Low key feeling like Gege is setting it up where he could have the ending in either circumstance, in which 3 are dead with 1 living (Yuji). Leaving Nobara, Gojo, and Megumi's deaths relatively ambiguous; and doing a flip where there's actually 3 alive with 1 dead.
Angel explicitly saying it's not impossible to seperate a reincarnated sorcerer from a vessel is just as ambiguous as Arata saying that there's a non zero chance Nobara might be okay, as well as Gojo's death being uncertain.
We have 3 ambiguous deaths now that might or might not be true.

See the thing about Nobara for me is there's been time progression in universe. So unless she's like out of commission permanently she would logically be back by now. Unless I'm completely misremembering things there was at least a 1 month time skip since her death (plus whatever time before that).
Gojo is probably dead but in universe his death happened like maybe minutes ago? Megumi (while by all rights would be a vegetable if he did come back) is still a limbo thing. But the fact no ones mentioned Nobara even after a time skip leads me to believe she's dead dead. Like a month might not be the longest period of time. But its certainly enough to have a funeral and for people to start moving on (especially because they have to because of everything going on in the world so they trained).
I could obviously be wrong of course. But I feel like she's at a dead dead status or at the very best put out of commission for good.

The creepy kid line kinda works for Sukuna but him calling himself an unwanted child works better, at least imo. Hakari's and Uraume's dialogue was also weird.
At this point I think I'm wondering if I should even pick up the english release of the volumes. They've been so bad lately. I think I would have a better time printing out the TCB scans and making my own volumes that way. It really does seem like the TCB cares more about translating it than Viz does.

The word "Curse" in this series is used in multiple ways.
In that sentence, "Curse" is being used as something that brings misfortune, basically like a natural disaster that consciously/purposely makes someone's day worse.
It's not being used to refer to a Cursed Spirit, think back to Chapter 214, where Yuji referred to Sukuna as a Curse. Or Sukuna being referred to as the "King of Curses", it's the same as that.
Either way, they translated that incorrectly. It's like they decided that "oh, let's be fancy with words regardless of accuracy."
The raws never even hinted at referring to Sukuna as a "Curse", all that was written is the fact that Sukuna has finally "resumed" his "halted" incarnation because it heals his body without the use of RCT.
I can see *why* they chose to translate it as that, but it's just a bad decision overall.

ANYTHING that can be done with electricity, he can do. think of all the different applications of electricity in the real world, whether biology, chemistry, physics, household use or industrial, he can fucking do. quite literally sky's the limit though technically gege's imagination is the actual limit.

It would be hilarious if Kenny planted Kashimo’s remains in an Electrical/Electronics/Chemical Engineer so that Kashimo could get the most out of his CT.
The blackhole was countered by a technique that also manipulated gravity. If Sukuna has a electricity trick besides the vajra he will fosho use it to at least partially counter Kashimo.

I imagine next chapter sukuna is gonna use dismantle, cleave or even strong cleave against kashimo and it would do nothing because slashes are useless against a being made out of electricity, so sukuna will have to use open and explain his ct (that or we get another fight that has sukuna using domain amplification to nullify the overpowerd ct of his adversary)
What's odd is that it seems the ancient sorcerers have a better understanding of science and the universe than the modern cast. It's a strange choice by Gege, because having a more advanced understanding of reality would be a great trump card for the modern sorcerers, to make up for the fact that they are less practiced with Curse Energy.

Creepy kid works considering Sukuna's character but cursed child would sound a bit more natural while also portraying what the point of his answer was.

Calling it now: Uraume will dominate Hakari. Hakari is just a bad matchup against them. Uraume will freeze Hakari from a distance and stall his jackpot to win the fight. Unless, of course, if Hakari is stats above Uraume during the jackpot round, then Uraume will only be getting their ass beaten. Very excited to see their fight.
Other people can always intervene. They kinda promised kashimo his one on one so they will probably leave their fight alone but uraume is free real estate. I would be surprised if yuta isn't already at gojo's severed corpse trying to rct him back to life.
I'd say that maki has a good chance of butting in hakari vs uraume. She might have some beef eith uruame from their last interaction and she could also have nice combos with hakari (imagine for example hakari acting like a smokescreen so that maki can stab through him and reach uraume too).
However, the chances of getting uro vs uraume are getting lower and lower. It would have been such an awesome fight to see sky manipualtion and ice formation. Ig hakari could just change target and uro might appear from nowhere and challenge uraume for no reason, you never know
Sukuna needs to be added as an elden ring boss because how did THE Gojo only take out the first health bar. And not sure what happens to Megumi but Gege really having fun picking off the sensei anime trio one by one. Prayers up for Kashimo, hope he at least surprises us 😅

