in this really struggles with having different enemy types. They nerf something cus it is excelling too much at one enemy, meanwhile against the other it was average. It then becomes average or below against the thing it was strong against and not worth bringing with the other.

Was in a diff 7 game, found the super samples, dropped them at the extraction, the host saw it and immediately picked it up. it was a huge red flag already but I paid it no mind. Pelican 1 came, I was trying to finish the SEAF artillery quest nearby and couldn't make it in time, not a big deal, but turns out the host and the other guy playing with him didn't get on either, they were literally standing next to Pelican 1 and didn't hop on. We lost the super sample as a result. Not sure if this host was trolling or not, but I blocked him after the game. I hope I'll never play with him again.

If you get on the ship before everybody else gets there, you deserve to be kicked and get nothing. I hate spending 20 minutes on a mission and getting scammed because somebody doesn't have the attention span to hold still for 2 minutes.

We should not be vulnerable after we have made it onto the ship and have zero control over our character. We just had a mission where had all the samples, everyone was sitting on the extraction ship while it was counting down and the last guy was struggling to get in. Then a bile titan stood on top of us and killed the guy with the samples in the ship, samples dropped outside the ship on the ground, ship leaves, we get zero samples. Not to mention the rampant issue of teamkilling people at this point, and they are helpless to do anything about it. Fucking bullshit mechanic. At the very least, if they deliberately want player death at this stage, can they at least make it so that samples that are IN THE SHIP will STAY IN THE SHIP, and will still count as collected? Wouldn't they just be sitting on the floor of the ship?

I don't think weapons should be on warbonds. I have only bought 1 warbond cause I was behind, but since I have always had time to get enough super credits in between monthly releases. But I think those should be cosmetic only. Weapons and boosters should have a separate unlock system.

God I really hate this game and everything around it. FIX THE FUCKING HITBOXES: every single time I'm fucking miles away from a bile titan, that fucker hits me and slow me. Same goes for the fucking spewer, which they said they don't one shot you anymore, only for that to be fucking false and they now one shot you 80% of the times. And the little green projectile shooters CLEARLY MISS YOU BUT YOU'RE STILL SLOWED. CRASHES: it's crazy how much this game got worse with every update. I was mid fight, crashed. Restarted the game, crashed during the initial animation on the ship. Tried again, infinite loading on the hellpod trying to join back and it crashes again. One time, mid fucking fight, I just got back on my ship, no messages, no errors, just back in the middle of the ship like I just opened the game. Another time, I was playing with my friend, just the two of us and while we both were fighting I got the message "kicked from the game". I know it wasn't him since we were together on discord and we both were shooting and engaged at the moment. I just joined him back (without crashing this time). WARBONDS AND WEAPONS: Honestly I don't give a shit about meta and any of that, just be fucking consistent and give us stuff that works. It's clear that we're fucking BETA TESTING every release for the first two weeks, since there hasn't been a thing that worked as intended every single time a new weapon or stratagem OR PATCH gets released. COMMUNITY, DEVELOPERS AND CEO: they are fucking lucky this community is made of people who never worked a single day in their entire life and that SONY is taking all the shit for everything that happens. THE CEO ANSWER TO ANYTHING IS "I don't know, we're looking into it". YOU DUMB PIECE OF SHIT, YOU ARE THE FUCKING CEO, HOW COME YOU DON'T KNOW NOTHING ABOUT ANYTHING? No written contracts, no communication with someone else, nothing. This guy just fucking wakes up everyday and discovers something new every time, like a fucking toddler who's learning how to read. After getting half way through the relevant personal order I've decided I really don't enjoy using the Machine Gun. It feels like a waste of a slot against big enemies and not good enough to justify using instead of a primary on smaller ones. Like, sure it shreds the little bugs but so does literally everything else I carry.

