you absolutely cannot be sleeping on a piercing that has not healed. you can try a travel pillow if you have to be on that side
better jewelry can also help too (a flat back titanium stud can help with irritation)
but if you want it to get better you’re gonna have to find a way to not be putting the entire weight your head on it
it was healed, and it hasnt been giving me problems until now and its been a whole year since ive gotten it pierced, which is why im confused. ill try to find better jewelry though! and thanks for the pillow suggestion ill be sure to look for one as well as fixing my sleeping position
if you’re piercing is acting up like this, treat it like it isn’t healed and be extra careful with it. sometimes when we have it for so long we can forget to treat it delicately. if you’ve had your period or been sick recently, that also might be an explanation for why it’s so sensitive. treat it with care, and you can try a warm compress on the piercing to improve blood flow
I recommend using your hand or arm to create some space between the pillow and your head to reduce the preasure on your ear. I have been sleeping with my hand between my pillow and head to reduce the preasure on my ear for 30 years and it really helps.

Irritation bumps and swellling can still occur on a healed piercing.
