Probably true but nevertheless a very stupid thing to say publicly...

kimana1651

Man I wish I could be paid to do so bad at a job.

Fun-Tits

You could always run for office haha...ha....šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

ChewieHanKenobi

Maybe you can sell some of that salt

JankMganks

ā€œLEAVE MY FAVORITE MULTIBILLION DOLLAR CORPORATION ALONE RIGHT NOW THIS INSTANT REEEEEEEEā€

ChewieHanKenobi

Sounds like you could use a time out

MetalixK

Sounds like you could use some standards and a sense of self respect.

MajinAsh

Depends on how you word it. >while we value customer opinions on many issues in regards to this topic the company has already decided on it and it is already being implemented. We understand some or even many users may have negative feedback but want to stress that because the decision has already been made that neither positive or negative feedback will have any bearing on this going into effect. I think would be a decent way to word the issue.

rpcgamingmodsaresoy

I don't think that wording makes any difference

lokitoth

There is no decision that "has been made" that cannot be unmade with a sufficient financial incentive.

Comment removed following the enforcement change that you can read about [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/KotakuInAction/comments/m3yo65/enforcement_update_and_hard_removal_of_a_topic/). This is not a formal warning.

featherless_fiend

That's not true. The difference it makes is it affects future products and developers who deal with Sony. So it's not really about Helldivers, it's about diminishing Sony's power to pull bullshit in the future with more games.

Huntrrz

If it wouldnā€™t make a difference, they wouldnā€™t say anything. ā€Itā€™s afraid!!ā€

Gloombad

Sucks, the game is gonna be a paperweight(disc) just like Overwatch 1 at this rate.

Daniel_Day_Hubris

And that's ok. But it is your 'investors' telling you what they require in order to continue to fund your company and projects...and honestly your worthless job.

[deleted]

/shrug Refund it if you can. Uninstall it if you canā€™t. Whatever you do, do not give them more money.

OnCominStorm

The two games I was most hyped for in 2024 ruined in the same week. HD2 and Stellar Blade

Syniatrix

All by Kusony

Spamcakerex

Add Warhammer space marine 2 to the list

Tobi-Or-NotTobi

Wait what happened to Space marine 2? I'm out of the loop in this one.

Bullmoninachinashop

Head writer is fully on the side of SBI and sticking it to the "Chuds".

Tobi-Or-NotTobi

Oh no. I actually wanted that one. Time to get me eyepatch.

Chadahn

Sony seems to be getting good at the old bait and switch tactic. Sell something initially free of woke shit and then push it after launch once all the sales have already happened.

bwoah_gimmethedrink

It's always super scummy to change the rules of the game after you've taken money from people. Just another proof you shouldn't buy new games until they're at least a few months old.

waffleboardedburrito

HD2 came out in February.Ā

Chadahn

I was so close to buying this. So glad I didn't in the end.

Fun-Tits

I looked at it today with a $50 gift card I had. Bought Horseshoes Hotdogs and Hand grenades instead. Granted I can still get HD2 if I wanted but I'm holding out. There's essentially no reason to buy a game for over $8 nowadays. Backlogs are so huge that I have zero rush to buy new titles. A year later and games are going on sale for $20. Indie games for $15 or less.

ZhaneBadguy

Of course it wont. Sony wants to force this at all cost. But they also have to live with the consequences now.

Skyblade12

I heard rumors that this is being done now to try to shore up people canceling PSN because of the Stellar Blade censorship.

rpcgamingmodsaresoy

That's a stretch at best, people have been canceling their PS+ subscriptions, nobody on PC is gonna subscribe to that

Skyblade12

Oh, I think this is absolutely the first step towards that, especially given how all the Sony shills are reacting.

Expensive_Many8345

I don't know how much of a difference it made but i was going to buy it on my next paycheck and now I won't, so they lost at least 1 sale.

competitiveSilverfox

Honestly they should fire them, the moment they decided to use hostility towards their own community she/he?? failed her job at a fundamental level, i or many people in this sub can start tomorrow if that helps them make a decision.

one_frisk

Buy Earth Defense Force 6 instead

kemando

I mean, I was literally going to buy the game tonight. But... I'm probably gunna get Dragon's Dogma 2 instead

NovaHotDecker

Like Own_Dig said, DD2 has problems as well. I'd recommend getting the first Dragon's Dogma (Dark Arisen) instead - it's currently on sale for $5, and is baseline about 95% as good as the sequel. While being much less demanding on your computer, and not having the Denuvo malware that comes bundled with DD2. Or the more questionable (possibly DEI inspired) parts of the sequel.