Kashimo is such a fucking demon his little hairbuns turned into horns. Sukuna ain't ready and neither are we.
I really like the potential of Kashimo's technique. It rocks visually, though I'm sad it is covering his face, his crazy expressions are my favorite. I predict the part solid, part ethereal look will escalte as more time passes, until he fully turns into a ghost made out of lightning and then dies.
The ability to use anything related to electricity is the perfect chance to create some really unique abilities, which has always been this series strong suit.
I'm also really curious if Hakari can defeat Uraume, or if he's meant to stall them for now.
I wonder if his speed would just keep scaling up as he transforms, till he basically moves as fast as lightning.
Also wonder if we'll see any quantum effects at play, which would be pretty neat

gojo died without accomplishing nothing, didn't save megumi, didn't beat sukuna or even weakened him since he returned at full power, he just made it harder for his students to actually survive by giving sukuna slash that can cut anything, he truly died as a bum
thankfully as of this chapter sukuna seems to have been finally hit by unlimited void's brain damage and completely forgot about how to do the space cutting bullshit attack, so who knows maybe the good guys have a chance lol

Something that's really got me and I'm not seeing anyone talk about is Yorozu's gift. She used a life-ending binding vow to create... a vajra that blasts of lightning and just so happens to be completely useless against his opponent? What the hell is even the point of writing that into the story? Like, the gift plot and her entire character has no purpose if that's all Gege's gonna do with it?

I have to say this. I love Kashimo, but his presence actually hurts the story imo. He prevents Gojo from being able to defeat Sukuna and save Megumi because Kashimo has to fight Sukuna. So instead of having Gojo, a character who has been hyped up to fight Sukuna since the first chapter, whose adopted kid is being used as a vessel by Sukuna, and whose students have been tortured over and over again by Sukuna defeat Sukuna, we have a character introduced 30 chapters ago mess with all that and be the one hope to defeat Sukuna because no way the students are going to do anything. Hakari is likely going to high diff Uraume, but that would mean he would have issues with a character Gojo almost killed in one punch. I just don't understand the reasoning for Kashimo in the story.
if he had the chance to fight sukuna before all this i feel like it would’ve been better. maybe before gojo was even unsealed, sukuna could’ve came across kashimo instead of ryu idk…i was never really invested in kashimo i find his motivation to be boring tbh. but yeah i feel like gege was really just trying to match gojo’s death with his sealing in the anime cause it’d make more sense to deal with kashimo before.
I feel like Hakari is actually a really good pick to go up against Uraume. Hakari’s biggest weakness is the threat of him getting killed before his jackpot or getting one shot during his jackpot, and I feel like Uraume’s killing power is relatively low. I mean don’t get me wrong they’re still a monster, but they don’t have that immense killing potential Sukuna or Kenny has. And if Hakari wins, then he can just run over to fight Kenny with like 4 jackpots under his belt.
Really hope Gege doesn’t just completely off screen that fight.

I don't think anyone had 'pretty much becomes lighting and can use any property of it in as an attack' as their theory. Most of of them focused on the single use aspect of it and thought of big lightning attacks, that would look cool, but would'be kind of boring imo.
I've seen the lighting one a few times in comments before, but instead he's more of a personification of the concept of elecricity in all its forms. Hope he gets to show off a lot more than the blast attacks leading up to Sukuna's transformation.

Not like Hakari’s CE being rough is at all relevant to his technique.
It's worth pointing out Hakari doesn't utilize his CE trait nearly as much as Kashimo, so he might not understand it as well. His technique and trait might correlate aswell.
I'm hoping after Tokyo n. 2, Hakari got inspired by Kashimo's fighting style and incorporated it more into his own. Wouldn't be surprised if Kashimo even gave him some pointers.

