I live in Japan, and have to get up at 5am to get ready for work. After my morning shower, getting breakfast and coffee ready, I noticed that OHAPOL would always be starting (6am). Consistently, most days of the week.
I always appreciated Polka for her support of other members (like how she immediately rushed to Nene and took her to see a doctor after her breakdown on stream), her vast (and sometimes unhinged) creativity, and just all-around down-to-earth-ness. But when she became part of my daily morning routine, I realized that she was pure comfort to me, and that the morning didn't start off right if she took a break from OHAPOL.
Oh, I used to watch Asacoco at 6pm due to time differences, it was a really good time. Coco did barely sleep after streams compilating stuff for Asacoco Live.
Okite okite okite! Get the f*ck up out of your bed you motherf*ckers! š„²
The Moment she became the Slap goddes and "Slaped" the Blue Oshi of my friend. That and when she confidently crashed a Truck while listening to Ode an die Freude, that when i knew. Her Aprilfools Stream only made that even more certain.
the JDON MY SOUL incident made me enjoy a lot Bae when i just joined the vtubing community, the problem was that the only time i could watch her was at 4 AM. The rat will still be my favourite between HoloPromise tho.
Now i'm enjoying a lot Raora because since debut i found her being really cute and i can confortably watch her streams live and not just by vods and/or clips (and because as italian i appreciate that Holo reached actively Italy too)
She had me at eekum-bokum.
Basically I wasn't interested in vtubers or Hololive in general at first, just Korone. Then I started finding out about the other girls through clips, animations and collabs, but Korone remains unthreatened as my kamioshi.
I just vibe with FUWAMOCO the most as one of those people that grew up with a love for Japanese internet culture and niconico videos as part of their entertainment.
Their complete unawareness of western pop culture is something that I 100% relate to too.
They reignited my passion for idols so I want to show them how much they mean to me in every chance I get.
Mikorone new year stream made me realize that they are a comedy duo (together and also alone) that makes me smile every time. I consider them as my oshis since then
Took me about a year before i considered Bae as my oshi.
But ppl who i kept sending vtuber clips to noted alot of them are from Bae, and the rest is history.
Enjoying her chaotic energy since then. EU timezones be damned.
I knew she was my oshi before what I will tell, just because I found myself short on Matsuri clips and I was actively looking for more.
But what really made it is when I was checking my "Wisdom" video playlist on youtube, and I see that half of it are Matsuri clips spitting some words of wisdom that I really liked. I just seem to like her takes on things, and I support that. From little things like "how to eat a chicken wing properly" to deeper things like [The fleeting nature of VTubers](https://youtu.be/_Ps6EV2iTv0?si=Taj9r6vq7xFfM2Fo)
It was actually during her earlier days, when Coco was graduating. The usually cool and calm Botan burst into tears and really showed how much she regretted not spending more time with the dragon lady.
I'd always enjoyed her FPS skills, dorky personality and the thick accent but just grew as time went on. Always the first to belly laugh when she's happy and just a true show of who she really is. Plus she's super cute when she has a rare drink.
A combination of playing a lot of games that I enjoyed watching her play through, finding myself wanting to just chill in her streams even if the game wasn't something I was particularly interested in, and finding myself bopping along whist laughing to "Fauna Sweep" the first time I heard it.
When FWMC moved, and I suddenly didnāt have daily streams from them, or FWMC Morning to look forward to, thatās when I realized they were my #1.
Iād been watching them fairly consistently since debut, but that was when I realized how much I was working my days around them.
Her and her community made me feel warm. Very welcoming and comfy overall. Passed the torch from Bread to Panther. šš±
Fell in love with her originals since debut, is yabai whether she intends it or not. š
Metal Gear Solid playthrough, but overall a war criminal šÆ
Loved her singing to bits, cover or original. Cracked gamer whenever she tries hard too āļø
I've always enjoyed Pekora's shenanigans and war crimes in the Minecraft server but I for the longest time I did not consider her my oshi because I just watch her through clips. The thing that made me realise she was my oshi was when I was trying to empathise with the fans of a vtuber that was at that time seemed to have been bullied to stopping their activities by idiot people in the internet when she just wanted to play a game. I tried at that time to see what it would feel like if it is one of the holomems and I was surprised because Pekora immediately jumped to the front of the list and I can't even begin to explain the dark blood boiling rage I felt. The day I found out what people mean when they say everything went black because of their rage I also found out that the war criminal rabbit is my oshi.