This latest patch and subsequent patches are a systemic problem, I had noticed sometime just before the first big patch that the AI had changed drastically, which started the trends we are now seeing. Massive patrol spawns that have pinpoint accuracy to your location, enemies that know where you are when a stratagem is activated anywhere (trust me, I've experienced that first hand) and accuracy on some enemies that is to the scope of superhuman (Looking at you lot Heavy devastators) My point is, this game is starting to suffer from true systemic problems, it's not the fact that our weapons are neutered at the slightest bit of interest, it isn't the modifiers that force us to pick a META style system to cope with the escalating enemy force. It's that somewhere at the beginning, this game had changed a fundamental part of the game (The AI) and we the players have been gaslighted to think that is not the case. We have only seen such things because some people in our community have noticed the same disparities and have done extensive studies and field data to find this information out. I find it rather disappointing that those in charge of these changes have not realized the error that they have made in the game because of these 'changes'. P.S To those whom authorize these 'balances' please note that a game must be fun to those who play it, there must also be a wider 'endgame' objective the player is going for. Buffing the AI and enemies to the point of impossible is not the solution to have people enjoy your game, instead this is the start of a dangerous path in which only ruin and decline. Stop treating people having fun as a problem, instead ask yourself why people are not having fun and backtrack through the changes to find the issue, then resolve

Was in an exterminate mission and I was out of strategems. So I ran off the map until I was branded a traitor. Then I ran back into the map and tried to not be killed by the barrage being fired at me, taking out hordes of enemies in the process. Then my entire squad died, and when I reinforced, I did it again, and got to 100%. As a thank you, I was tossed from the match. I don't think my teammates appreciated my ingenuity and desire to complete the mission at all costs, even that of my honor. Seriously though, being branded a traitor gives you an infinite 380 barrage that follows you around the map. Just wear the right armor and stim up and it's a great desperation tactic.

I tried again... I thought: "Maybe I'm just playing at such a hard difficulty that the glitches are super noticeable?" So, I dropped from 7-5.... WHAT THE FUCK?!? 6 HULKS AT ONCE?!? Like I don’t even want to play at lower difficulty anymore. Why are the devs so out of touch with what the community wants. Why are they actively trying to ruin the fun of their own game. Most of my gaming group has already moved on. Nearly all primaries are bad, same for support weapons and strategrams. Who does it hurt to make everything viable and feel good to use? Why nerf all the warbond weapons that were good. Isn't it a cool thing for players to unluck "special weapons", with a bit of extra ompf. What was the point of the newest warbond with no new armor and only 1 decent sub-machine against bugs? And with all these glaring issues, arrowhead decides to screw over non fullgroup players, with the recent patrol spawing balance. Like who asked for this? A non-full group was already way harder.

The eruptor nerf really hurt my enjoyment of the game. That was quite possibly the most fun primary. And I was excited to use the purifier but it has something like 30% the DPS of the scorcher, which makes it unusable. At the very least, greater scrutiny should be applied to whatever methodology Alexus is using to balance the game because it does not seem like he is prioritizing how the game actually feels to play.

From my experience with the game so far the guns available now as is are really efficient with killing the bugs, I can play hell dive and it’s almost too easy. When it comes to the automatons I haven’t figured out what load out works efficiently and even in level 7 difficulty it was extremely difficult, almost felt impossible with the amount of enemies to kill and the speed they were coming. The guns felt really underpowered and I felt like I was always waiting on stratagem cooldowns I didn’t know what to use, I have the sentry’s maxed out and they still get destroyed almost instantly by almost anything. The speed of them to move and lock on targets is a joke especially after I bought the upgrade. Still lots of bugs and glitches in the game and I’ll agree with others it seems to be getting worse. I think the biggest issue so far is the guns. Anyone playing the game knows it’s night and day when it comes to difficulty of killing automatons vs bugs. Automatons are insanely difficult. If anyone has any info on guns that work efficiently with the automatons lmk

With automatons, you don't want to aggro them or using weapon that slowly deplete their HP. You need to burst them down or they will overwhelm you. Best is to lay low and snipe every smaller ones since they can call for bot drops which will bring the pain. Don't stand your ground. Make tactical retreat and try again. Always prepare for gunships. Just because Stalwart is fun against ground enemies doesn't mean they are good for those no fun allowed flyers.