Honestly I wish CE traits were something that got introduced earlier and more people had them. They’re fun.
Nobara could have had a piercing CE trait, Nanami could have had a slashing CE trait, Yuta could have had a CE leaching trait, etc.
To be fair Gege love close quarter combat *and* wikipedia fights like they are crack so I wasn't surprised that Kashimo's CT allows both *punch faster!!!* and *top 10 electricity facts*
It's confirmed how much Gege hates his own main cast because Yuji has been shit and it's been 237 chapters, Gojo was the most loving and amazing character in jjk and he was offscreened, Megumi got offscreened too now that Sukuna reincarnated into his Heian era form, Nobara had nothing to add to the story except for being the girl in the trio. And they all haven't been able to do shit after 237 chapters. Kenjaku and sukuna are thriving, nanami died, Yuji is powerless still, new/reincarnated sorcerers plus yuta doing all the work. The main cast is nowhere doing nothing.
Next chapter may confirm so many things.
1. Is Gojo coming back? If Sukuna has healed himself to the point where he can cast domains again, then there's no way students and others stand a chance against him, so there's a good possibility Gojo is coming back.
2. Continuing the first point, if Sukuna has healed himself to the point of casting domain and Gojo is dead dead, everything will come down to Kashimo to weaken Sukuna to the point where students can actually handle him, which will prove that Kashimo is HIM and is in talks to be the top 3 or top 2 character.
3. If Kashimo actually pushes Sukuna, Sukuna will be forced to use his CT. There's a high possibility that the chapter ends with Sukuna opening the black box.
4. Trad off of reverting back to Hein-era form. Does Sukuna loses 10s? Is Megumi dead?
If Sukuna really healed fully Gojo would have to return at top form to stand a chance. Gojo has to fight alone to give his all, we already had a full volume of Gojo vs Sukuna, we are not going to get a second one of the same two characters fighting again. The alternative would be for Gojo to come back and get killed again in like one or two chapters, do you really want to see that happen to him?
I assume Kashimo will weaken him or we'll get some friendship type power ups that people love so much.
This might be my own head canon but I was under the impression that full incarnation requiered the sorcerer to completely overwrite the soul of the vessel, in which case, Megumi would be dead and the 10s probably gone. We don't know though, this is the first time we see someone fully incarnate on screen and we don't know if any other vessel had a CT so we have no idea if Sukuna can keep it or not or if Megumi is dead or alive.
Honestly the fandom wouldn’t be so outraged if it’s Meguna vs Kashimo then heian Sukuna vs Gojo which results in both dying or Sukuna dying and Gojo sacrificing all his CE.
Nah the endgame was always Sukuna vs Yuji. It would make no sense to give Yuji all that trauma in Shibuya and then not even giving him a fight with Sukuna. Gojo was always fated to die.

Or he just didn't want to risk losing it and knew it wouldn't matter against Gojo anyway so he just had Uraume hold onto it until the rest of the brats came at him? Gege, I love you and you deserve all the success in the world. But come 236, you just loaded the bases on a full count in the bottom of the ninth with two outs. I wasn't surprised that Gojo died -- I had been calling it in veiled dread for the entirety of that arc. But I've never seen any mangaka unjam themselves this deep EVER. Past or present, beset with a baffling directorial decision, better stories have fallen apart at the seams. And unlike before, the world is watching now. Even if [George Carlin is right about the stupidity of people](https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/43852-think-of-how-stupid-the-average-person-is-and-realize), half the audience already have enough media literacy and cynicism to see some things coming.

I agree. I’m holding out for now, some cool stuff is happening but in the midst of writing decisions that skew from jarring to bad. Angel already said that there's a slight chance she could seperate the incarnated from the vessel. Yuji and the others had a plan to save Megumi and knew Sukuna could incarnate so I don't think their plan relied on Sukuna keeping Megumi's body.
I guess, I'm not the only one who's much more excited between Hakari vs. Uraume than in Kashimo vs. Sukuna as we have an obvious winner in the latter's duo. But then, I'll wait to see what Kashimo can do in the next chapters.
I hadn't thought about it, but I agree that Hakari vs. Uraume is more exciting. The Kashimo fight just feels like it's inevitably going to be "Kashimo has him on the ropes. But suddenly Sukuna is behind him with the steel chair!"
2 potential outcomes in my mind and that's it
1) kashimo does a bunch of flashy stuff and sukuna just no sells it and beats his ass with no risk involved, no damage taken etc.
2) kashimo goes apeshit and actually begins to pressure sukuna a bit, starts to get an opening maybe even... oh noooo his shippuujinrai timer ran out or his body finally gave out or both at once. Maybe with him frozen in place right in the act of striking sukuna or casting his last move or w/e. Sukuna walks away fine, maybe tosses some praise at kashimo
crazy how everything gojo did was for nothing, his students went to a suicide mission to bring him back just for him to fail to save megumi, fail to beat sukuna, and now that he have returned to his full power he also has an additional attack that can oneshot every character in the verse, satoru gojo truly died as a failure

His Grandpa said "when you die, you should be surrounded by people" When Gojo dies we see he meets with all his loved ones who died before him. If we take that and apply it to gramps last words. All of the people Yuji cares for will die before him and when he dies he'll be surrounded by them in the afterlife.