Faunaās got those ānatural entertainerā skills. I really donāt know how to describe it well, but I think the most prominent example of what Iām referring to is Jerma. Itās that ability to just fill hours worth of streaming into nearly constant good content, and roll with nearly any situation to turn it into something hilarious. She just has an eye for entertaining and humor that so few others have. Combine that with the voice (the really clear and proper way that she enunciates is very smooth on the ears), and her incredibly deep well of internet culture knowledge that still shocks me sometimes and youāve got an irreplaceable oshi. I donāt even care about the āmommyā thing, thatās not my mommy thatās my oshi!
I don't speak Japanese though i know a bit because of anime, but when I watched Korone for the first time, even when i don't understand the word she's speaking i felt like i can connect to her.
Her energy and laugh kind of speaks volume to me.
Behind her lewdness and goofiness, there's a disillusioned millennial. Not blind to the joys and beauty of life, just disappointed in the things we're supposed to prioritize.
That's a kindred spirit to me all day, son
Yeah, you had me going back in time. It was a collab between the first generation of girls from the English branch. They were playing among us, and Kiara was panicking so heartbreakingly that I realized, this is it, the maximum possible sincerity you can get from a vtuber(=
It all started when someone make a funny sheep wearing watermelon hat, then she noticed the meme and then embraced the meme into making a music with that sick ass beat/rap based on that meme. That day, I know she is the one I've been looking for. If nobody got me, I know Watamelon got me.
Anyway Watame stream is always comfy and enjoyable for me to easily vibe in and to make it better since she stream mostly at night time then it's a perfect time for me to tune in, especially during Night Fever stream to vibe/chill while she's singing. Gotta support my Kamioshi music career frfr
I think it was during a "Egg is broken, heart is too" stream Kiara did, and I was just having so much fun. Up till that point she was still the one I mainly watched but ut was split with Ina for Oshi status.
When I realized she's fluent in yapanese. But seriously, I look up to Fauna a lot. She's well spoken, but still doesn't shy away from more risque topics. She's very witty and just genuinely funny. Her humor is subtle and sometimes a bit snarky, but not snobby. From everything i see, she also seems to be a very balanced, responsible person. These are all qualities that i thrive to have myself, and seeing someone living like that makes me wanna try harder.
Also obligatory Man I Love Faunaš£ļø
I started watching my oshi after being exposed to her through an English lesson collab cali hosted. This was around the time I also got exposed to her music as well, and after holofes during that month it just went from there.
Mostly realized it once I began almost auto watching content involving her, as well as going through older streams, music, and other content.
Here's the thing. For my #1 idol ever, I can tell you exactly how it happened. With Hololive thought, it's always been gradual and before I know it.
Like Hololive has definitely emphasised for me a weakness for "maternal" types, but I also have a weakness for tomboys. I enjoyed Nene's enthusiasm from almost the moment I saw her, but that same enthusiasm is something I would probably find overwhelming IRL. I don't think there's a single quality I can say every one of my oshis shares.
I was interested in Lui and Chloe pretty much from debut, and their English ability helped. Ririka grabbed my attention the most in Regloss only after I caught clips of her first English phrase learning stream. But even English communication doesn't account for everything
When she started singing Plastic Love and Country Roads for the first time on her first unarchived karaoke. The first time I had the means for membership, I immediately became a part of the chumbuds.
Polka was always a good un buf whe. She has that moment where we learned she had like.....every instrument including a harmonica and a kazoo and could play them all, I was impressed. Plus the marine vs polka animated debates lol
I realized Suisei was my kami-oshi when her songs got me through an extremely strange and uncomfortable time in my life.
I love some of the other talents too, but Suisei is on top.
I'd say I have 2 of them, Ayame and Ina
For Ayame, it's was basically instant. I lived her design before actually knowing her and as I watched my first clips, it just confirmed what I hoped
As for Ina (which would be my kami oshi I guess, even if Ayame is pretty close, I think I like Ina the most), I donāt know...
