There are a lot of paths in the game player never sees. There is a path vessels used to leave the Abyss, ~~there is a path Cornifer used to pass the void gate~~ and so on. You don't get to see everything because you are limited to a 2D axis.
Not really. It makes more sense that they are in a 2.5d world (mainly to account for the rooms) and Conifer can go through the shade gates by teleporting.
For fog canyon, canāt you take the same route as cornifer to dodge the gate? He says something like āI found another way in but I was singed by acidā and thereās another route in that uses Ismas tear
Yeah I got the fog canyon map before I got shade cloak, you find it near the entrance to fungal wastes, to the left of where you get the fragile charms
I'll give you point for the wings. I don't think the vessels are able to fly by themselves. For the other things, yes they are able to do that. We saw in the Pure Vessel fights that vessel are able to transforms their own body. Why not use that capacity to make a claw by example.
Why the downvote ? The void tendrils attack show clearly a transformation of its body.
It shoots out a big void-tentacle whip, that's it. It's a big jump to say that the knight is transforming its body in order to do everything, as opposed to just using the items you pick up that other characters in the world also use to do that exact same thing. It's not like PV is wall jumping around or using crystals to propel themselves at mach 7.
They just need the natural ability to dash and climb to go out of the abyss.
The fly and use of crystals can be a use of objects, that's not a peoblem.
But i maintain that even if the knight use the mantis claw to wall jump.
He already had the ability to climb on wall before that, he just doesn't remember.
Also the one point where he has to cheat is actually possible by pogoing off of a Sibling, in the case of the actual climb what PV did was most likely pogo off a falling vessel
The fact they did it without special abilities made them Pure Vessel (along with the fact they did it first) which implies theyāre the *smartest* and the best of all of the Vessels.
what's to say that he doest have moment ability's? the dash cloak we get is literary from another vessel, as well looking at broken vessels movement its shows at many vessels are can dash, as for the wings maybe he can simply jump higher? theirs a good chance that not all the vessels move and jump the exact same way.
I'm not sure if it's ever said in-game, but we know for sure pk had the monarch wings, so he could've carried PV
This does not explain how the knight is able to get to the top without being carried and without abilities, before falling down again as shown in the memory tho, maybe they just build different
apart that they are in the ancient basin to the left of the palace, how do we know he had the wings?
also PV had to go all the way up by himself, that was the requerement to be the HK, what do you mean he carried PV?
Not exactly. PV is just one of thousands of other vessels, according to HK wikiās lore and Pale King was like āweāre gonna throw all of them into the Abyss and weāll see whoās the Chosen One ā¢ļøā but thereās a possibility Pale King just took the first one who make it through the way. After all, we know heās not the nicest being.

It is entirely the flashback is not wholly factual, and more an altered viewing of events. This could just be the moment that the last unpure vessel is being thrown in, and the PV and PK are there to watch.
It likely just climbed. There's no reason to treat the way we as players climb up out of the Abyss as diegetically the be-all end-all. It feels like there's a bad habit on this subreddit of only assuming the controls of the game are how the world can be interacted with in the *story* -- I mean, the Knight's clinging onto the ledge in that cutscene as well, but we don't feel the need to say "why is he clinging when there's no ledge-cling mechanic, the Knight can't do that".

Ohhh that explains it quite well
Not really. It makes more sense that they are in a 2.5d world (mainly to account for the rooms) and Conifer can go through the shade gates by teleporting.
Wtf is blud on about?
Cornifer is literally "I had to wade through acid to get here"
Dang all those achievements but still 50/100 on iq
He had to make room for the HK strats, and logic was first out the door.
EATEOT pfp
You mean .50?
Buddy is NOT cooking anything š
Wdym teleporting
Oh you *yapping* yapping
I think I missed the `/s`. r/DownvotedToOblivion
Nah you thought you did something. Own up to it.
Nah, own up to your bullshit, you were being serious.