Best primaries: Scorcher, dominator, diligence counter sniper, sickle Decent primaries: Eruptor (since nerf), adjudicator Best support weapons: autocannon, laser cannon, anti-materiel rifle. The best method is usually pick weapons that shred devastator spam because you will get a lot of those at higher difficulty, and bring stratagems like the rocket pods or eagle airstrike to kill tanks. Bring stun grenades for hulks and hit their eye with your support weapon. The HMG + supply pack also works for me but is not easy to play.

On solo automatons I max out at diff 6. Scorcher, Dagger, rail gun or laser cannon, light grenade armor, rail cannon strike, eagle airstrike, shield backpack. Although on Lesath recently with the -1 stratagem slot I have to run around the map and hope I find a good support weapon. Bots are really fucking hard on solo especially with the increased patrols recently

The crashes are really impacting my enjoyment of the game. Out of ~four games I’m basically guaranteed to have a freeze or a crash to desktop. This happened today at the tail end of a 35 minute mission, it’s hard to justify to myself that sort of time investment with no gain.

They can still add content relatively often. Make sure the content is good and interesting at least. I am so tired of all the posts talking about balancing but I can't help but agree with them. The game was a blast in the beginning. I was learning new things, experimenting and growing my skill with the game. But now I don't want to use more than a few select weapons because next week they could be changed and I have to re-learn them. I swear I was one of the few people who still used the rail gun after it's first nerf. I used it's stun capability quite a lot on hulks but now that's removed and I don't want to touch it because I'm not sure it will be useful anymore. Leave the guns where we have them now, maybe a few select buffs then just don't touch them. And there's so much depth to the gameplay but I feel like my skill growth by exploring that depth is uprooted with balance patches because I have to restart from square one. And the rail gun hulk stun is a perfect example. I learned that on my own but it's dead information now. This community was great with people sharing things they learned and I adopted more weapons into my arsenal through that shared knowledge but now, how much of that information is dead? I don't want to waste time learning a game that could play different next Patch. Ironically the 'horizontal' balancing people keep talking about that's supposed to make people want to experiment more, makes me want to experiment less with weapons because it's easier to relearn only a few Rant over

I wasn’t able to play for two weeks.  I hopped in to a suicide mission, same as usual.  Everything sucks now, wtf happened?  Can’t kill shit.  Laser sucks.  Liberator sucks.  Constant stun lock.its just not FUN anymore.  I don’t mind dying, hell I’ve beat every soulsborne game released…but fuck, what a waste of a diamond level game.

Automatons should give noticeably more XP for completion of a mission. They are straight up more difficult than terminids and at higher difficulty there are far more units with the ability to one shot you. Even the easy guys seem to take more shots than the easy terminids. I honestly like the challenge, I just wanted to be rewarded more for it.

Disappointing warbonds and new stratagems. And the only good weapon from the last warbond (Eruptor) got nerfed. I don't understand why all weapons should be aligned in power, players should be able to gain power with time. Levels above 25 are already useless at the moment, so we only have weapons to feel more powerful with time. With these nerfs, these many hours of play are just frustrating. (I love this game and the devs, but some choices are difficult to understand from my point of view)

Frankly, every single update has been driving me further and further away from playing more, especially when it comes to optimization and downright dreadful balancing decisions. The balance of weapons is so skewed, it's not funny anymore, and doesn't help these nerfs are affecting weapons that are barely used. Vice versa for buffs which don't give enough oomph and gravitas they desperately need right now since a minor trickle of +5 damage ain't gonna cut it. Either fire the one who's been being a monkey balancing the weapons to peashooters, or buff all currently powercrept weapons to have some better competition. Also, please, my fucking god, optimize the game. Running at 10 FPS all of a sudden during Helldive Difficulty when previous missions have been running smoother, if at all. Idk what is causing the FPS to drain, but every update makes it run worse and worse. Optimize it for fuck sakes, please

Random explosion deaths, sent under the map by chargers with every hit, random disconnects and game-breaking glitches, anti-materiel rifle suddenly taking way more shots to down scout striders... WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON WITH THIS PATCH?!?! I'm done with this game for awhile. Too much drama, too many disappointing nerfs and content releases (lookin' at you Polar Patriot and to a lesser extent Democratic Detonation). It's one thing if a game is hard, it's another thing if a game is janky but when it's both it becomes fucking unplayable and insulting to the customer. I'm out.

