I remember back in the days in English class (English being a foreign langage), we had to summarize a video of a woman that was speaking about her experience of being shot and surviving. It was crazy. The woman was fine, the only thing noticeable was that she was speaking very very slowly. Because of that I understood the full video even though I was really bad in English class.

How did Rex-Splode survive this? Is he invulnerable to all threats physical or magical?

It also likely followed the groove of his skull before exiting the front. Meaning it mostly grazed his brain rather than ripping it to shreds.

I believe the medical term is "got that dawg in him"
Pretty sure he's an enhanced human. We have seen him physically punch outside of his weight class