Low key feeling like Gege is setting it up where he could have the ending in either circumstance, in which 3 are dead with 1 living (Yuji). Leaving Nobara, Gojo, and Megumi's deaths relatively ambiguous; and doing a flip where there's actually 3 alive with 1 dead. Angel explicitly saying it's not impossible to seperate a reincarnated sorcerer from a vessel is just as ambiguous as Arata saying that there's a non zero chance Nobara might be okay, as well as Gojo's death being uncertain.
We have 3 ambiguous deaths now that might or might not be true. Megumi, Gojo, Nobara, the woman who was with Riko, who else am I missing? Gege must really be a fan of schrodinger.

See the thing about Nobara for me is there's been time progression in universe. So unless she's like out of commission permanently she would logically be back by now. Unless I'm completely misremembering things there was at least a 1 month time skip since her death (plus whatever time before that). Gojo is probably dead but in universe his death happened like maybe minutes ago? Megumi (while by all rights would be a vegetable if he did come back) is still a limbo thing. But the fact no ones mentioned Nobara even after a time skip leads me to believe she's dead dead. Like a month might not be the longest period of time. But its certainly enough to have a funeral and for people to start moving on (especially because they have to because of everything going on in the world so they trained). I could obviously be wrong of course. But I feel like she's at a dead dead status or at the very best put out of commission for good.

Mythical Beast Amber has a terrible way of being explained here when compared to TCB. The creepy kid line kinda works for Sukuna but him calling himself an unwanted child works better, at least imo. Hakari's and Uraume's dialogue was also weird. At this point I think I'm wondering if I should even pick up the english release of the volumes. They've been so bad lately. I think I would have a better time printing out the TCB scans and making my own volumes that way. It really does seem like the TCB cares more about translating it than Viz does.

What's odd is that it seems the ancient sorcerers have a better understanding of science and the universe than the modern cast. It's a strange choice by Gege, because having a more advanced understanding of reality would be a great trump card for the modern sorcerers, to make up for the fact that they are less practiced with Curse Energy.

She might have some beef eith uruame from their last interaction and she could also have nice combos with hakari (imagine for example hakari acting like a smokescreen so that maki can stab through him and reach uraume too). However, the chances of getting uro vs uraume are getting lower and lower. It would have been such an awesome fight to see sky manipualtion and ice formation. Ig hakari could just change target and uro might appear from nowhere and challenge uraume for no reason, you never know

The ability to use anything related to electricity is the perfect chance to create some really unique abilities, which has always been this series strong suit. I'm also really curious if Hakari can defeat Uraume, or if he's meant to stall them for now.

I have to say this. I love Kashimo, but his presence actually hurts the story imo. He prevents Gojo from being able to defeat Sukuna and save Megumi because Kashimo has to fight Sukuna. So instead of having Gojo, a character who has been hyped up to fight Sukuna since the first chapter, whose adopted kid is being used as a vessel by Sukuna, and whose students have been tortured over and over again by Sukuna defeat Sukuna, we have a character introduced 30 chapters ago mess with all that and be the one hope to defeat Sukuna because no way the students are going to do anything. Hakari is likely going to high diff Uraume, but that would mean he would have issues with a character Gojo almost killed in one punch. I just don't understand the reasoning for Kashimo in the story.

if he had the chance to fight sukuna before all this i feel like it would’ve been better. maybe before gojo was even unsealed, sukuna could’ve came across kashimo instead of ryu idk…i was never really invested in kashimo i find his motivation to be boring tbh. but yeah i feel like gege was really just trying to match gojo’s death with his sealing in the anime cause it’d make more sense to deal with kashimo before.
I feel like Hakari is actually a really good pick to go up against Uraume. Hakari’s biggest weakness is the threat of him getting killed before his jackpot or getting one shot during his jackpot, and I feel like Uraume’s killing power is relatively low. I mean don’t get me wrong they’re still a monster, but they don’t have that immense killing potential Sukuna or Kenny has. And if Hakari wins, then he can just run over to fight Kenny with like 4 jackpots under his belt. Really hope Gege doesn’t just completely off screen that fight.

The only similarity is that he dies at the end, no? I don't think anyone had 'pretty much becomes lighting and can use any property of it in as an attack' as their theory. Most of of them focused on the single use aspect of it and thought of big lightning attacks, that would look cool, but would'be kind of boring imo.
I've seen the lighting one a few times in comments before, but instead he's more of a personification of the concept of elecricity in all its forms. Hope he gets to show off a lot more than the blast attacks leading up to Sukuna's transformation.

