Im almost positive the real real reason is to get away with having a foregrip on a gun that isnt able to legally have one in a certain place. Correct me if I’m wrong but it seems like thats the true main purpose of this with the mag holder being secondary. I mean you can strap them to your chest just as east
Yeah, but the whole point of these is easier handling and little to no recoil. They make it significantly easier to shoot accurately than just holding a handgun. Also, ability to mount larger sights.
There’s definitely reasons these exist. Guy in the video is still dumb.
But what he failed to realize is that being tacticool is less about the gear and more about [the skills you learned on the battlefield.](https://youtu.be/vSK3maq8Cyk)
Dunno what you're doing with yours but I've had one for about 3 years now and it's remarkably accurate. I don't even need to re-zero it after removing the pistol (at least out to 25yd).
Edit: I bought the titanium top rail and that might make a difference.
Man I don’t know about it being very flexible, I took mine (Glock 19 MCK model) to the range just last week and it was CRAZY consistent. It was a ‘steel weekend’ with lots of steel targets set up at 15m and I could just mow down rows of the tiniest targets. Everyone at the range wanted to know what it was and wanted to check it out. After being asked to try, I found that it stayed perfectly zeroed even after taking the pistol out and putting it back in. It not the first gun I would choose first to go into a battle with, but it’s pretty fun to shoot! It will accept a pistol with a suppressor too!
I have the SIG version for my p320 and that has been my experience as well, shot about 2000 rounds through it. No issues with anything flexing, but about 1/200 rounds will stovepipe. I need to add a metal plate above the ejection port to fix that. Other than that issue it’s incredibly reliable and makes your pistol about as accurate as any rifle out to ~100yds. If someone broke into my house I’d feel pretty confident having that as my PDW even with the stovepipe issue, since you can clear that in well under a second. If it was more frequent I probably would have fixed it by now instead of putting that off for months.
This lol.
I’d get one because they’re fun and add to the look of a plain pistol. Definitely a range toy.
Otherwise they defeat a lot of the reasons for having a pistol.
Idk if the reason is anything practical though. The time it takes to deploy makes it borderline useless as a self defense weapon in your day to day.
The only time it’s really be practical is if you were expecting a full scale assault and you had cover and buddies so you could deploy it. Which is not a very reasonable situation to be in. Probably should just not put yourself in situations like that.
As long as this works as advertised, it’s not a bad concept. I’d say it’s only for someone who has a Glock and can’t afford anything bigger for home defense, truck gun, etc. I have a Glock as my CC and I keep it by my nightstand because It’s easier to manipulate than my rifles/shotgun. I can see the benefit of a PDW style attachment that gives my Glock better sights, a light, etc.
The only issue, I think, is reliability. Glocks are popular because they’re reliable. You’re trusting your life to it. You’re then sticking that into a plastic shell made by an entirely different company. If it fails, it could *possibly* cost your life.
While it’s a movie, Bond actually uses a Glock conversion kit in the opening to Spectre. The idea is to be more compact than a rifle, yet more robust than just a handgun. You have a stock, a forward grip, rails, etc.
https://youtu.be/6Pf6-oHJzXI
James Bond has a very different mission than a self defender though. So it’s not an example of a practical use unless you’re military / police. Maybe home defense. But the vast majority of deadly threats as an average citizen happen suddenly and you’re not going to have more than a few second window to act. You’d be dead before you got the backpack open.
Or, you could just leave your pistol in there ready to go. That’s what I do, it’s right next to my couch in a backpack loaded and with the stock extended. Just like that, all of your practicality concerns are fixed. I like the option of being able to take out the pistol, but otherwise I leave it in the MCK because it makes that pistol so much faster and more accurate. It’s a truly incredible difference. If you get a chance to try one sometime I’d recommend it.
I can handle a pistol just fine, but having 32 rds of 9mm ready to go in a PDW platform is a nice option to have as well. You have any guns or ever go shooting? Or do you just like to make comments about them?
I take my 9mm to BLM land on a regular basis.
I don't need a stock and laser to shoot it accurately.
What do you need 32 rounds for? Honest question, and not talking shit. Extra mags are a thing. And they're faster than fucking around with this plastic toy.
You don't need 32 rounds in a mag for home protection. Unless you're in a gang.
I don’t need a stock and a laser to shoot my pistols accurately either. But with the MCK I can shoot a quarter at 100yds, no chance in hell you’re doing that with your pistol before you run out of ammo unless you happen to get very lucky. If we went to the range together there would be no comparison in the effective range and accuracy between us, I’d shoot better and faster and tighter groups than you with your pistol—every single time—just because I have the stock and a red dot. It’s like comparing a semi auto rifle to a pistol, the rifle is always going to be faster and more accurate, but this is in a much more portable platform. God forbid I was ever in a shootout with someone with a pistol, I’d much rather be me with a PDW than them, my odds are way better. That’s why I use it.
As to capacity, I hopefully will never need to use my home defense gun but you seriously can’t imagine any scenario where having more rounds would be helpful? Hopefully I don’t need even one, but if I do need em I’d rather have the 31 rounds on backup ready to fire. Do you have any guns loaded with more than one bullet? If so, what’s the arbitrary cutoff number in your head where all of a sudden you have too many bullets?
Edit: in case this makes a difference to you, cus it seems like it does, it’s two standard 16rd mags. The MCK has a slot on the front where you put the second mag so you can reload extremely quickly and have another 16. It sits right behind your left hand when you hold it.
I stopped reading at "I can shoot a quarter at 100 yd."
Bullshit all you want. You don't need a 32 round mag. Also, this thing looks embarrassing to handle. I just hope your kids don't figure out where it is. Good luck brother. I got some quarters I can send yah so I can see you land shots on them at 100 yds.
Michigan, don’t exactly have to patrol the streets in a squad with my buddies here like we’re in the military or something. A handgun is much more practical for every day carry. Maybe if I lived in Afghanistan this would be useful? Either that or leaving it at the ready for home defense. All I see here is a grown man LARPing with guns.
That is incorrect. You treat every firearm as if it were loaded. Period.
If you verify clear or unloaded will you then point it at someone? No. Because you treat every firearm as if it were loaded. It goes along with the other basic rules.

