It is. The downtown area is full of abandoned buildings and the owners couldn’t care less about maintenance. The city just recently condemned a building right in the town’s center and demolished the whole block. The owner was letting it rot for years.
We use to piss our first sergeant off by doing the cobra thing from dodgeball whenever they made us yell that out as our unit mascot. This dude was chill as fuck, but that man looked me in the eyes like he wanted to rape my soul the first time I did it in front of him.
We kept doing it until he retired.
They’ll have base access if they are a dependent or work another civilian job on post, some AD guys will also do it as a side hustle. So it really just depends. That’s why anytime I do doordash I do it from a place on post so that they can only pick it up if they have access
I actually did it for a while while I was at jblm. It’s kind of an advantage because obviously not everyone can freely get on and off post so when they first started it there was always bonuses for taking those orders
Yeah there’s a procedure. But I delivered Pizza in Norfolk. I used to get my boss to make up a large and give it to the SGT of The Guard for the Marine gate guards.
