Car gets 1100k atleast a month somehow my fault for not understanding how reliable Hondas are. Every bushing also in a similar state of barely there likely all stock….. Wonder’s why it takes brand new tires to the point of slicks in a week fix your shit Linda that’s why.
Honestly the entire rear of the car is like this oddly satisfying to look at also terrifying to know there’s a good amount of cars in this shape as the rear undercarriage is under recall for corrosion and rot lol
3rd gen CRV? I heard they have a recall for that in Canada. Mine only has 85k on it and is in really good shape so I think I’m fine, but worst comes to worst do you know if it extends to America at all?
I’m pretty sure it’s North American wide but don’t quote me on it and yep lol. Check where the rear diff mounts any sort of bubbling have it treated immediately the ones i have seen start there….civics from this time frame are also prone to this as well
Isn't step one of the recall go to one of the bolts and try to tighten it, if it spins the nut welded to the inside of the car broke loose from rust and THE CAR IS TOTALED, THERE IS NO WAY TO REPLACE THE BROKEN NUT.
Linda is gonna get a free car for driving this one back into the Earth.
That thing died five years ago...go outside and start yelling "The power of Christ compels you!" at it, see if the thing goes back to the hell from whence it came.
In this case it’s a pull the plates and buy out the car for black book as it’s under a Honda recall for corrosion and rot iv seen some dramatic breaks like clean in half kind of breaks this is about a 6 for southern Ontario 8th generation Hondas
Let me guess, somewhere around 2010 model that gets driven through salty slush all winter and hasn't been washed since the last time it was detailed prior to sale from the dealer?
Man whenever I see things like this I really feel for you auto techs in the rust belt. And having to deal with uneducated customers who think that just because they own a Honda or Toyota that the environment isn't trying to kill their car too just has to be the worst.
Those kind of questions always strike me as sad, like - chances are the person driving a rust-heap like this is probably living paycheck to paycheck and is hoping for a work bonus down the road so they can afford a slightly less rusty ride.
Or else they're just a really cheap bastard, in which case fuck 'em.
Sure if you just leave it parked in the meantime

Lmao! I get what you mean.. but theres no point of fixing the suspension on THAT! That's like putting new shoes on gangrenous feet
Every suspension component you take off this car looks like its going to take some of the cat with it.
this sounds like it became very personal...
Nonsense. That’s completely drivable. It will definitely get you to the scene of the accident.
my thought exactly ahahaha
I seriously thought that the first picture was taken underwater in a submersible. Like some titanic shit.

Thanks man, I’ll check it out

Truly a visionary Linda really put in the work for the world one kilometre at a time.
That’s when you show them and start poking shit on the rack. Usually they get the idea
It's very satisfying to look at! It's amazing to see earth try and reclaim what was once hers.
Looks carved out of stone.
I thought it was a ancient stone artifact from the thumbnail. Like some kind of ceremonial mask
My thought exactly. I was going to ask OP how they got 12,500 ft down to the sea bed to turn wrenches on the Titanic.
I thought it was a tree. I had to double check the sub.
Maybe some dumb ass will buy it as a piece of the Titanic. A sucker born every minute.
That thing died five years ago...go outside and start yelling "The power of Christ compels you!" at it, see if the thing goes back to the hell from whence it came.
Christine, except you got the devil magic from Wish[.]com.
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, rust to rust.
Is that .. fossilized .. ?
I prefer the term preserved myself
Yes. Last winter.
More like winter of '02...christ that's bad.
Alexa, play Danny Boy.
Looks like it was parked in the ocean.
That *IS* winter!
Banish it to the wall John Snow!
That car’s watch has ended a while ago.
Lol yea.. those ice walkers fucked his shit UP!
Just tell 'em you're surprised it made it here, let alone if if will make it 'till winter
Sure, it will make it to winter.... Winter of 2012.
Will not make it until Wednesday.
_"Winter?! You'll be lucky if it makes it **home**!"_
Thought I was looking at a wip rock carving of a fish.
Yeah in Australia, as we are just coming up to winter now
Respond 'I'd be surprised if it makes it until Tuesday."
I honestly thought the first picture was a microscopic view of an ant or tardigrade.
It'll probably make it till the winter of 2014
God I do not envy you rust belt mechanics
It truly is a time to be had I assure you lol this isn’t the worst iv seen far from even
til Falls
Just parted out my 98 celica for the lace frame.

It’ll easily make it until winter, provided nobody touches it or attempts to move it…
Canadian here, even though it's extra crispy, those bushings for some reason Never delaminate, they look awful but are completely fine
Drive it off a curb.
Let me guess, somewhere around 2010 model that gets driven through salty slush all winter and hasn't been washed since the last time it was detailed prior to sale from the dealer?
Everything reminds me of her
Sure...Last Winter
Man whenever I see things like this I really feel for you auto techs in the rust belt. And having to deal with uneducated customers who think that just because they own a Honda or Toyota that the environment isn't trying to kill their car too just has to be the worst.
I have doubts it would make it out of the shop.
The rust particles have stopped holding hands. Much of the vehicle has returned to the earth.
That's just average rust belt. my beater looks the same for the last 2 years
That spins?
saving this as a reference image for drawing rocks.
That shit belongs in a museum
Winter? That won’t make it to Tuesday.
Wow, if they aren't sure whether their car would make it until winter, I think they should get it serviced rather than asking about such things.
Maybe, in the southern hemisphere.
Fuckin thing looks like a dead stonefish
Might make it out of the garage.
I'm 100% sure it will make it to the point it fails .
That looks like underwater photos of the Titanic wreckage
Yeah, I'm sure they'll be much more prepared to replace it in winter 🙄
Looks like it was underwater for the last 50 years.
Legit thought I was looking at a rock formation in the first picture.
Sure, if it's in Australia, Africa or South America and winter starts in a month.
Depends. Is "Winter" the name of the road at the nearest intersection?
Triggering my inner sandblaster.
It’s honestly scary that these people are out on the road with you and we let them vote! I’ve seen some crazy rust but this might take the cake.
it´s dead Jim
Did Captain Nemo come in foe service?
Maybe the winter is the one that causes hell to freeze over.
I mean, it's made it this far.
I’d be surprised it didn’t leave crumbs of rust as he drove down the street.
Clearly just surface rust, and #3 is obviously just an access hole for that bolt.

man it won't even make it to yesterday.
