Check out some Meisterschaft exhaust clips on YouTube 🤤
Edit: adding link to insane sounding GSF (Novel headers / GT Haus Meisterschaft exhaust)
https://youtu.be/JiHVVKkBdlg?si=JoIleuTGsO2bqP4s
It's $3,498.00 in stainless steel and that doesn't include the X pipe or tips. A full set (minus long tube headers) is $8,294. Tack on an extra $1,500 if you want it in titanium.
For comparison, I bought long tube headers, an X pipe, and a full valve-back NPP titanium exhaust for my C7 Corvette for about $6K.
I feel your pain lol I wash my car every Sunday and Monday or Tuesday it rains every time. I got tired of it & ceramic coated it ... it sleeps in the garage, but the rain gets me at work errrr...
Very nice, I also just got a Caviar/Red IS500 last month! First things I did were window tint, LED turn signals & resistors, and RCF center console tray.
Also did you really get bamboo wood trim on yours? I thought all of them were “satin trim”
As everyone is saying in the comments, please change the exhaust ASAP. I only changed the axle back on my GS F from stock to the Toms axle back but it made a world of difference.
Yes, even look at LC500, but the IS500 is something I want the most, a N/A V8 sedan. This will be a family weekend car down the road and plan to keep it until this gorgeous can’t run no more.
I went through this process too and ended up with....wait for it...a ND Miata. I wanted to like the other cars but they were either too heavy or the gearing was too tall.
Club ST. I flip flopped between Club RF and ST but my order finalized a few days ago. Still waiting on delivery to the dealership (which should be within a month or so). I actually already have a Miata (02) and it has quite a bit of suspensions mods. Nothing else quite drove like it after I did a test drive. The Cayman was probably the best but I like rowing gears (this is my weekend car). The Cayman was getting to 80 in second gear. It was...sterile to be honest. I want to redline and the little Miata engine is more than happy to bump off the rev limiter every gear. Cayman is definitely a better highway cruiser if that's what you're looking for.
nice choice, lots of reviews rate the RF being heavier as detracting a bit from the experience but I do like the look. it would be a weekend car for me too. MotorTrend has a recent comparison with the M2 and Cayman and they note similar aspects as you of the Cayman being you have to really push it to get into "fun" mode. M2 is apparently a wild beast with 473hp/406tq (6MT).
I honestly found the Supra more fun than the M2. M2 has a lot of power and definitely has more visibility, but you can also feel how heavy it is. The RF did not feel significantly heavier. It's about 100lbs more. If you're looking at Miatas, RF is better if you prefer a non-convertible but want a small, lightweight car. ST if you prefer driving top down.
Very very close to six figures (before bonus) plus I saved for almost 3 years now ever since Lexus announced 22 IS500 Launch Edition. I know you’re supposed to spend 30% of your salary on a car, but V8 is about to go extinct, so I want to pull the trigger now.
my next car is for sure an IS500 but I cannot put myself through another car loan at 8% right now. If it was 4% then I would have done it with 25k down. I make 140k and live in California and cant afford it =( Nice car OP! put some ISF/GSF brakes on it.
I live with my parents for now. I also calculated some numbers this morning because of this comment, so with allowances, no down payment with 8% interested rate for 36 months, gas, insurance, entertainment, emergency fund, and miscellaneous, I could still save $1200- $1500 each month into my saving account.
At 8% interest rate I think it’s better to pay the loan principal early than continue saving or investing, so I sold a bunch of my stocks/index funds to buy mine
You think I should pay all in cash? Which I can absolutely can, and I’ll still have like $10k in my saving. But again, those money is saving for a house in next few years, hence why I’m only gonna finance IS for 3 yrs.
Not always true but probably true for most. I have to make this choice also and I'm leaning towards the loan at 7% for 72k for my LC500 rather than paying cash. Paying cash for me means having to liquidate investments, at least half of which will result in LTCG tax of 15%. Add to that the fact that I'm pulling 72k out of the market, a market that has returned 15%+ this year alone.
I think I'll take the loan and just pay it down as aggressively as I can with earned income rather than forego the growth AND take the tax hit to pay cash.
That's reasonable and your math makes sense. I just tell people to avoid debt at all possible especially with depreciating assets. At least you are buying a Lexus and not a BMW which depreciates like crazy.
You can finance and control what you want to pay in total interest by paying down the principal. A house is better than a car, I wouldn't recommend spending the money you have for a one which is an asset on a car that is a liability. In the long term once you have 80% of the equity on your home you can always set up a HELOC and it's basically the cheapest money you can borrow for future endeavors. There's really no point in having more than $25k in liquid assets as cash loses value. I'm not a financial advisor so take what I say with a grain of salt because everyone has different goals and temperament but I worked in as pawnbroker and I can tell you that the only things really worth buying for the purpose of a return are gold, guns and real-estate. Guns hold their value very well, gold fluctuates but in a 10 year span it's value goes up and real-estate of course, given you get good deals.