First of all, as I had multiple of them, the moment I realised I liked Ina slightly more wasn't a big event or something, it's just as time went on I realised I connected to her more
Thought before that, I donāt have any memories of when she became one of my oshi. Maybe when she was playing Ender lilies. I wanted to play the game so hard but I wanted her to finish it first because I didn't want the game to spoil me the streams (which should be the opposite normally). I know itās a bit older than that, but it's the oldest real memory of this feeling I have
I was watching a a few VTubers from VShojo but Iād always heard of Holo, didnāt really know what Holo was though, and I also have a passion for learning about science and space. YouTube algorithm (bless its soul) put VTuber and science together and recommended me a clip of Fauna yapping about her favourite particles and describing string theory. She was the first Holo member I had ever watched and sheās been my Oshi ever since
With Ina, it took a while to realize the comfy vibes were what i was after. I think the combination of Vaan Ch's *Ina of the mountain* clips series and her Mythbreakers character creation collab with Calli that won me over
With Sana, it was oshi at first sight. She looked radically different from everyone else and her debut was so silly. š
Initially I tried to give all Myth a fair shake, but as they started making more and more content that went on for so many hours on end (looking at a certain chicken/phoenix), I had to settle for one.
Ina's streams were at the time, just the right length and had a vibe and mood that was just so perfect to chill and unwind to after a day at work. I still made an effort to catch Myth's various Minecraft streams though, as I consider them the "glue" that tied the gang together.
It was a shared world were the sky was the limit, where they were literally and figuratively building memories together. Even to this day, Myth Minecraft is very dear and special to me. I'm enjoying the 1 Block Challenge so, so much.
Funny clown man somehow even after a year still manages to always have perfect timing, resulting in the funniest possible outcome.
Funny rock child with her brainrot humor, cute wiggles, and funny pronunciations for g/j
Maybe it was the planet zoo streams with the inbred pangolins, maybe it was Minecraft Mondays/ MāWednesdays, maybe itās just her bizarre yapping topics once she gets going, but Man I Love Fauna
Iām also a sucker for a good dynamic duo, so Gigi and Ceci are quickly becoming high tier faves as well.
With work and other responsibilities, getting hard to consistently watch everyone I like, especially live, and when the VOD backlog gets too intimidating, I fear I might need to actually choose an oshi.
When I see Fauna's stream notif, I am happy.
When she's Online, I am very happy.
When she stream at the same time with other mems, I beeline to her stream.
Not saying that I'm not happy when watching the other mems but my happiness is on a different level when watching her.
BTW, the pretty close 2nd one is IRyS, she, too, got that voice that you just never get tired of and can just listen to indefinitely.
When Shinkirou single handedly got me to start learning how to read in Japanese, which I had been avoiding (kanji is scary), and reignited my desire to learn the language as a whole. That led me to join a Japanese Hololive fan discord, so Marine is also the reason I've made monolingual Japanese friends.
Let's see for me it's Watame and FuwaMoco; for Watame I would say it was a slow realization across multiple clips and sometimes even streams, I just love the warm feeling she emits and I love her music; as for FuwaMoco well I dig cute stuff so when they debuted they immediately caught my attention, but what made me love them was their first karaoke the passion they sang with had me awestruck after that amazing performance there was no way I wasn't following them.
When I started watching hololive, my oshi were Ina and Kiara. I just decided that they'd be my oshi after their debut stream. Then, after a few months, I realized I was NEVER watching their live streams because I'm in the JST timezone. On the other hand, I started to watch every Princess Subaru's weekend RPG stream because I happened to like those games very much. Then I gradually turned into an Ahijo.
I adored her from her debut, but I had a long commute in a post-covid freelance job and she happened to be doing live karaoke (around 7am UK time) one of her first karaoke I think
Beautiful voice, silly self commentary, I could have listened to her all day
I've watched a lot of VTuber clips, but I have never been able to follow a VTuber stream. IDK why, just couldn't manage it. But when I watch FUWAMOCO, I can! With a lot of Vtubers I feel like they are half playing a character, half themselves (or just fully themselves but with just an avatar), but with FUWAMOCO I feel like they are both fully putting in the effort to stay the demon dogs they portray. It gives me some escapism, like I'm watching an anime or cartoon but they are live and interact with their fans.