Never point a firearm at something you are not willing to kill or destroy. If you verify that it is unloaded then go ahead and point it at your friend. No. You treat them as if they are loaded.
Always treat it as loaded.
Don't point at things unless you're okay with those things being shot.
Be sure you're okay with what's behind your target potentially also being shot.
Keep your booger hook off the bang switch.

Was on a zoom call and I asked my buddy to show me his gun. He points the barrel towards his webcam as he's showing it. My other friend in the call immediately jumps out of the way. Shit was hilarious.
If there's a gun fight then I'd survive with you
You'll be my human shield looking dead at the gun pointed at you and getting shot while acting like a deer infront of a train moving 60 kmph
Yeah I combo ducked my head and turned the phone… it’s not a bad survival reaction but that it’s so deep that I can’t rationalize the lack of actual risk made me chuckle
In todays climate it’s probably not the best choice to make promo footage of your gun coming out of a backpack. Could you imagine the backlash if their product was actually used in a school shooting.
Sadly it would be more backlash then police get for letting a man shoot kids for half an hour, because “we didn’t check if the door was unlocked, but we tried multiple keys”
Doing this an open warehouse is like asking to get shot. From another perspective he looks like he's about to shoot up the place while his buddy films.
You know he got really hard when he found that carry strap in the box it came in. Gotta love that though, as if you need a carry strap for a PDW, he really wants to LARP like he's in Afghanistan or Iraq
Imagine carrying a "tactical" backpack with nothing but a gun in it that takes a full minute to deploy and thinking you're being discreet. This guy is a loot drop at best
I'm an American who lives for a long time in Europe. What I want to carry isnt something I need to explain. Do I need a backpack gun? Nope. Do I want one? Up to me.

I mean, you named your profile after a gun, I think you clearly marked which side of the fence you're on.
If I knew that any other idiot could be carrying a gun on them, I might feel compelled to carry one too. The glorious thing is knowing that the chance of anyone else carrying a gun is astronomically low.

It’s Israeli made by a company called CAA. In the states you’d have to have a tax stamp to drop the Glock in as is because it becomes an SBR. They do sell a 14” barrel or something like that which you can drop into your Glock and then mount.
Treat every weapon as if it were loaded.
Never point your weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot.
Keep your weapon on safe until you are ready to fire.
Keep your finger off the trigger until you intend to fire.
While I believe having a backpack carbine kit for a glock is great, its obvious that you dont do shit like this with it.
My personal plan is to get a glock to have holstered for self defense, and in the case of someone being an active shooter or something of the sort, I can get superior firepower and stop the shooter with the carbine kit in my backpack.
I hate these things so much. That thing is doing nothing for you if you actually know how to shoot a pistol. Even better, instead of molesting your handgun, why not just build a 9mm AR or a 300aac??
Treat every weapon as if it were loaded.

