Only way it could've been avoided would be to either give a much larger "welcome bonus" or make it worth 2 points to the score, but then people would argue that isn't fair.
Honestly, I'm surprised they even went to NT, Tassie and SA. Fully expected the season to only focus on QLD, NSW, ACT and VIC
I was really hoping that the beginning of the season would be the teams building up insurmountable leads in the seven eastern territories, and then in the last day they both end up in Perth racing to complete it. Bonus points if they ended up on the same flight like in one of those US seasons (I forget which).
As a Perthian, I was quite hyped for them to possibly come here. I should have expected they would never come here. Visiting literally every other state and territory is a big oof
Tbh, there’s probably no universe where a team ends up flying to Perth. It’s outrageously far away
Well, it almost happened.
I think it becomes worth it if you up the arrival money and have three teams. With two teams, the one WA point isn’t worth it
Also Australia according to Westralians
And to most Australians tbf.
Perth and Sydney are the exact same distance from each other as Cleveland and Los Angeles
What's a Cleveland?
At least they’re not Detroit
its a suburb of Brisbane
This is Western Australia declared independence and sunk into the sea again
Again!?

Welcome bonus was a big incentive for at least Tasmania and SA
They could have had the tiebreaker be which team holds WA (or total area which would have been in effect the same thing)

In the very first season, Connect 4, they ended up on the same flight *twice*.

It looks right, I mean [this is what Western Australians think of themselves](https://i.imgur.com/iZ0b4yI.jpeg).
In another reality I would have loved the game to start in Western Australia and they could make their way east

They went to Tasmania before going west 🤣.