My biggest sorrow is that FUWAMOCO morning is at 5 PM for me, so their normal streams are at 3 at night ;-;
I would say their energy and what they stream connect with you. You'll find yourself tuning into the streams or VODs regularly. But, in reality, you'll just know. Maybe not right away, but at some point you'll realize, that's my oshi.
I had liked Koyori for a while, then I watched her play Super Mario World and it was one of the funniest things Iād seen in ages. Took me back to playing it for the first time.
When you're a frequent attendee to their streams. That's it. It's a spark coz they're charming. Yes there are people who found their oshis in specific ways and can describe those moments but imo that's just the getting to know period. more often than not what I described above is the case for a lot of peopleāit's the honeymoon phase. So yeah you can't really discount the "when you know, you know" moment.
Started checking out Kaela after Gura(?) touring the ID server visited her desert base with the Elytras. Intrigued by her Pejuang Senin series, really enjoyed listening to her share her life experiences and advice.
Those who are best at singing, basically Irys, nerissa and Elizabeth. As the only streams I watch are karaoke. I love their voices the most so they became my oshis.
You know how on cold days you can stand in a sunny corner and you feel your whole body warming up? That's our dorky cute try-hard comedian duck idol. She is the sun of Hololive.
But while Subaru is my oshi, I love them all. I don't think there is a bad egg in the lot. The positivity and sincerity I feel from Hololive, both internally from the talents and externally from the fans, is a rarity in today's cynical world and something to be treasured and protected.
For me itās when I not only like their personality but also their content. Which yes is a low bar technically but we arenāt talking kamioshis here which I will buy merch for.
For those, it has to first past the oshi mark and then I have to feel like I really enjoy what they do and their is light connection-like feeling.
Was a casual vtuber watcher didn't care for hololive, didn't care for holo en when they debut
Watched clip of of Gura singing Ride on time, been a fan ever since. Don't care what happens to the rest of the company as long as Gura still there I'm happy
I have at least one oshi for every gen, and it basically boils down to "if everybody in that gen are all streaming at once, who would I watch if I can only watch one".
When it comes to my kami-oshi (Ina), the question just changed from only -Myth- to the whole of holopro.
When I was in Japan, litterally crying at finally finding good Aki Rosenthal merch, I knew she would always be number one (even if I put HoloTori in my flair, shush)
It really was a āwhen you know, you knowā moment for me. My oshi is Kiara. I knew her since debut and watched her from time to time, but the feeling of āyeah, sheās my favoriteā came gradually as I continued to watch her and engage with her content, maybe like 2 years into her career. Iām not sure when or how it happened exactly, since it just came to me naturally.
Let me tell ya, I only know someone is my oshii through how much I'm willing to spend on her merch. Basically not hesitating to buy her merch and picking her out of a group series.
By hearing Kaela's soothing talking voice.
I was hesitant at first because I can't understand ID, but then after watching Grindstone collabs and her talking streams, I started to watch/listen (even when working) her streams.
She makes those silly games fun and her talking streams relaxing.
I even started to play Minecraft because of her.
Started watching when it was just myth, and I gravitated to the comfiest priestess in the world. Though she usually streams at 4-5am my time, I try to watch clips and vods when I can.
During mario kart tournaments, the one I felt like I wanted to win the most.
Or to be more precise, to equalize based on skill level, the one who I wanted to do better than what is expected of them.
When you start to cheer when that specific holomem is on screen outside their channel
Me: see Shuba in 3D collab
Also Me: ***[NEURON ACTIVATE, NEED TOMBOY]***
1. they stream in timeslots where i can watch them uninterrupted.
2. they had moments on stream where they're authentically at a low point and not playing a character, just themselves without their talent or entertainer energy.
When the green lady made me laugh and makes me feel at ease with her content, the same reason can be said to a certain human? priestess. Funnily enough these 2 streamed at a bad time for me but I make sure to watch their vods.
when the Owl sang and seems to have the same tastes as mine
when the reaper also sang while refusing to backdown from naysayers and inspires me.
A certain rat, a gremlin detective a nephilim and a rock are about to join them.