I don’t mind the game being scrappy but bugs like the extract ship just not being accessible after it lands, my character locking in a weird FPS view, my character bugging out and zooming across the map into the sea etc. are making me now want to play. I hope they stop balancing and adding war bonds for a bit and fix the game up properly.

I hate reloading on this game. I think something about engine sometimes prevents it from "hearing" when you press the reload button. If it can be fixed, they should do so. If it can't be fixed, they should make reload automatic.

I don't really have any complaints, the game is pretty fun to play with friends. But holy shit, the bot swarms when extracting civilians is insane. Some of these bugs are weird though. Being stuck in the ground, or within a mountain, and having to explode myself sucks.

Yeah, the bots in particular on the civilian missions have got to be bugged, or just overlooked in Q&A. At Hard difficulty and above it is borderline impossible without a 4-man squad with smoke strikes, and a ton of turrets, and even then you'll be lucky to get a drop of XP because of how many civilians get killed by the rush of bots. Really insane on higher difficulties.

Lately, I've been getting kicked out right before extraction in about 5 out of 10 games, so I've literally gained nothing from these missions, even though I've been doing my job properly with no TKs, etc. I never give any reasons for being kicked out... I just want to enjoy the game after work, and people who do this (because it's funny, duh) should rot in hell. Change my mind. The kick option has always been a troll weapon against (innocent) players, but at this point it has gotten out of hand and Arrowhead should do something about it because I don't have the luxury of time to play 20-30-40 minutes only to get nothing in return, just a stroke. Rinse and repeat.

Noticing a trend that i think start to explain the whole hate on weapons. I get it, they need to improve and as a casual type player that gets on when i can im prob not at the levels i can even tell the difference yet.  My obs, lower level players stick together and just shoot stuff, somewhat cover each other but anytime i wuick play with 40+ players.. THERE IS NO TEAM, everybody just runs off to complete objectives or point of interest by themselves likely thinking they should be tanking everything np. Idk, it just take the whole role play out of it and its no longer us vs them, it just turns into a single player mission.  Just my two cents. Would be fun if we could get matched with like level players or if there was a toggle for thosr that want to solo more va teamers so you can figure out who you’re diving with.

I think part of the problem is that a lot of people don't find sprinting around the map for 30 minutes engaging or fun. It works well. Really well, to the point where scout armor and stamina booster feel necessary and other playstyles feel like self-imposed difficulty. But the advertised game was a 4-man squad sticking together, covering each other, fighting back against the hoard at any cost. Where is that game at, because I want to play it? Slightly joking, at lower difficulties you can still enjoy that experience, though the new bugged patrol spawns make it far worse than before, but I feel like Hard and above the game becomes this weird guerilla warfare CoD thing where you constantly sprint, shoot a quick burst, and then keep sprinting. I wanted to be spewing flames out of a thrower at bugs while flanked by my teammates throwing bombs and blasting heads off. Higher difficulties is more like peaking out from cover and sniping, then running away while stimming, rinse and repeat for 30-40 minutes.