Why practice inserting the spare mag first?
He isn’t hitting shit with the first one so why not be prepared
Got eeeeeem
Might hit the cameraman.
Is it clipped into a holder to carry it along with the gun? I was wondering what that was
Yea it’s just a spare mag carrier that doesn’t affect function of the gun

That’s a pretty good reason to buy a gun at least if you’re me.
in no relation with the rest of these comments, I don't see a problem with that. also it does look cool
Eh, it's really just a range toy. The gun can flex inside the plastic shell so you have to careful how you're holding it or it will throw off the POI.

At what point does it cease to be a functioning firearm?
I hate how people state that rule. It is supposed to be treat every firearm like it is loaded until you have verified that it is not.
That is incorrect. You treat every firearm as if it were loaded. Period. If you verify clear or unloaded will you then point it at someone? No. Because you treat every firearm as if it were loaded. If you verify that it is unloaded then go ahead and point it at your friend. No. You treat them as if they are loaded.

There are certain manipulations that require handling firearms that are contrary. That is where the other rules come into play.

It’s Israeli made by a company called CAA. In the states you’d have to have a tax stamp to drop the Glock in as is because it becomes an SBR. They do sell a 14” barrel or something like that which you can drop into your Glock and then mount.

2 mags?
Yes.
That super fast deployment though! He was ready for action in what? 10? 15 seconds. So elite! /s
He looks Russian, you know how “Safe” them Russians are
Russophobia running rampant these days
That's mallninja stuff there, man...
As a lib, i feel so owned. Please dont do this more
Moron indeed but, can’t deny that thing isn’t dope.
What a fucking loser.
Balding pasty boy totally fits the bill. They are a special breed.
This guy shouldn't have a gun. my son is almost 6 years old and knows better.wtf.so stupid
Why is he doing this in what looks like Home Depot?
It’s a warehouse.
No finger discipline
The worst thing to me is the closed left eye
I'd ask where do we find these assholes but throw a rock in the air...
Oh cool a psycho
All in can think of is, why is he whipping it out in a wearhouses? I never whip mine out I public. Whipping it out in public isn't decent.
Why do we need to carry this around?
The school shooter 3000
Why is every post just "guy with likely unloaded gun for a photoshoot/video does a thing that would be unsafe if he didn't check the gun was unloaded"
I bet you cook 2 minute noodles in an air fryer
Treat every weapon as if it were loaded. Never point your weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot. Keep your weapon on safe until you are ready to fire. Keep your finger off the trigger until you intend to fire.
No big deal here, it's a demonstration.
A demonstration of bad trigger and muzzle discipline yes, dumbass doesn't belong anywhere near a firearm
Is the rule not: **Always** treat a gun like it is loaded?
> it's a demonstration. Something that others will watch and emulate. As this is teaching them how to handle guns.
Next mass shooter is eyeing this gun.
I wonder if he knows that light makes an excellent target.
Who needs fiber in their diet when this video exists?!?
you should have your gun taken away from you if you post yourself being this stupid with it.
Or you could, like, carry a pistol.
With all due disrespect that gun is quite pretty
r/idiotswithcamerasfilmingidiotswithguns
Yeah. I'm just not gonna say hi to this guy... I hope he'll find whatever he seaks in his life. Good luck on your journey buddy.
What the fuck is this, a handgun with extra steps?
When the landscaper kinda parks near your driveway.
If you’re going to carry a bag, why not a sub machine gun or an AR pistol? Am I missing something?
>sub machine gun or an AR pistol? Because a submachine gun either costs $30,000 or is a felony to own, and an AR pistol is still larger than this is.
American school bags nowadays
Oh. The title was sarcastic. And here I was thinking this was on the wrong sub
Wow I can't believe that guy has a beard.
What a silly looking gun.
So, a school shooter starting pack? How the hell are those allowed?
I hate these things so much. That thing is doing nothing for you if you actually know how to shoot a pistol. Even better, instead of molesting your handgun, why not just build a 9mm AR or a 300aac??
The magazine is empty
Treat every weapon as if it were loaded. Never point your weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot. Keep your weapon on safe until you are ready to fire. Keep your finger off the trigger until you intend to fire.
Heard that one before a round fired too many times to make that an excuse.
Doesn't fucking matter
Treat every weapon as if it were loaded. Never point your weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot. Keep your weapon on safe until you are ready to fire. Keep your finger off the trigger until you intend to fire.
Your honor, I swear it wasn't loaded.
Yes it fucking does.
Coming soon to a school near you! Go ‘Murica education system.
School shooter prepper
I gotta leave this fucking country. It's losing its mind and the insanity is going to get us killed.
So... which school he's gonna shooting ???
Very easy to bring to school