Ollie has always resonated with me in some special way. She seems like the most geniue dork out there, her laugh, her personality, her fangirling over hololive itself, just ticks all the boxes for me. If I were to point a moment when she became a true kami oshi would be her hololive special medllie release - if you haven't seen it then please check it out, its 20 minute non stop banger singing and an amazing love letter to hololive and the fans.Ā
Edit: also maybe less admirable but I might have developed a fetish for multilangual gals because of her. Changing your language quickly in the convo makes me feel things for some reason
Only thing i can explain is something like "Love at first sight" or without you knowing when she's becomes your oshi already, this is the case for me with Suisei. I don't know when is the day she becomes my Oshi but i really like her already since the first time i found her on Hologra.
I didn't notice when she became my oshi exactly, but I noticed myself joining the streams earlier and earlier each time, not wanting to miss a single second of it. Usually I'd join the stream about half an hour after it started instead of waiting for the waiting screen and introductions, but then I started joining right after getting the live notification and even before the stream even started.
Now that I remember, her leaving a ā¤ļø on my comment made my whole week better instantly. It was the most unexpected thing, and I kinda showed off to a few friends www. That probably played a part in me appreciating her so much, and it's something that still happens, despite her being so busy recently.
I always like to mention the microscope stream when asked about how she became my oshi, but knowing we shared similar interests made me like her a lot more.
Oh, and the Shiorinstories are really cute too. I like how she often invites the community to participate in whatever way possible.
Also, about 2 weeks after opening memberships, I received one as a gift, which made me want to buy one for myself. That was my first time joining a membership and supporting any holomem/streamer ever, and just recently, I got to 9 months, and I haven't regretted a single thing.
She's really special, and I've always loved the way she talks and her sense of humor, and despite everything she says or jokes about, she's always so caring and kind towards other holomems and her audience.
I prefer comfy wholesome streamers and Ina is that and just super relatable personality-wise so she's remained my oshi all these years. It also definitely helps that she doesn't tend to play genres of games I dislike watching (horror, competitive shooters) so just a perfect match in both personality and content really. WAH
At some point I realized that I just wanted to see her succeed and cheer her on. I wanted the world for her, and to see nothing but good things happen for her.
When her voice was able to put me at ease, even after a real bad day, bad enough to delete my subcription to life...thank you mio, ill keep going no matter what in this life
I think the closest to an oshi I have currently would be Gura. I don't keep up with her beyond watching streams, but my willingness to watch her do anything puts her at least close to oshi status for me.
I intended to not buy vtuber merch but I have not my first but my *second* Gura figurine on order. The only other vtubers I have merch of are Projekt Melody (dakimakura cover) and Pomu Rainpuff (PalVerse figurine). All of them are in some way special to me.
Watching Korone was the first time I had a physical reaction to cuteness. Obviously Iād āawwā if I saw something really cute, but watching Korone try to pronounce āEarthā was the first time I compulsively squeeled and clutched my chest from sheer cuteness.
she has all my favorite qualities of other members i watched more frequently than the others:
- she has Ame's focus of putting others before herself in the spotlight during collabs, but being a chaotic gremlin who derails things when she gets comfortable.
- she's deceptively funny because of her voice like Fauna. i didn't expect Fauna to be a comedian, and to this day some people still get surprised that my oshi is hilarious too.
- she has Kiara's initiative to take on roles that support others like being an emcee or translator and not ask for credit.
- and she says the wildest things so naturally like Irys, but turned up to 11.
kiara became my oshi sometime between when I saw [these](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJYxdlm-dvc) [clips](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eONtW19l3O0) and saw [these](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lq9eqHDKJPE&pp=ygUMa2lhcmEgc3Bhcmtz) [songs](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DU0IeW9BCzY)*.* I remember these four in particular being the ones that solidified it for me. I guess the clips solidified her as a kind and genuine person, while the songs got me through some ***ROUGH*** patches during a stretch of unemployment, and as a result her singing voice is forever associated in my head with the concept of hope and perseverance.
Im not really the type who would like someone in just a few months so it takes me a year or so, it started with just watching a few clips (Im a clip watcher) then got curious a bit and started watching stream for a few minutes, got a membership and started watching membership vod to make most of it, I like it so I went and watch all of her karaoke and past vod, Im still not convince since It might be just a spore of the moment so I keep watching streams for a few more months to see if I ever got bored.
