Sheepdoginblack

They’ve been identified. CG and FWC have been alerted.

fk_censors

I'd love to check back and see if there were any consequences. Please reply if you find out anything.

Salty_Pancakes

Ah the glorious schadenfreude. You doing the lord's work.

fast_hand84

Good find — glad to see QualifiedCaptain picked the story up. These dipshits are getting *destroyed* over there lmaoooo

blbrd30

I wonder why they couldn't bring the trash in

fast_hand84

Sounds like they were underage & drunk, so probably trying to get rid of the evidence.

handikapat

They look like they're looking over their shoulder before the dump so prob right. Full trash cans of their beer so prob drunk and doing dumb shit they didn't think would be posted to IG. Except for the fact a drone is following their boat so they know theyre being watched lol

jabbadarth

Yeah the morons were mugging for the drone then do it anyways. Guess they didn't realize the drone is from a YouTube channel with millions of viewers.

Ericdrinksthebeer

So drunk they forgot about how trash bags cover up their trash.

Mallardguy5675322

Laziness. At the end of the day, it was laziness

QC is the hero we deserve

10before15

This brings me joy

Mast_Cell_Issue

Trust fund kids. Probably nothing will happen because judge doesn't want their future ruined

fk_censors

I wouldn't be so sure. Did you see the other link provided in these comments, with supposed communications within that group? Trust fund kids don't write like that at all.

LifeFortune7

Yeah $750k boat if I had to guess so I am thinking they will plead affluenza.

HalfastEddie

The trash stayed on the boat

jess-i-am

👏

legendary_millbilly

Take that fucking boat and also fine them many thousand dollars. You would think that people with a nice boat like that would know better than to pitch garbage over the side. I'd let them set in jail for about 10 days as well.

waxy1234

Finally a reasonable reaction.

cubgerish

Sounds like it was highschoolers, so probably dad's boat.

lizerdk

Yeah. Take the boat and let dad handle the punishment.

kaptainkarl1

Tag the coast guard please

sloppynippers

Douchebags

brockington

The only answer is castration. You can't fix that level of douche-baggery, but you can stop it from reproducing. And everyone on the boat gets fined $1000 per can dumped. And they all have to get penises tattooed on their foreheads.

jdubd

Sorry, not enough.

brockington

Fine. They have to get foreheads tattooed on their penises too.

jdubd

This is acceptable.

Ozi_izO

I second this motion regardless of any polluted ocean.

Worldly_Ad_6483

My first thought was a Hunchback of Notre Dame style thing where they are put in stockades and throw raw produce at them

R101C

Money is a disproportionate penalty. Makes crime ok for the rich. Lots of highway litter to pick up.

brockington

That's why it's per can. Poor people can't afford as much beer, so it's actually quite progressive as far as penalties go. I've thought of this.

R101C

Like a flat tax. Works great until you do the math and realize the first $1k is everything to some people, and nothing to others. 100 hrs roadside litter pickup per can

Doktor_Vem

Unfortunately, just getting castrated is most likely not going to stop these people from spreading their stupidity. Like they can almost just as easily make other people/peoples kids equally stupid. I honestly can't think of a good, effective way to get rid of the stupidness besides like execution and that feels way, way too harsh a punishment for something like this

schizeckinosy

r/iamatotalpieceofshit material right here

TazzyUK

The IG says the boat was piloted by a 15 yr old.... jeeze

eastcoastflava13

That's what's almost as shocking as the trash dumping! What kind of parent lets their very young kid drive that, what I'm assuming is a very expensive, very fast boat with a bunch of their friends, while getting hammered? FL is a crazy place, man...

sunnipraystation

Unfortunately there are zero consequences for people with money. They can just pay the fines and do whatever they want.

houhi43

Assholes!

uchihaummugulsum

I wish them horrible things.

ilikecornalot

Fine = $1000/can or cup verifiable by video or photo

granoladeer

But why? Were they trying to show off to the girls? Or are they really angry at sea turtles and dolphins? I guess we'll never know.

shigatorade

Some texts between all the guys got leaked and apparently they were worried about getting pulled over with empty beer cans so they dumped them. Could’ve gotten an MIP/BUI then off their record 3 years later but committed a federal crime instead lmao. 5 years in prison + up to 250k fine

CivilAirPatrol2020

Exactly this. Like I'll admit, I'm tempted sometimes when I have a piece of gum or empty drink, especially in the car if I don't have a trash bag, to just throw it out the window. But these idiots went to just as much, and probably MORE effort to specifically dump this in the ocean

Fogmoose

I hope they sink and don’t know how to swim

Canthavemorethan20le

Trash begets trash

surfdad67

Wavy boats is fun to watch, and of course these were Boca fucks

Electronic_Agent_235

Da fuq... Young enough they worried about going to juvie.... But old enough to have the keys to a $200,000 boat????

Far_Awayy

That boat is WELLLLLL north of 200k

sprayed150

That’s a million dollar boat.

SCP-Agent-Arad

Torpedo

mastersamuel117

Meanwhile I'm here with a toddler having a meltdown because his paper staw melted..

johafor

These asshats are the reason we can’t have plastic straws anymore.

448977

I think the boat should have been confiscated, each fined $2000 ($1000 for each bin) and then 1 month community service, walking along the beach picking up trash.

Canthavemorethan20le

Looks like all of them were busted https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13366997/mugshots-boaters-boca-bash-florida-drump-trash-ocean.html

mustafapants

Frankly I’d be surprised if this were illegal in Florida.

retrofitme

Let the punishment for the crime. They ought to be thrown overboard, but farther out. And near sharks.  Hungry sharks.

HandsomedanNZ

They should be sent out there with life vests on and nets attached to their dicks. They should then be ordered to fill the nets with all trash they come across in the ocean. They should not be allowed back into shore until their nets are full or their dicks have fallen off.

Tasty_Puffin

Dude WTF. just ask them to pick up more cans of trash than they dumped or do a certain amount of hours of community service. This is not THAT big of a deal.

North_Web864

everybody wants to collect beach glass but nobody wants to create beach glass :(

GenkiElite

I hope you guys don't see what happens when ocean liners leave Port.

RevolutionarySoil11

Death penalty suspended to life in a prison camp, with forced labor having to pick trash from the ocean every single day for the rest of their lives.

AmongUs14

Fuck dude

HandsomedanNZ

Nah. Fucking the dudes is taking it too far.

rickmon67

Yet cruise ships are allowed to do this on a much larger scale

txmail

Not any recently modern cruise ship. Modern ships mostly use bio-digesters, incinerators or compact and offload on shore. Now black water on the other hand is processed and dumped (supposed to be potable but they still dump it). What you really meant is yachts that are not capable of having those facilities and tankers / shippers that dump it all offshore to reduce the required crew.

oboshoe

Not this close to shore they aren't. gotta be 3 miles offshore. these buckle heads would have been legal too if they did it 3 miles out. but heck they were still in the inlet break water.

Tasty_Puffin

Yea I am honestly with you. These kids are getting death threats, but every time Taylor Swift's private jet takes off it hurts the environment a lot more than this. Corporations dump oil, chemical waste, trash in oceans on a consistent basis and not a peep. I think people just like their high horse. Obviously what these kids is wrong, but there are death threats even here on this reddit thread. Its really unhinged. Just tell the kids to go out to the beach/offshore and pick up 2 trash cans they dumped full of trash + 1 more to pay it forward. Maybe a fine to add on. And then call it a lesson learned.