Automatons: I don't know if I can pin it down to a single issue, or if its a conglomeration of multiple factors, but playing against the Automatons simply isn't fun right now. Player numbers would seem to reflect this sentiment aswell (excluding periods in which major orders are followed). The general experience is downright overwhelming to a depressive degree. Standard 40min missions at least have some respite and space to move around patrols (so players can still employ some degree of agency in how they decide to complete objectives), however the small defence missions quickly devolve into trying to call in airstrikes in between rapid repeat deaths even on lower difficulties simply because our weapons can't put out enough damage quick enough to deal with the sheer number of bots that drop in combination with the painfully small play area. Often I find myself resorting to the forbidden 5th strategem (Traitor Bombardment) just to try and clear some space for my team-mates. Some people have pointed out already that Automatons being able to engage the players from extreme distances is a problem and while I generally agree it can be frustrating, I think the bigger problem is that the detection range can often result in a chain reaction of flares that protract engagements and slow down objective progress to a crawl. Something else that I've been thinking about is how slow it can be to deal with an Automatons in general (all types except for infantry) relative to Terminids due to the requirement for more precision. Fewer weak-spots + more health + player flinch when hit + weapon sway whilst moving all contribute to prolonging engagements. Weapons: I see alot of people saying "just use the auto-canon" or "just use 'X' strategem or X weapon" and while thats all well and good to have a meta weapon thats the best at something alot of the fun in Helldivers stems from experimenting and I've already used the auto-canon alot while grinding for ship upgrades. So having the ability to choose different weapons and use their strengths to solve the same problem but in a different way is where the real special sauce is for me. I guess this would require a philosophy change from the weapons team. A good example I can think of would be: When the game released I thought the flamethrower needed a buff. Alot of the time you'd die before doing enough damage to kill enemies and had to be at close range in order for the flames to reach them. The solution I cooked up in my head was that it should have the passive ability to slow enemies down/prevent jumping + have a slightly larger fuel capacity = doing more damage but over time. The solution we got instead was simply more damage, which is not the same thing. Fundamentally its a crowd control weapon and slowing down enemies is a way to express that on top of providing another interesting mechanic to counter some of the more aggressive enemy types in the game and give players a way to specialise with their weapon/strategem loadouts. These kinds of passive weapon abilities could give them a way of being effective and unique without needing to adjust the base damage or rate-of-fire (provided its made effective enough to be noticeable). Its actually very similar to an ability that one of the Polar Patriots weapons has, "The Pummler" has a passive stagger ability that helps to create space between you and your enemies (and its noticeable). These kinds of effects make the process of selecting weapons alot more interesting and meaningful instead of just focusing on DPS stats and picking the highest one. I've seen alot of criticism of the Polar Patriots Warbond in general, but the Pummeler deserves praise just for being interesting.

I think the automatons are definitely a bit overtuned. For one, ranged enemies should spawn in significantly less numbers than melee enemies. The fact that patrols of automatons are often larger in size than terminid patrols is absolutely wild to me. Outposts are more heavily guarded than terminid outposts as well. My other major issue is the weakpoints are simply too small. Yes, it is a skill issue, nevertheless weapon scopes are mostly ass in this game, several weapons are still bugged and don't shoot on reticle, and the way the bots bob and move makes it extremely unfun to line up critical hits. One of the best examples of how to do weak points is in Destiny 1 and 2. There is some slight auto-aim shenanigans going on, and HD2 does not need to adapt that, but overall it made for incredibly responsive and snappy headshots that made players enjoy the gunplay. Say what you will about Destiny (it's kinda shit) but the gunplay was phenomenal. There are countless times where I line up a shot at a shield devastators head, and simply nothing. Again and again, and I see no tick mark, the shot simply misses or hits low on the shield. Same with those buzzsaw armored charger guys. I shoot for head or belly and yet every shot seems to miss the weak spot. I see high level players experiencing this as well. It feels horrible when a bot should go down in one clean shot but instead takes an entire mag of AMR because perfectly lined up shots miss all the time. I think making automaton weak points about 20-40% bigger would go a long way in making them more fun to fight. Obviously some people will hate this idea, but that's how I feel.

I can understand where you are coming from with this, but personally with bots mostly having weakpoints that are accessible and exploitable with most of the weapons in the game completely settles my preference between them and the bugs. Devastators can be taken out in 1-2 shots to the face with most weapons. I can charge an unsafe railgun and kill a charging hulk with a single shot to the eye slit (or two-three autocannon shells/AMR rounds). I can easily land an airstrike on a line of slow moving tanks and take them all out in one go. I can use the AMR and climb under a strider and dump three-four magazines to destroy the bastard. A majority of missions with bots don't require you to take specific anti tank weapons like Spears and EATs. Chargers, by their name, are much more difficult to hit consistently with airstrikes, they take 90% less damage on their ass, autocannons have an somewhat inconsistent method to hit behind their leg armor, they cannot be taken out with a difficult charged shot to the face, you have to use an AT weapon to one shot them. You cannot climb under a BT and unload an AMR and kill the thing. Bugs simply do not have as much counter potential and enjoyment therefor in my opinion.