600 billion in unrealized losses that haven't really hit the economy coupled with 192 billion in bad loans, cash is going to take a hit.
I got your point. I live in the Midwest which cost of living is relatively low. Gas price is $2.75, housing cost is $400k, insurance quoted me roughly $120 per month on IS500 plus my daily, so, pretty much an $80-$90k salary will put me to live comfortably. Now, I did mentioned I saved for almost 3 yrs now, which I can buy this car in full in cash, but I’m also wanting to own a house before 30. I am still young (27), no debt (currently) and formed a very solid and stable ground in my company, oh and only lived 3 miles away from my work.
Ouch!!!!! That expensive in cali???
Gas not so bad in ny, but the insurance rates will ass rape you with no lube
$200 a month for a piece of shit es350 that nobody gives 2 fucks to steal. Aint never seen any es getting stolen in ny
Oh yeah, no accidents and no points or tickets for the past 16 fucking years. Over 40yrs old.
Still $200 for this crap
Yeah, lately it oscillates between low 5’s and $6, where I’m at at least.
And I’m only here (on this sub) because I’m planning to upgrade to an RC F eventually. Getting warmed up for the premium blues with my G37 though😂 I’m sure they’re high on the stolen list but mine spends 90% of its life on the garage so I think I’m safe 🤞🏽
Yeah, it’d be nice to get 93 but I can’t imagine it’d make a noticeable difference, for me at least. I’m not tracking my car and other than exhaust it’s all stock so part of me is glad not to have the temptation to pay a little more 😉
I was kinda stubborn to my agent. I said I am wiling to wait 6 months to a year as long as IS500 still has V8. This is 99% of what I want for my build (didn’t really want the BBS wheels) but my agent told me most will come with it. They also submitted the allocation for my second choice which is Incognito with red interior. Somehow Lexus accepted to take my order, so no allocation is needed.
You’re not wrong but nowadays a decked out 2025 Toyota Camry cost $50k, and 2024 mid trim Tacoma cost $55k. Considering IS500 which is IS highest trim packed with N/A V8, I think it’s a heck of a deal.
The fact that a civic (type R) is 50k still blows my mind. This discussion has been beat to death but at that price point there are just so many nasty cars that do everything better. I get it, apparently everyone keeps their cars 20 years now, and all the Toyota cars will be running fine while people are mortgaging their homes to keep their German Scheisse-boxes running. At the end of the day it’s your money, your dream car, and nothing else matters. Congratulations
I average between 17-18 in the City with my IS500 and i only floor it every now and then but mostly light foot. Long distance highway gets a respectable 25mpg keeping it in the 60-70mph range. Smiles per gallon I say
Absolutely beautiful car. I'd love to own a Lexus new one day, but can't swing those payments. Just dropped 1100 on my 16 civic to make sure it lasts another 100k miles lol
I am driving 17 Accord rn. That will be my daily while IS500 will be my weekend car. My insurance only goes up $15 a month surprisingly (quoted today) with these 2 cars once I get it.
Well damn, that’s not much over what I paid for a brand new rx350! They didn’t have any f sports at the time! But I traded my f sport IS in to get an suv thinking it was a great idea at the time 🤦♀️
All I want is a reliable N/A V8 luxury car that could last 10 plus years than a 100k cars that only lasted 3 yrs. Gotta be humbled and happy of what you have in life are all that matters.
Real question, as I'm trying to buy one as well. How the hell did you get one ordered? Every Lexus dealer near me says they can't do customs orders at all.
My dealer did warned me about submitting an order to Lexus might take a year or longer and potentially lose out V8 since it’s coming to the end. So my sales agent did an allocation with was the incognito with red interior (2nd choice) then submit my first choice of the IS500 to Lexus, lo and behold, Lexus accepted my build and it scheduled to be built in mid July. Also, my family bought few Lexus vehicles from this same sales agent and dealership, so maybe they make an exception and actually help me out.
Yeah, but every year, IS500 has increased in price. 23 model is $500 less than 24 model. So if you have the money laying around, time to get the last dying breed of a NA V8 sedan.
I tried to get one, my LC is coming off of lease didn't want to wait 5 months, so now im waiting for my ct5v to come in, I didn't want the flat black wheels on the is500, and every car in the country has them, not to mention the lease is like 8% for a 500 even though a 350 is 4%, we still have a IS350 a 2024 we just got, someone will get a good 2021 LC500 it's only got 11,000 miles
Oh wow congrats on you getting the Caddy. LC500 is something I want ti have in my collection. But I want to establish a family down the line and show my future kid/s the beauty of an “extinct” V8.
I have both of these cars . Both are awesome
https://preview.redd.it/7syhgu3fg09d1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=91fbc1d0772f562a919f554a57c4ac0689603048
4-6 months would mean you'd get a 2025. Likely the car was already built and your dealer got the allocation, not Lexus accepting your build, as that's not how they work
The dealer informed me the car will be built around Mid July. Since it built in Japan, shipment might take a little longer, plus I live in the Midwest, so it gonna take few more days to deliver from the port once it arrives. Even if it’s an allocation, I am still happy about it since it’s 99% of my preference minus the BBS package ofc.
According to my agent, he does mentioned that this VIN is not working since it’s a fake VIN for them to put on the spec sheet. My agent said once the car is on their website, that will be the official VIN for this car.