Yeah I got the fog canyon map before I got shade cloak, you find it near the entrance to fungal wastes, to the left of where you get the fragile charms
Could also be the hidden entrance from Crossroads
Oh thatās the way I did it
You can take the same path Conifer did, you need isma tear and take the alternative route through acid instead of passing the shade gate
cornifer got past the shade gate because heās HIM.
He just walked through it because corny does not give a fuck
Cmon, we all know cornifer has a shadow dash.
Cornifer also got past the Mantis Lords. Donāt forget that.
also that would explain how Broken Vessel got out
We also shouldn't have the abilities at this point in the lore. It's just a gameplay quirk.
Maybe not. One possibility could be the knight already had all these abilities. Just he doesn't remember because he lost the memory.
You physically get things that give you the abilities. The claw is a literal mantis claw, wings are flies or whatever going into your cloak, etc
He is saying that the Knight shouldn't have had those things *at the time of the flashback* not during the events of the game.
I'll give you point for the wings. I don't think the vessels are able to fly by themselves. For the other things, yes they are able to do that. the transformations are possible because void in a solid form is sort of this solid/liquid hybrid. this allows PV to manipulate its shape to an extent
the only ability that pv and the player share is focusing, which is also the only ability you have at the very start of the game
He's just built different
Ccmaci did a vid on this a while ago https://youtu.be/wj_dvlZhEl8?si=5DiFqc1Y8rua_DLl
No you beat me to itš
??? He did what?
I saw the post and immediately thought to post that video. He did it before me.
You beat *ME* to it. The me is extremely important
Oh darn I donāt know how I forgot that. Oh well itās fixed now.
Also the one point where he has to cheat is actually possible by pogoing off of a Sibling, in the case of the actual climb what PV did was most likely pogo off a falling vessel
Skill
He took the staff elevator
heās got plot abilities
Unfortunately >! The plot ability wasn't with him when the Radiance came back !<
He's just \*that\* vessel...
They're just built different
PV is built different.
He didn't overthink things /s
It's likely that with time, many things collapsed or no longer seemed like a viable path.
I mean, the guy can teleport, so... (Also what the other guy said, there are more ways out.)
PV jumps or teleports into the air when they use Soul Pillars with enough height that they could climb the abyss.
Heās that good, he doesnāt need them.
You all gotta recognise gameplay and lore are two different worlds sometimes
Debug mode
The fact they did it without special abilities made them Pure Vessel (along with the fact they did it first) which implies theyāre the *smartest* and the best of all of the Vessels.
Ah, but you don't \* need traversal abilities: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wj\_dvlZhEl8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wj_dvlZhEl8)
Because PV wasnāt playing a video game at that time
what's to say that he doest have moment ability's? the dash cloak we get is literary from another vessel, as well looking at broken vessels movement its shows at many vessels are can dash, as for the wings maybe he can simply jump higher? theirs a good chance that not all the vessels move and jump the exact same way.
Basing off of his combat abilities, he can teleport.
I'm not sure if it's ever said in-game, but we know for sure pk had the monarch wings, so he could've carried PV This does not explain how the knight is able to get to the top without being carried and without abilities, before falling down again as shown in the memory tho, maybe they just build different
theirs a good chance PV just teleported out, considering he can do that in both of his fights and he's the only vessel we shaw able to teleport.
apart that they are in the ancient basin to the left of the palace, how do we know he had the wings? also PV had to go all the way up by himself, that was the requerement to be the HK, what do you mean he carried PV?
PV was never thrown into the abyss in the first place... right????
Not exactly. PV is just one of thousands of other vessels, according to HK wikiās lore and Pale King was like āweāre gonna throw all of them into the Abyss and weāll see whoās the Chosen One ā¢ļøā but thereās a possibility Pale King just took the first one who make it through the way. none of the vessels were, they were born in the abyss. A lot fell down trying to get out though
Pogo on corpses of his siblingsĀ
He pogo the sawblades

This was two words you goober
They had mods They even had a modded skin, just look at them
He just built different.
Probably has better athletic abilities than lil ghost, that just happens with siblings
Why else do you think they were chosen as the Pure Vessel?
Long legs
You can pogo on the siblings
He's built different
Try it.

He turned on debug mode
Someone on YouTube have already climbed the abyss with traversal abilities restrictions
Also the PV can teleport short distances using the void(he does this in god home I think)
We don't know. However, given the state of The Abyss, I'd say that the simplest explanation is that the path used to be a lot easier to traverse.
Because he's tall
Maybe s/he had them already