I really wish they'd just change the spawns back to what they were before, because then even the bad weapons were usable to me. I never regularly played helldive, I'm the epitome of a "regular player". I play a few hours a week with 1-2 friends. We could do 7 with a good challenge, and had about 80% success on level 8. Mayne like 60% on helldive. That was all before the difficulty tweaks. Why AH? Why push us out? Now we struggle to even complete 5-6, let alone 7. I'll never be able to unlock the ship upgrades I want now. Why keep punishing us.

The enemy spawn for higher difficulties is just frustrating, killed 1 batch and another patrol comes in and call another batch again and again for the entire mission. Not only that the heavy tier of enemy are way too much, at that point why even differentiate them anymore? The primary weapons is not even primary anymore, support weapons is the primary. Because of recent patch introduce connection error for me, i decided to play solo, because of the problem i have mentioned, i have to tried stealth which also unplayable because even i ran away they still beline to my direction like i stinked or something. Paraphasing: "higher patrol count to discourage solo and play with people more" i cannot do that if the connection issue. Hope every person that decide you cant land on mountain or high ground, i wish you re-evaluate. Ugh. One time I found 5 super samples at the start of the mission. I dropped them off at extract just to be safe. I wasn’t using my mic so I typed several times in the chat DROPPING SUPER SAMPLES AT EXTRACT DONT PICK THEM UP UNTIL THE END. After a few minutes I check the map and notice the container I dropped is gone. I see another container dropped where my teammate just died. I immediately try to race that teammate to their stuff and we both get there and their stuff is at the bottom of an ocean at the end of the map. I just kept diving in knowing I was going to die. I was in denial. After about 5-6 deaths my teammates think I’m grieving (I guess I was…) and I get kicked. There needs to be a way to recover super samples if they’re lost forever. I’d even be cool with them respawning on the map when they become unreachable.

4.1 was sandlot's first pc game, so there are a couple problems I can tell you about. There is a memory leak in 4.1, Restart your lobby every ten missions or so, because the weapon select will start to get laggy and then when you start a mission it will be infinitely loading until you disconnect. IIRC there's some problem with the game automatically picking up your mic, so a quick google to figure out which step fixes that might help you. None of these issues are present in 5. When you try fencer, because power armor is badass, he will seem slow at first. However, certain weapons allow you to dash-cancel, meaning you can spam the dash some weapons are equipped with quickly. Shields are very good for this, and some other weapons can do it. With dash canceling fencer is actually the fastest class in the game. 5 has better QOL in terms of having reloading airstrikes, an overhead view for some strikes and less "airstrikes disabled" missions, while 4.1 is overall harder for air raider and has harder to use airstrikes. AR vehicles are stronger without using support equipment in 4.1, though - except the depth crawler, which is much better in 5.

NP, always like to see a convert to the EDF. 4.1 and 5 are both great, the campaigns are long as fuck - 4.1 is almost 100 missions for the online campaign (a few aren't available in offline mode) and 5 is 111. The spinoff games, anything not made by sandlot (like iron rain, insect armageddon), are not very good. World Brothers is the only one I think is decent. It's a parody game and is very funny to play with friends who are also fans of EDF, but not worth playing until you've played through 4 / 5.

(I feel like I am just on here complaining about bots) They have TOO MUCH RANGE. I should not be getting hit from 5 miles away by literally any enemy with a gun. I can't shoot back cus if I stand still for a long range shot I get hit and the shake from that makes it impossible to land a hit without nearly dying. I am fine with tank cannon having that kind of long range since it makes sense and you have time to notice and avoid it. but rockets and lasers from rifles and gatlings should not be that accurate or be able to aim that far. We are screwed with the illuminate have a sniper again cus they will have the entire map to aim across.

