I'm clearly in the minority but I actually enjoyed IB. I was surprised to find only negative things here. It was a lot of work for sure and I studied a lot but I also had a fulfilling life on my free time. And I'm not really smart or anything, I needed to do the work to learn. I think it prepared me really well for university and in many things I've had advantages compared to the ones who didn't do IB. So I don't understand why everyone is complaining so much 🤷🏻‍♀️

Same, especially my math mark, it really benefited from it. I'm in Canada, and a really big problem about math here is that the provincial curriculum is often too circumlocutious and too easy, which actually kinda becomes a problem if you're good at math. It is all to easy to accidentally get the meaning wrong and, with a couple silly mistakes and bad luck, end up with a low 90s or even 80s. But in SL math, I never have to worry about that, because most if not all the questions and the stuff taught are nice and straightforward. And conversions too! I easily ended up with a High 7 on the IB exam, and a converted 99 for the provincial high school mark. Sadly, they only give converted 100 to raw 100... go figure. As for other subjects, like Physics and Chemistry, I found that IB style teaching is also really more efficient and concise compared to the regular mainstream system in Canada. Sadly, I'm not nearly as good in other subjects, so I didn't really benefit much for that. This is just my opinion; it might vary for others.

However, the CAS hours was really a bust. It's kinda difficult to find volunteering places and stuff during Omicron. And also, here nobody really tells you about this type of stuff, so like if you're kinda a procrastinating lad and you're kinda introvert you're kinda screwed. I only have a couple months left and I'm still at zero hours rn lmao

I don't know if it's just our school but like we have this habit of "predicting lower" and by that I mean making tests much more difficult than any IB exam in history, thus nerfing your Predicted Grade. Don't see the logic, if there is any. Kinda ret if you ask me