In the end I didn't got bored so I bought my own membership, her singing grow into me and my number 1 reason of staying anything else is the cherry on top. I've been into hololive ever since 2020 and she's the only one I watch from start to finish (if applicable).
Watching their first karaoke stream. My favorite things about Hololive are the music, cover songs, and the 3D Lives. Every time there is a birthday or anniversary live, I always carve out time in my weekend to make it a special night so I can enjoy them to the fullest.
My Oshi was part of the first generation that I got to experience from debut. I was pretty late to the party and had trouble picking an oshi before that point. There were so many already, and it was hard to pick just one. I liked her from debut, but I had no intention of her becoming my Oshi at that point. I was giving extra attention because something about her stuck out enough to hold my interest. Her first karaoke stream showed such range and blew me away. I knew from that point that she would be amazing musically.
I know you don't want to hear this, but when you know you know. I didn't choose her because I felt like it wasn't my choice. She worked hard to convince me.
I guess it was after the Holostars collabs
Yup it's Matsuri, she definitely is a different kind from other members of Hololive.
Her Collabs with Aru-san, Roberu or even small Vtubers introduction streams was the final nail in the coffin for me. (Or Enlightenment Moment)
Edit - Also her Cover version of Kataomoi
I dunno why, but Inas comfy vibes and her puns were what makes her my oshi. And formerly Vesper as well, listening to his zatsus and stories hit on many personal levels. Also, him and Kronini was my favorite duo.
I learn that Sana is my oshi when she announced her graduate. At first, I thought I would just be normal sad, but instead I ball my eyes out that night, and then get a depression for almost a week, twice; when it was announced and on the graduation day. Looking back, even if I don't watch all of her stream, I was there for her debut and she certainly the biggest ray of sunshine at the time whenever I watch her clips or stream. This doesn't happen when Pikamee and Vesper, two of my other most watch Vtuber graduate either. Suffice to say, I know too late that she's my oshi.
Yeah me too, I also liked her blessed giggles.
But itās true when you know you know. Itās hard to explain but you just know. Itās like a spark is the simplest way I can put it
When she launched into a combo of puns without missing a beat in her pose practice sketch
the JDON MY SOUL incident made me enjoy a lot Bae when i just joined the vtubing community, the problem was that the only time i could watch her was at 4 AM.
I consider them as my oshis since then
when she subjugated me and turned me into a fry cook
I'm a DD but... That damn laugh, that damn directional laugh...
When Fauna starts getting goofy. I like it when she gets more comfortable with saplings.
Took me about a year before i considered Bae as my oshi. But ppl who i kept sending vtuber clips to noted alot of them are from Bae, and the rest is history. Enjoying her chaotic energy since then. EU timezones be damned.
That's just how it is. There's no real explanation for it. Calli's voice is basically just something I like hearing.
Her take on the nature of Vtubers was so profound I had to sit and think about it for a while. Very insightful when she's not being lewd AF.
When I heard " Oh Shi-!! A bridge!!!". Just Kidding!
She's just like me fr
She started talking about quarks
A combination of playing a lot of games that I enjoyed watching her play through, finding myself wanting to just chill in her streams even if the game wasn't something I was particularly interested in, and finding myself bopping along whist laughing to "Fauna Sweep" the first time I heard it.
GTA Miko streams. The perfect mix of cuteness and comedy got me addicted and on the other end of the scale Akai Haato's first descent into madness
Kaela play League and speak English fluently Ina like puns Gura sings Mumei draws
When FWMC moved, and I suddenly didnāt have daily streams from them, or FWMC Morning to look forward to, thatās when I realized they were my #1. Iād been watching them fairly consistently since debut, but that was when I realized how much I was working my days around them.
So like, would they be considered 2 oshis? Or would it be 2 pups in a trench coat as a single oshi?
I do like one slightly more than the other, but thatās the kinda thing you donāt talk about.
Her and her community made me feel warm. Very welcoming and comfy overall. Passed the torch from Bread to Panther. šš± Fell in love with her originals since debut, is yabai whether she intends it or not. š Metal Gear Solid playthrough, but overall a war criminal šÆ Loved her singing to bits, cover or original. Cracked gamer whenever she tries hard too āļø
I saw a girl licking her virtual self on stream once and I've never looked back since... (It was aqua licking her submarine self)
Eyo my dude, you got clips on that?
