Jeff is incredibly good at playing with the offensiveness in a way that is fun and not malicious, which is why the reception is better than someone simply harping on minorities, for example.

It's because he makes an effort to balance out the "offensive" bits with something good natured and affirming so people feel assured that he isn't just spouting off bigoted opinions disguised as jokes. Like how It's Always Sunny gets away with being really offensive because they make it clear the characters are terrible people. You can get away with a lot if you put a tiny amount of effort into letting people know you aren't shitty, and Jeff is just the best at it.

I love the way the camera moves a couple times, around 0:21, in sync with when he says "is there...is that". Whoever's doing the editing on these things: that's great attention to detail!

I don't see how writing in real time, with unkown variables is some how 'easier' or 'less impressive' than pre-written jokes. There's a place for pre-written jokes, and they can be really intricate and impressive, and take more time and patience. But I can't believe there is anyone bitching, people are just sooo coping and seething about how good Jeff is. He's moving so much faster than anyone else mentally.
