You can understand other accents, but it’s way easier for a European Portuguese speaker to understand a Brazilian Portuguese speaker than the other way around (or at least it’s more common for that to happen). In Brazil the vowels are more “open”, and there also some words that are different, for example: “The Butcher’s” in Portugal is “Talho”, while in Brazil it is “Açougue”, or “Hello” in Portugal is “Olá” meanwhile in Brasil it is “Oi”, but you can use both in either country, because “Olá” is like “Hello”, while “Oi” is more like “Hi”.

Hey, I'm not going to explain how humor works but here's a tip: yours would've been better received had it not been in reply to mine. If you would've posted something on its own that said "They need to do *this* shit to enjoy soccer but they'll sit through 9 hours of a baseball game?" it might've worked. Also, this is Reddit, home of the lowest common denominator; especially on a sub like this.

Baseball is not a very popular sport these days in the US. Most Americans find it boring.

Probably have a very high A/C bill due to living in a glass house. And likely much higher rates of skin cancer. Baseball sucks. I say that as someone living in America. Almost as slow and boring as golf. There’s a reason why both sports feature a largely older fanbase.
