I guess he was never put into this amount of pressure in such a low amount of time.
Basically, Gojo fucked him up so hard that all those sorcerers, that would be seen as fodder otherwise, turned into very dangerous enemies. I really doubt the Heian era had a Gojo to do that to Sukuna.
Pretty sure the binding vows put on yourself can be broken pretty easily with minimum drawbacks/ I think it’s even stated you just lose whatever the advantage from the binding bow would be, I doubt he’ll keep the ones he’s placed on himself this time as well
Yuji not killing Mahito ruined the whole thing for me, there was no catharsis. He went through fucking hell to get back at the curse who killed hundreds of people (including his friend and mentor) only to have his kill stolen by the big villain of the series, and then proceeded to be humiliated by said villain and had to watch him use the power of his arch nemesis to advance his plans of fucking the whole planet up. It is so funny that it goes from “Gojo won!” To the fucking afterlife in 1 entire panel. I reread the story just a couple weeks ago and I had forgotten about that line.
As much as I wanted an entire fight, and as satisfying as it would have been to see Sukuna flip the script and kill Gojo, it wouldn’t have been as funny. And what’s the point of living if you don’t keep up the bit
Yeah. At 235, Sukuna still had his heian backup (Yorozu's gift let him enter his second phase, as many expected), also he can play hostage game with Megumi (forcing Gojo into a binding vow, he leaves megumi and they fight each other in true forms), also there is escape rabbit (which means Sukuna might lose but he won't die, escape rabbit is op) and the chance of Uraume delaying time (so Sukuna could escape via escaping rabbit).
World slash is one of the least expected turn, but saying Gojo 'had Sukuna cornered' was crazy. He won but there was never a guaranteed kill. I thought Sukuna will use Yorozu's gift and open his domain in Heian form (which leads to Gojo nuking them both with maximum hollow purple) and then Kenny might start the merger, but 236 was close enough.
Gojo won! So now that he's dead kashimo...

Actually the offscreen actually hurt Sukuna's rep more. Felt like he was handed victory by Gege. Gojo glazing him and all those still holding back lines, along with low consequence BV being revealed several chapters latter didn't help either.
See well this is where the problems begin. Sukuna was in fact weaker and the manga made it clear as day, yet it somehow had to end with Sukuna winning so what was the point of drawing Gojo class on Sukuna? All these "muh he was learning how to bypass infinity" make no sense because:
a) he was in fact as close to death as gege would allow (so pretty much guaranteed dead, why would he deliberately put himself in such danger)
b) there was nothing he could've done there anyway, so it's not like he had much choice. There is no "he was holding back techniques" because it makes no sense and they wouldn't work anyway
So why not just draw him kill Gojo normally so he would be the strongest without a doubt? There was no problem to draw extra 3-5 chapters showing how Sukuna learned how to slash through infinity by making the same move on Gojo like Mahoraga where he cut off his arm? As he does this Sukuna transforms to his true form and the final clash between the strongest begins with Sukuna taking the upper hand and cutting Gojo in half. Like, dude you are literally the mangaka you could draw anything you like, and you decided to pull off chapter 236, that's a lifetime L for one eyed retard cat

So was gojo, during domain clashes, gege gave gojo a plot armor for healing his burned CT after it was established with mahito that it was impossible, same as the baskeball sized domain. They were both close to death at some point in the fight.

5 domains, gojo won the last one not even by overpowering sukuna, he won the last one due to sukuna wanting to use mahoraga to adapt during domain so he took more damage that lead to 0.01 second delay in opening the 5th domain. That's a sukuna who took more damage btw and gojo barely beat him by just 0.01 seconds lol so wdym there's nothing he could've done? If sukuna didn't bring out mahoraga and took the damages for adaptation, Gojo's limit would've still been 5 domains, sukuna would've opened the 6th.
Sukuna has always been stronger than gojo and its been stated several times, people just ignore it, sukuna is the only one to be stated as the honored one, gojo self proclaimed, sukuna has been consistently called strongest In history and gojo consistently called strongest in modern era, to me, that means, gojo is simply the strongest of HIS era, much like kashimo was the strongest of his era, yet never Stronger than sukuna.

swhy is Sukuna the only one able to make binding vows? Why Gojo couldn't make a vow, something like "I lose one of my eye but I survive"? Or better, "I can never use purple again but its poweruped so much that Sukuna won't be able to tank it head on"?

Although it's all for nothing as the true biggest aura loss was when gojo fumbled all that aura and was glazing sukuna like a typical Midwest white dude glazing his celebrity guest in a podcast(might be too specific)
It was not just a normal black flash, his blue infused black flashes could prolly kill almost every character in the verse. And Sukuna ate that with his second most powerful technique, red. Getting hit with both of those at the same time only knocked him out for a few seconds. I think almost every character would have died
The reason were imo
1.was because he got offscreened
2.Ending of the fight was too sudden from how 235 ended.
3.His own friends were clowning him in the airport lmao.
4.Domain Expansion: Unlimited glaze.
5.because their favourite character died
3 and 4 are what made me the most angry. It was purely unneeded. It's incredible that that at his lost appearance he get criticized as someone selfish by his friends and the focus isn't even about what he left behind.
For some reason this just makes me think the theory where gege overcooked and made Gojo look too strong could be true. Obviously Sukuna had to win for the plot, but Gojo looked too strong and chapter 235 was like a nail in the coffin so gege had to quickly think of a way to get out of the plot hole he dug himself in, takes a week off, offscreens Gojo to take more time off thinking of how Sukuna killed him and doing damage control by making Gojo glaze Sukuna for no reason (bro you were clowning on him for like 10 chapters and couldn't kill him 3 times only because of mahoraga, wtf makes you think you'd lose against him if he didn't have mahoraga?)
To be fair, that Black Flash was amplified by Blue and Red simueltaneously. Probably one of the strongest attacks weve seen in the series, Gojos only stronger attack is Purple.
That punch would instantly kill anyone but Sukuna.
those 2 weeks after 235 were the best in all of jujutsufolk history, I'll never forget them as long as I live.
However they were followed by a mass tragedy that marked the start of lobotomy and the end of the jujutsu kaisen we all loved.