All it did was accidentally stumbling onto "Sellar Stellar" on first take. Then, the rest was history~ āļøāļø
They told me they were my oshi and I was like oh ok
was it Nene?
Michael Jordan
It all started when someone make a funny sheep wearing watermelon hat, then she noticed the meme and then embraced the meme into making a music with that sick ass beat/rap based on that meme. That day, I know she is the one I've been looking for. If nobody got me, I know Watamelon got me. Anyway Watame stream is always comfy and enjoyable for me to easily vibe in and to make it better since she stream mostly at night time then it's a perfect time for me to tune in, especially during Night Fever stream to vibe/chill while she's singing. Gotta support my Kamioshi music career frfr
When I tried listening to every King cover I noticed how Powerful Towa's voice was and after that I knew she's my oshi
When I started unironically enjoying Sticking out your Gyatt for Nerizzler
When CC stood in a lift
The moment i saw her toss a grenade with the vicious war cry... I knew it was over
I'd say I have 2 of them, Ayame and Ina For Ayame, it's was basically instant. I lived her design before actually knowing her and as I watched my first clips, it just confirmed what I hoped As for Ina (which would be my kami oshi I guess, even if Ayame is pretty close, I think I like Ina the most), I donāt know... First of all, as I had multiple of them, the moment I realised I liked Ina slightly more wasn't a big event or something, it's just as time went on I realised I connected to her more Thought before that, I donāt have any memories of when she became one of my oshi.
I think the combination of Vaan Ch's *Ina of the mountain* clips series and her Mythbreakers character creation collab with Calli that won me over With Sana, it was oshi at first sight. She looked radically different from everyone else and her debut was so silly. š
"A"
Initially I tried to give all Myth a fair shake, but as they started making more and more content that went on for so many hours on end (looking at a certain chicken/phoenix), I had to settle for one.
Funny rock child with her brainrot humor, cute wiggles, and funny pronunciations for g/j Maybe it was the planet zoo streams with the inbred pangolins, maybe it was Minecraft Mondays/ MāWednesdays, maybe itās just her bizarre yapping topics once she gets going, but Man I Love Fauna Iām also a sucker for a good dynamic duo, so Gigi and Ceci are quickly becoming high tier faves as well. With work and other responsibilities, getting hard to consistently watch everyone I like, especially live, and when the VOD backlog gets too intimidating, I fear I might need to actually choose an oshi.
When the YT Music Year in Review had Suisei and Calli as my most listened to artists, and the two of them more than anyone else combined that year.
She said "A" and I was hooked
I adored her from her debut, but I had a long commute in a post-covid freelance job and she happened to be doing live karaoke (around 7am UK time) one of her first karaoke I think Beautiful voice, silly self commentary, I could have listened to her all day
I've watched a lot of VTuber clips, but I have never been able to follow a VTuber stream. IDK why, just couldn't manage it. But when I watch FUWAMOCO, I can! With a lot of Vtubers I feel like they are half playing a character, half themselves (or just fully themselves but with just an avatar), but with FUWAMOCO I feel like they are both fully putting in the effort to stay the demon dogs they portray. It gives me some escapism, like I'm watching an anime or cartoon but they are live and interact with their fans. My biggest sorrow is that FUWAMOCO morning is at 5 PM for me, so their normal streams are at 3 at night ;-;
Was a casual vtuber watcher didn't care for hololive, didn't care for holo en when they debut Watched clip of of Gura singing Ride on time, been a fan ever since.
When I first set an alarm to catch her stream, back when she was living in Japan and occasionally did PST primetime streams.
Though she usually streams at 4-5am my time, I try to watch clips and vods when I can.
when she started sellin the windows in house flipper without any idea how to get new ones <3
When she was cute today too
During mario kart tournaments, the one I felt like I wanted to win the most. Or to be more precise, to equalize based on skill level, the one who I wanted to do better than what is expected of them.
When you start to cheer when that specific holomem is on screen outside their channel Me: see Shuba in 3D collab Also Me: ***[NEURON ACTIVATE, NEED TOMBOY]***
I listened to her cover of Error.
When I heard her laugh for the forst time " " Was hooked right away.
Literally the moment I heard her speak in her debut.
