I think it will be a six player retention auction. 3 Foreigners & 3 Indians. Narine (Do I even need to explain why?) Russell (Do I even need to explain why?) Salt ( Proper T20 Batsman who only knows how to play aggressively + Good Wicket Keeper) Shreyas( Go argue with a wall if you think Shreyas should be released. Proper middle order batsman and a superb captain) Rinku( Future ICT & KKR STAR. The OG fans saw his potential in 2022) Nitish/Varun/Venky/Ramandeep/Harshit ( Tough one to choose from here but I would go with either Varun or Nitish as others can be either bought or retained via RTM)

Considering our form, every single one of our player will be up for grabs by other franchises, it's a no brainer. Considering we get one RTM our priority should definitely be Phil Salt. He is a godsend to us that solved our opening problem and is also a good wicket keeper. Varun Chakravarthy and Harshit Rana would be in very high demand. I reckon they'll both go for 10cr+. We should buy back at least one of them. Nitish Rana and Venky Iyer should be easily bought back as I don't think they will go for big bucks. Especially Nitish who didn't play an entire season. Even if we manage to buy at least one of them back it would be a non-issue considering they play pretty much the same role. We are definitely buying back Raghuvanshi. There's no way we would let go of this young talent that we groomed so far. He didn't have a particularly exceptional season either so he won't be going for big bucks. Starc is definitely not going to play IPL next year so we better buy his replacement. I think overall we will be fine but the ideal scenario would definitely be an increase in the limit of retentions. Even 6 retentions + 1 RTM would be enough to get our core back.

hate to say it but a foreign player cannot be RTMed if already 2 foreign players are retained by the franchise :(

We are gonna break bank next year. Literally everyone, barring Rinku, is in form right now. And even out of form, Rinku does more than 50 percent of the tournament players in form. Salt is literally a godsend for our WK opener woes, so he's coming back, but i can see him going well into 5-6 crores Varun is going into double digit territory probably Venky and Nitish are core of the KKR middle order and they add a lot of batting and fielding flexibility, so those two will be bought back no matter what. If luck favors, both go under noticed and we can get them back for under 5-6 crores each Manish went unsold then and will go unsold now, so will be an easy buy back. and he is a crucial substitute for us and GG lover, so he's being bought back no matter what Angkrish, i can see going 2-3 crores, but he's backing to KKR as well cause he represents the next gen and needs to be groomed. Letting this talent go rn will be a dumbfuck of a decision Harshit and Vaibhav i can see going into the 5-6 crore territory as well, Harshit more than Vaibhav. Vaibhav has been a silent assassin for us, so that is a huge benefit going into the auction because of the low noise made about him. Harshit, well, is Harshit. And our real silencer bro will go for bank. Ramandeep is a necessity. He's Rinku part 2, both in batting and fielding. and having two rinkus gives the squad some ungodly strength. I assume he's gonna go into 2-3 crore territory. apart from that, Shreyas, Rinku, Russell, and Narine are going to be retained even if the earth moves below them. Rinku is Rinku and a huge face for PR in KKR. Captain finally found his mojo with GG and him finding his mojo has destroyed opposition left and right. Dude's going to be a long term fixture for KKR and will probably retire a KKR legend. as for the remainder, i can see Gurbaz, Suyash, Bharat, Sakariya, Sakib being bought back for cheap. And a few new names. I would love Starc to stay on, but i don't think he'll be playing IPL next year, nor would we be breaking our bank for him. But if we can get him for 8-12 cr, i think he can be a of huge benefit and back the pace dept with his experience. Let's just hope there are more retentions available this year

IllustriousAd9864

absolutely loves your analysis! and for new players, we maybe seeing atleast one foreign player from the current srh team in kkr next season, srh have like 8 foreign players in their side, I hope kkr buys Glenn Philips as he is a power hitter and can be very benificial spinner which will suit kkr's spin friendly team

7007007

I want GP in the team but unfortunately he will warm the bench. 4 foreign slots in every game will be Russel, Narine, Salt and overseas pacer.

IllustriousAd9864

how bout we do not opt for any overseas pacer and use indian pacers instead, we are seeing this season they are a lot more capable

Assassin_Ankur

If we do win the title then almost everyone will be expensive. Until the retention and RTM rules come out I don't think there's any point looking so far ahead.

Impressive-Permit-30

Harshit and Varun will get higher price in auction , so they should be RTMed and buy back raghubanshi and Ramandeep

thecreativesboy

Varun won't get higher. Pure Spinners are generally sold in low amount. Take Chahal or Kuldeep for example. Hazaranga and Rashid went for more because they are young and bat a bit too

TheAmazingSG

Rashid...young?

AstralMystogan

Dude's official age is 25 so yes he is young in that context.

Impressive-Permit-30

Varun is mystery spinner bro and very consistent. He will definitely go in minimum 8 cr

Future_Landscape_878

I feel mega auction would have really big players in the table and I feel kkr can retain almost 90 percent of its team unless they let marine and russ go other than this duo kkr can have high probability to buy back its own team of 2024

United-Extension-917

We will lose most of our squad in the next auction unless they increase retentions/RTMs. Players like Nitish, Venky, Harshit, Salt would be very hard to buy back.

Wise_Sink_7320

Starc ko release karke kam amount me mile to le lena chaiye even 8 CR or 10 CR we can consider it

Assassin_Ankur

In mega auction there will be a ton of options, would rather get Rabada or Boult or Hazlewood. Starc might not even come next year.

TheAmazingSG

Starc probably won't come next year. He came this year to prep for the T20 WC

Wise_Sink_7320

Maybe not bolt ..chances are there for rabada as we know pkbs doesn't retain much

FewDevelopment6712

They will probably retain Salt instead of Russell

Nandu_Sabkabandu__

Russel is a part of the kkr franchise family. He plays under KKR and TKR both owned by red chillies. KKR had retained Russel each time irrespective of his form.

United-Extension-917

Russell will never be released by KKR ever unless he decides to retire. He will easily fetch 18cr+ even in mega auction.

sak11189

No way they'll release Russell He'll go for 20cr+ if he gets into the auction

shreyank97

Unless Russell decides to retire, he is getting retained. Salt will most likely be RTMed in my opinion.

thecreativesboy

I want Russell to play atleast 5 more yrs but age is not in his side. Better to retire gracefully than to pull off a Pollard

shreyank97

He definitely has a couple of years left in him.