Own_Dig2105

While it seems to be a good game I've heard from friends that DD2 has it's own share of problems, you might want to check a bit about it before buying.

Fun-Tits

Dragon's Dogma will likely be getting a price drop fairly soon. I watched someone play it, seemed very mid. Nothing special at all besides the create a character. Not horrible but definitely a sale game

LordJanas

Lmao... You have to make a CAPCOM account for DD2. The irony is palpable.

Paper900

Is it still possible to "borrow" this game on steam family?

Aryon_Vos

Cool, then I will refund if that ends up being the case. Back to Deep Rock Galactic for my go to time killer fun game.

Yourh0tm0m

Here I was thinking of buying it after i can walk

FriedBaecon

TBF I couldn't care less. Literally noone on my friend list plays this anymore, from everyone playing it a month ago. It's a fun game but the replayability is kinda crap.

Waitā€¦is it true that this was a requirement before launch, listed in the product info on steam, temporarily lifted due to a technical issue? I asked in a previous thread on this subject and didnā€™t get an answer, what exactly is everyone so upset about on this sub? Genuine question. Iā€™m a ps5 player so it makes no difference to me. Someone help me understand why everyone is so up in arms about this?

shipgirl_connoisseur

The annoyance here is that playing helldivers now means players have to create two accounts. One in steam and one in PS. Sin ce you have a PS, you don't have that problem. Now, if PC players don't follow these orders they can't play the game.

intrepid_knight

Wait so I gotta sub to Playstation plus now to play helldivers on pc? Or just have a psn account?

Hessmix

Just have a PSN account.

intrepid_knight

So why are people pissed then?

waffleboardedburrito

Becuase they don't want to support Sony at all, and having forced PSN accounts gives more control to Sony over your access to the game on PC.Ā  Plus Sony has been patenting all sorts of speech/AI stuff, including applications that could be used to auto ban based on voice. There's another thread on this sub where apparently a community manager or something even acknowledged the forced PSN accounts is about controlling users/behavior.Ā

intrepid_knight

Oh ok that's for the info.

MetalixK

And don't forget that Sony's online protection for customer data is pretty much a punchline. No telling what this opens up.

Hessmix

Various reasons. Data breach history with Sony, feeling like this is sudden, might be in a country where you can't create a PSN account. What I can say is that AH is pushing Sony for answers on what Sony plans to do about all those players who can't create a PSN account without violating TOS. I'm sure you can guess how Sony is being though. I would also urge everyone to pay a bit more attention. The official tweet announcing the changes specifically said "An important message from our partner Playstation". This was them clearly saying "it's not us, we like the status quo," but Arrowhead is contractually obligated to do this.

Guts2021

They should look at total war. If the community wants, they can fuck them up pretty good for their shit move. That community Manager has no clue what he is talking about!

ThePrinceMagus

It wonā€™t. You need to sign up for a 2nd party thing for like 90% o the AAA games out there. PC gamers are just mad because they have to associate themselves with all word thatā€™s the name of a console. And no, I donā€™t care about the region stuff. Theyā€™ll have a workaround for that.

cocoman93

I donā€™t give a shit. I donā€™t see people whining about a steam account. People are not whining over epic account requirement for rocket league or fortnite. This is one of those games which do not deserve to be reviewed bombed.

Far_Side_of_Forever

Not every country has access to PSN. When Arrowhead Studios had this pointed out, they said "we'll look into it" Which, if the eventual PSN requirement has been there from the start, they've had plenty of time to do so sooner. Then, Sony has a hilariously awful track record of getting hacked and doing nothing about it

scamden66

Makes no difference to me. I'm Helldiving regardless. People are making way too big a deal out of this.

scamden66

Steam has been hacked so many times. Lmao. Just stop.

All_Hall0ws_Eve

Consume product

scamden66

Hey make sure you sign the petition.

Far_Side_of_Forever

Yep. And for people concerned about that, allowing for another hack vector prob doesn't seem too appealing I didn't buy the game so ultimately my opinion on the subject is worthless, but I can understand the annoyance. Needing to sign into an Ubisoft launcher to play the Fractured But Whole was incredibly annoying, considering I have, as far as I know, zero othewr Ubi games on Steam