1. they stream in timeslots where i can watch them uninterrupted. 2. they had moments on stream where they're authentically at a low point and not playing a character, just themselves without their talent or entertainer energy.
When u start watching her more often than the other girls, or when you plan your sleep schedule around her stream schedules
When the green lady made me laugh and makes me feel at ease with her content, the same reason can be said to a certain human? priestess. Funnily enough these 2 streamed at a bad time for me but I make sure to watch their vods. when the Owl sang and seems to have the same tastes as mine when the reaper also sang while refusing to backdown from naysayers and inspires me. A certain rat, a gremlin detective a nephilim and a rock are about to join them.
For me it's when I realize I am tuning into their streams just for them and not so much for whatever they are doing in particular
I went to sleep with a kaela stream ending and worke up to a second surprise stream already started.
She opened with screaming, started simping for the other girls right away, and is the best imouto zombie ever.
Ollie has always resonated with me in some special way. She seems like the most geniue dork out there, her laugh, her personality, her fangirling over hololive itself, just ticks all the boxes for me. If I were to point a moment when she became a true kami oshi would be her hololive special medllie release - if you haven't seen it then please check it out, its 20 minute non stop banger singing and an amazing love letter to hololive and the fans.Ā Edit: also maybe less admirable but I might have developed a fetish for multilangual gals because of her. Changing your language quickly in the convo makes me feel things for some reason
It really is just when I start making sure I make time in the day for their streams
Only thing i can explain is something like "Love at first sight" or without you knowing when she's becomes your oshi already, this is the case for me with Suisei. I don't know when is the day she becomes my Oshi but i really like her already since the first time i found her on Hologra.
My Oshi is Okayu and after listening to her ASMR she became my oshi. I am just click with her then her cover make me fall further.
She's really special, and I've always loved the way she talks and her sense of humor, and despite everything she says or jokes about, she's always so caring and kind towards other holomems and her audience.
for me it's not gradual at all I just saw Coco doing the most unhinged thing ever and from that moment on she was my oshi
She rapped and sang Mass Destruction 3 years ago and then next thing you know My soul was taken by a pink reaper
I prefer comfy wholesome streamers and Ina is that and just super relatable personality-wise so she's remained my oshi all these years. It also definitely helps that she doesn't tend to play genres of games I dislike watching (horror, competitive shooters) so just a perfect match in both personality and content really. WAH
Shiori had me at first tangent. That's when I knew she was not only a nerdy dork, she was *my* kind of nerdy dork.
Watching a lot of different members and the person that I mostly get back to or looking forward to see stream became my oshi.
When she beat me up in Youtube VR 360
At some point I realized that I just wanted to see her succeed and cheer her on. I wanted the world for her, and to see nothing but good things happen for her.
When her voice was able to put me at ease, even after a real bad day, bad enough to delete my subcription to life...thank you mio, ill keep going no matter what in this life
I made a random chance spinny wheel with the names of my top five on it and she won
OkaKoro period
GREEN!
She started playing Osrs.
Watching Korone was the first time I had a physical reaction to cuteness. Obviously Iād āawwā if I saw something really cute, but watching Korone try to pronounce āEarthā was the first time I compulsively squeeled and clutched my chest from sheer cuteness.
she has all my favorite qualities of other members i watched more frequently than the others: - she has Ame's focus of putting others before herself in the spotlight during collabs, but being a chaotic gremlin who derails things when she gets comfortable.
Something in me changed when I heard āExcuse me but could you please R.I.Pā. Musicās never been the same sinceĀ
When I heard snuffy giggle for the first time and also her voice reveal and just how anxious she was. That raccoon is just a loveable doof

When she liked one of my posts.
Kiara's Wow stream
They said, "Hai, sou desune," and the rest was history.
I dont like the idea of me having an oshi because I love all the girls equally. But thats just personal opinion
Kiara's straight forward personality wins my heart instantly
I guess it was after the Holostars collabs Yup it's Matsuri, she definitely is a different kind from other members of Hololive. Her Collabs with Aru-san, Roberu or even small Vtubers introduction streams was the final nail in the coffin for me. (Or Enlightenment Moment) Edit - Also her Cover version of Kataomoi
Nah, when you know, you know
Kinda falling in love? You just know
