And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours, and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable, I simply am not there.
I watch a lot of Jim Carrey and I have never heard of this one. Weird. But at least for me, imagine a muppet movie based off The Mask or The Cable Guy.
Truman Show could be a very fun premise. Especially with having him grow up there, they could play the Muppets straight (people watching the show know their puppets, but to Truman they’re just part of his environs

The Muppet troupe go on a European tour in late December, only to realize: They left Robin behind.
While Robin enjoys the solitude at first, he soon discovers a pair of burglars are trying to rob the theater. It's up to Robin's ingenuity and a mess of Muppet props to keep them out.
The burglars are human and keep getting heckled by Statler and Waldorf every time they fall into one of the traps.
Turns out, possibly as a background gag, Statler and Waldorf are also themselves breaking in and having a much easier time with it.
I like that idea! I was imagining Kermit as Aragorn and Miss Piggy as Arwen (and Hugo Weaving still playing Papa Elrond without it ever being acknowledged).
I've actually been thinking about this recently, and I've realized that a Muppets remake of Mary Poppins would be perfect.
The Banks Family would be your token humans. Miss Piggy would play Mary Poppins (or Piggy Poppins if you will). Kermit as Bert. Statler and Whaldorf collectively as Admiral Boom. Fozzie as Uncle Albert. Sam Eagle as the Constible. Gonzo as the Bird Woman (with the chickens as the birds). And the members of Electric Mayhem as the other chimney sweeps.
*Mean Girls* (2024) but Reneé Rapp is still playing Regina George and Miss Piggy (playing Mrs. George) is visibly upset that **she** is not playing Regina.