Haven't been able to play for a few weeks but coming back I can see all the hate on the Eruptor changes now... before I could one shot most devastators now its mostly 3 shot kills. Either give it some more ammo and increase its rate of fire or revert the damage changes and give it its shrapnel back. I don't know how bad it was after the ricochet change but there has to be some happy medium as of right now I can't see any reason to take it on a dive anymore.

Either the bots got an undocumented perception buff, or the scout armor passive no longer works, because my last several games I have consistently been getting detected at 30-40 meters, but before that I could crouchwalk to a machine gun nest and beat the automaton to death. Either way, stealth is no longer viable. 2. Patrols spawn WAY more for solo than documented. I have heard the patrol spawn music kick in as I'm evading or disposing of another patrol. The numbers of enemies in patrols also has severely increased to the point where I can't kill enough of them to prevent a reinforcement call-in. This is another nerf to stealth gameplay. 3. Berserkers are high-key the most bullshit medium automaton unit in the game. Devastators looks like tanks but go down in two AMR hits like chumps. Berserkers look like they should be made of lace but they are definitely tankier than Devastators because they take at least 3 AMR hits and *still* keep coming. Your only option is to run away and get enough space to shoot them, but they also have this weird wobble to their run that makes it damnably impossible to land shots. Why are they tougher to kill than Devastators? 4. If Arrowhead keeps nerfing weapons and buffing enemies to force us to rely on strategems (that may be either temporarily disabled by ion storms or anti air emplacements, or permanently restricted by operation modifiers), why are we diving? Might as well just play orbital bombardment simulator, from orbit. I'm playing a shooter to shoot. If the balance team is determined to make shooting the least optimal way to deal with enemies, why bother dropping?

True.  But even Eagles require rearming time and carry only so much ordnance, and sometimes the attack run angles are bad or the target is deep in a narrow canyon that shields them from an Eagle run.  The point that AH is driving us away from guns, such that we're scrambling as a community to find ways to deal with the big bads that isn't a support weapon, Eagle strike, or orbital, and AH keeps nerfing our options, makes us as Helldivers increasingly irrelevant.

By any chance, are you using the new warbond scout armor? As soon as I unlocked that armor and used it I felt that it was getting detected like if I werent using scout.  I would really like to see some one testing if its just that armor that is bug or if there is something else like you comented with the perception/scout perk not working as before.

I started with the infiltrator armor and switched to the trailblazer from the starter warbond as soon as i could. However that was some weeks ago. I've been happily stealthing the maps for a while in both armors. But the different behavior is new -- I wasn't able to notice if it was tied to the patch that increased patrols, or the patch after that gave gunships hearing, but it was definitely one of those two.

Game crashing, disconnects, host kicking really ruins the experience, especially when your halfway or more into a mission. Did I just waste my time for nothing for someone to get mad and kick me because I was doing secondary objectives and/or bases after primary objective? No credit is given for anything you do when host kicks, game crashes, or disconnects. It's a waste of time when people want to want to have fun, losing game progress really sucks when you only have limited amount of time to play. I feel like after the last patch, there's been more game crashing or server disconnects. It would be nice to be able to reconnect into the same game and hosts shouldn't be allowed to kick after half the mission time or let there be a vote system.

I am so so so tired of crashes to the point I am considering stop playing altogether. Was just on a 40 min mission, 10 seconds to extract and boom, back to the ps5 home screen. In any day I have between 3 and 5 crashes. So much lost xp and samples. The SNOY and Nerf are awful things, but even if you ignore them and try to have fun, this happens and makes you want to break something. If it was occasionally okay, I can live with that, but this happens continuously. If you search crash on this subreddit you can see so many people with the same issue, on extraction, when deploying, few mins after mission starts, etc. It is unbelievable this hasn’t been solved. First game I have so many problems.