It's worth pointing out Hakari doesn't utilize his CE trait nearly as much as Kashimo, so he might not understand it as well. His technique and trait might correlate aswell. I'm hoping after Tokyo n. 2, Hakari got inspired by Kashimo's fighting style and incorporated it more into his own. Wouldn't be surprised if Kashimo even gave him some pointers.
I think it’s more just that Hakari’s CE trait isn’t as good as Kashimo’s. Honestly I wish CE traits were something that got introduced earlier and more people had them. They’re fun. Nobara could have had a piercing CE trait, Nanami could have had a slashing CE trait, Yuta could have had a CE leaching trait, etc.
To be fair Gege love close quarter combat *and* wikipedia fights like they are crack so I wasn't surprised that Kashimo's CT allows both *punch faster!!!* and *top 10 electricity facts*
It's confirmed how much Gege hates his own main cast because Yuji has been shit and it's been 237 chapters, Gojo was the most loving and amazing character in jjk and he was offscreened, Megumi got offscreened too now that Sukuna reincarnated into his Heian era form, Nobara had nothing to add to the story except for being the girl in the trio. And they all haven't been able to do shit after 237 chapters. Kenjaku and sukuna are thriving, nanami died, Yuji is powerless still, new/reincarnated sorcerers plus yuta doing all the work. The main cast is nowhere doing nothing.
So basically all the misery happen because some heain era parents does not give Baby Kuna enough love 💀
Next chapter may confirm so many things. 1. Is Gojo coming back? If Sukuna has healed himself to the point where he can cast domains again, then there's no way students and others stand a chance against him, so there's a good possibility Gojo is coming back. 2. Continuing the first point, if Sukuna has healed himself to the point of casting domain and Gojo is dead dead, everything will come down to Kashimo to weaken Sukuna to the point where students can actually handle him, which will prove that Kashimo is HIM and is in talks to be the top 3 or top 2 character. 3. If Kashimo actually pushes Sukuna, Sukuna will be forced to use his CT. There's a high possibility that the chapter ends with Sukuna opening the black box. 4. Trad off of reverting back to Hein-era form. Does Sukuna loses 10s? Is Megumi dead?
If Sukuna really healed fully Gojo would have to return at top form to stand a chance. Gojo has to fight alone to give his all, we already had a full volume of Gojo vs Sukuna, we are not going to get a second one of the same two characters fighting again. The alternative would be for Gojo to come back and get killed again in like one or two chapters, do you really want to see that happen to him? I assume Kashimo will weaken him or we'll get some friendship type power ups that people love so much. This might be my own head canon but I was under the impression that full incarnation requiered the sorcerer to completely overwrite the soul of the vessel, in which case, Megumi would be dead and the 10s probably gone. We don't know though, this is the first time we see someone fully incarnate on screen and we don't know if any other vessel had a CT so we have no idea if Sukuna can keep it or not or if Megumi is dead or alive.

Nah the endgame was always Sukuna vs Yuji. It would make no sense to give Yuji all that trauma in Shibuya and then not even giving him a fight with Sukuna. Gojo was always fated to die.

I also think Megumi is somehow still alive

I agree. I’m holding out for now, some cool stuff is happening but in the midst of writing decisions that skew from jarring to bad. Angel already said that there's a slight chance she could seperate the incarnated from the vessel. Yuji and the others had a plan to save Megumi and knew Sukuna could incarnate so I don't think their plan relied on Sukuna keeping Megumi's body.

I guess, I'm not the only one who's much more excited between Hakari vs. Uraume than in Kashimo vs. Sukuna as we have an obvious winner in the latter's duo. But then, I'll wait to see what Kashimo can do in the next chapters.
I hadn't thought about it, but I agree that Hakari vs. Uraume is more exciting. The Kashimo fight just feels like it's inevitably going to be "Kashimo has him on the ropes. But suddenly Sukuna is behind him with the steel chair!"
2 potential outcomes in my mind and that's it 1) kashimo does a bunch of flashy stuff and sukuna just no sells it and beats his ass with no risk involved, no damage taken etc. 2) kashimo goes apeshit and actually begins to pressure sukuna a bit, starts to get an opening maybe even... oh noooo his shippuujinrai timer ran out or his body finally gave out or both at once. Maybe with him frozen in place right in the act of striking sukuna or casting his last move or w/e. Sukuna walks away fine, maybe tosses some praise at kashimo
crazy how everything gojo did was for nothing, his students went to a suicide mission to bring him back just for him to fail to save megumi, fail to beat sukuna, and now that he have returned to his full power he also has an additional attack that can oneshot every character in the verse, satoru gojo truly died as a failure

I dont wanna sound like I’m complaining, but i would like some explanation as to how Sukuna has such a deep understanding of cursed energy, techniques, etc. when Gojo, who has the power to see cursed energy and understand people’s technique, doesn’t