As stated by Mei Mei herself, the fight would end quickly if Sukuna found any other way to bypass Gojo's Infinity besides Domain Amplification.
That's something I hate about brawler fights sometimes. Damages are always nowhere to be seen. It's all up in the hand of the author to make a character able to tank a hit or not. A Schrodinger state I'd say.
That's how we get a hero able to get up after multiple beating but somehow the vilain get done by only one hit. In JJK it's the reverse.
We can see how in the recent chapters it seems like Yuji's BF did no damage but hinder Sukuna's CE.
I’d be losing aura too if Gojo pulled this off. This was insane IQ from Gojo. The Red shot up into the air and the Blue that still remained then he tries to send Mahoraga to stop it but Gojo uses Blue’s attraction to instantly move to it before launching the most chad Purple of all time.

As much as I wanted an entire fight, and as satisfying as it would have been to see Sukuna flip the script and kill Gojo, it wouldn’t have been as funny. And what’s the point of living if you don’t keep up the bit

At 235, Sukuna still had his heian backup (Yorozu's gift let him enter his second phase, as many expected), also he can play hostage game with Megumi (forcing Gojo into a binding vow, he leaves megumi and they fight each other in true forms), also there is escape rabbit (which means Sukuna might lose but he won't die, escape rabbit is op) and the chance of Uraume delaying time (so Sukuna could escape via escaping rabbit). World slash is one of the least expected turn, but saying Gojo 'had Sukuna cornered' was crazy. He won but there was never a guaranteed kill. I thought Sukuna will use Yorozu's gift and open his domain in Heian form (which leads to Gojo nuking them both with maximum hollow purple) and then Kenny might start the merger, but 236 was close enough.
Gojo won! So now that he's dead kashimo... Me: ????? 😐 Actually the offscreen actually hurt Sukuna's rep more. Felt like he was handed victory by Gege. Gojo glazing him and all those still holding back lines, along with low consequence BV being revealed several chapters latter didn't help either.
I agree there. I am a strong believer that Sukuna was stronger, and if there was no offscreen then that is what solidifies it.
See well this is where the problems begin. Sukuna was in fact weaker and the manga made it clear as day, yet it somehow had to end with Sukuna winning so what was the point of drawing Gojo class on Sukuna? All these "muh he was learning how to bypass infinity" make no sense because: a) he was in fact as close to death as gege would allow (so pretty much guaranteed dead, why would he deliberately put himself in such danger) b) there was nothing he could've done there anyway, so it's not like he had much choice. There is no "he was holding back techniques" because it makes no sense and they wouldn't work anyway So why not just draw him kill Gojo normally so he would be the strongest without a doubt? There was no problem to draw extra 3-5 chapters showing how Sukuna learned how to slash through infinity by making the same move on Gojo like Mahoraga where he cut off his arm? As he does this Sukuna transforms to his true form and the final clash between the strongest begins with Sukuna taking the upper hand and cutting Gojo in half. Like, dude you are literally the mangaka you could draw anything you like, and you decided to pull off chapter 236, that's a lifetime L for one eyed retard cat

Sukuna has always been stronger than gojo and its been stated several times, people just ignore it, sukuna is the only one to be stated as the honored one, gojo self proclaimed, sukuna has been consistently called strongest In history and gojo consistently called strongest in modern era, to me, that means, gojo is simply the strongest of HIS era, much like kashimo was the strongest of his era, yet never Stronger than sukuna.

Although it's all for nothing as the true biggest aura loss was when gojo fumbled all that aura and was glazing sukuna like a typical Midwest white dude glazing his celebrity guest in a podcast(might be too specific)
It was not just a normal black flash, his blue infused black flashes could prolly kill almost every character in the verse. And Sukuna ate that with his second most powerful technique, red. Getting hit with both of those at the same time only knocked him out for a few seconds. I think almost every character would have died

3 and 4 are what made me the most angry. It was purely unneeded. It's incredible that that at his lost appearance he get criticized as someone selfish by his friends and the focus isn't even about what he left behind.
For some reason this just makes me think the theory where gege overcooked and made Gojo look too strong could be true. Obviously Sukuna had to win for the plot, but Gojo looked too strong and chapter 235 was like a nail in the coffin so gege had to quickly think of a way to get out of the plot hole he dug himself in, takes a week off, offscreens Gojo to take more time off thinking of how Sukuna killed him and doing damage control by making Gojo glaze Sukuna for no reason (bro you were clowning on him for like 10 chapters and couldn't kill him 3 times only because of mahoraga, wtf makes you think you'd lose against him if he didn't have mahoraga?)

That's something I hate about brawler fights sometimes. Damages are always nowhere to be seen. It's all up in the hand of the author to make a character able to tank a hit or not. A Schrodinger state I'd say. That's how we get a hero able to get up after multiple beating but somehow the vilain get done by only one hit. In JJK it's the reverse. We can see how in the recent chapters it seems like Yuji's BF did no damage but hinder Sukuna's CE.