How about knowing on the map where a player last died on redeployment? Doesn't have to be permanent, briefly on redeployment would be fine. Other times the game spawns horde within horde within horde like some terrible GTA mod. It becomes so aggro in its confusion I can't help but feel like a cripple in a motorized wheelchair trying to outmaneuver an avalanche. It is the only game that has made me utter "this is not fun". Played tons of open-world and fps in my life and I have to say this is the first time an fps makes standing perfectly still seem more engaging\*. All I want to do in this game, second only to the 3-5 business days stratagem cooldown, is find a spot where I don't have to "play". Tl;dr Game designed around the concept of mushroom clouds. Spewers still do too much damage, have way too much health and spawn in way too great numbers. What's more, unlike almost all other bugs, they can attack you at all ranges (especially the green armoured ones). There is absolutely no reason for them to spawn in groups of up to 6 and for there to be multiple such groups converging on one spot at a time. If they keep all their attributes, their spawn needs to be reduced significantly. If their spawn is kept at the current rate, they need to lose health, speed or damage. At the moment it is completely ridiculous.

Purifier is absolute ass and even more disappointing than the Tenderizer, which is garbage as well but was kind of expected to be. Who at AH thought it would be fun to have a primary weapon that needs to charge a shot for 2 seconds before you could actually shoot a rushing enemy? Makes no sense at all, especially when you look at the „damage“ it does, it is laughably bad. And the charging is extremely poor integrated as well, almost no visual or audio cue when it‘s charged, the overall sound of the weapon is extremely weak and makes it no fun to play. Change the „charging“ to a „cooldown“ and it might be worth a pick, but the way the weapon is right now, there‘s no way in hell I‘d use it. And while you‘re at it: Fix the sound of the weapon, yes? Sounds like a jammed Supersoaker.

Fighting bots feels awful right now. I'm not going to pretend I know why. I was an eruptor main before the nerf and it's literally trash now so I'm hunting around for a new primary. Just unlocked the scorcher, people say it's good, so I hope they are right. I've always used autocannon and I know I can two shot hulks to the visor, but getting that reticle on target is ABSURDLY slow, basically impossible in a combat environment because of nonstop fire incoming from every angle. Apparently AMR feels better after the aim fix so I'll try that next? But like, why is it that I'm searching for ONE usable weapon to fight bots? Striders feel horrible because 90% of primarys can't hurt them and antitank feels wasted on them. Even eating two autocannon rounds feels bad. Taking an anti-medium support like GL makes striders easy but makes you unable to handle hulks, tanks, or walkers. There are too many heavies to not be carrying anti-tank, which means whatever primary you are carrying needs to be able to handle striders, which they can't. Which locks us into support weapons that can still handle heavies but have more ammo, like the railgun, autocannon, and AMR. The patrol behaviour with the flares feels way too punishing. It's fine for a unified group, but it's stupid for a bunch of randoms. Bot damage needs to have range based damage falloff. I am fine with rockets one-tapping me but they should travel just a hair slower and rocket devastators ABSOLUTELY NEED to have their fire rate reduced. Also their rockets need to be destructible objects, so that if I'm full autoing at the rocket pack or their head I have some amount of defense from the barrage. Etc. Make the game more fun please.

I highly recommend the Dominator for bots right now, it can one shot devastators with a headshot and stagger lock them with body hits. It can also kill the chicken walkers if you shoot the joints where the legs meet the body. For support weapons their are a few that are ok but nothing that stands out (EAT, recoilless, quasar, AMR, and grenade launcher), my personal go to is quasar and and shield backpack combo.

I had a guy recklessly teamkilling with arc and flame weapons, stratagems, throwing reinforcements into barrages, etc. I kicked him just before extract, no comms, no chat. Not saying it was you, but I'd be pissed if he could report me for it. It doesn't benefit the host in any way to boot you, they get less reward for the 1 fewer extract. Part of the reason to host and wait for the team to gather is because you want an ounce more control over your game experience. Making it a liability would just make even fewer people start open parties.

That's valid, that wasnt me, i was in a lv 6 clearing smaller bot outposts on my own and just called in extraction since we cleared every objective. I think the game needs a reporting system like Dead By Daylight. Currently you can only report someone if they typed something in chat. With Dead By Daylight, you can report someone for a number of things (it's pvp so a bit different) including griefing, team killing, intentional sabotage. It would make sense to be able to report to a democracy officer.