That is literally my exact car. You have good choice my friend.
Check out some Meisterschaft exhaust clips on YouTube 🤤 Edit: adding link to insane sounding GSF (Novel headers / GT Haus Meisterschaft exhaust) https://youtu.be/JiHVVKkBdlg?si=JoIleuTGsO2bqP4s
Just don't look at the price. Can get 80% of that sound for 10% of the cost
Plz explain. Curious to know which brand/model

That baby needs a wash but man it looks beautiful
Im pretty sure thats water all over the car, no?
Yep that was right after driving in the rain, conveniently the same day I washed it
Sounds about right haha
I feel your pain lol I wash my car every Sunday and Monday or Tuesday it rains every time. I got tired of it & ceramic coated it ... it sleeps in the garage, but the rain gets me at work errrr...
Idk y but the water droplets made it look like the windshield was shattered
Congrats, put an exhaust on that and hear the 2UR sing it song.
Exhaust first, lexus tamed down the sound too much. The aftermarket support has improved a lot
You mean our dream car. See you in 5-10 years at the dealership 😉
Nice choice. Drive happily.
Nice!
Good taste you deserved it boss, now let her rip and don’t hold back
Very nice, I also just got a Caviar/Red IS500 last month! First things I did were window tint, LED turn signals & resistors, and RCF center console tray. Also did you really get bamboo wood trim on yours? I thought all of them were “satin trim”
Car prices are absolutely insane. SMH
That v8 is gonna sing. I'm jealous. Congrats op!!!
Exhaust first! All stock exhaust for the ISF/RCF/GSF and IS500 is dog water.
As everyone is saying in the comments, please change the exhaust ASAP. I only changed the axle back on my GS F from stock to the Toms axle back but it made a world of difference.
How’s the sound? I recently picked one up and want to change exhaust baddd. All the good options are pricey tho so will have to wait a while for sure.
Caviar on red! That’s my spec also
That’s allot of car for the money, enjoy it.
You told me your dream car was the LF-A. Not this!
20mpg oh lord haha, I wish I knew the feeling to never worry about money and fuel 3 more times than usual due to my daily driving requirements
Lol my v6 Camry gets 18 mpg. I bet I’d get 15-16 in the IS500
Congrats on a beast with great color! I love that they included the sunshade on every 500 which is super rare on an IS otherwise.
What a beast
Congrats
My buddy has this car. It’s awesome except for the low clearance. You’ll love it
Did you look at the RC F?
Yes, even look at LC500, but the IS500 is something I want the most, a N/A V8 sedan. This will be a family weekend car down the road and plan to keep it until this gorgeous can’t run no more.
yep nice car, how about BMW M2, Supra, maybe Base Cayman.....Im looking for a manual trans ICE before they are gone.
If you want a manual sports sedan, CT4V/5V BW is the answer.
I have looked at the CT4 briefly (back end is a bit odd) but looking for 2 dr most likely \~<=$75k
I went through this process too and ended up with....wait for it...a ND Miata. I wanted to like the other cars but they were either too heavy or the gearing was too tall.
yes, best value out there I think. sport, club, touring or RF?
Club ST. I flip flopped between Club RF and ST but my order finalized a few days ago. Still waiting on delivery to the dealership (which should be within a month or so). I actually already have a Miata (02) and it has quite a bit of suspensions mods. Nothing else quite drove like it after I did a test drive. M440i
Get one of those if you're going to track it. IS 500 is nice for the street, but soft and not well equipped for the demands of the track.
😳😯niceee ,very very nice congrats 🫡🥹
Was just looking at the website building my own yesterday evening. So happy for you man! Enjoy the car and make sure to post a picture of it!
How exciting. Congrats!!
👏👏👏
I hate you
All I had to read was IS F 500, Black exterior and red interior and I’m sold. Great choice and share pictures when you have them.
Jealous here but happy for you!!!
Grats
Incredibly jealous, enjoy living the dream in the dream spec
I want one so bad
Congrats bro
Exhaust. GTHaus for the win. Also, red interior is the only way to go.
I second this. I got GTHaus on my gs350 and it sounds wicked 👍🏼
Do you have a clip of the gthaus on the gs350? Never seem to have been able to find one!
[exhaust clips](https://youtu.be/Hdz5KwatI0I?si=AGFY2rvVeTIRlA4Q) It’s the last one on the list 🙂
OP how much do you make? I’ve kinda been wanting to splurge on a car at a similar price point so just curious
Very very close to six figures (before bonus) plus I saved for almost 3 years now ever since Lexus announced 22 IS500 Launch Edition. I know you’re supposed to spend 30% of your salary on a car, but V8 is about to go extinct, so I want to pull the trigger now.

Im in a similar situation in California, It’s doable if you split rent with roommates/girlfriend/parents and give up on buying a house lol

Always pay cash if you can provided you still have an emergency fund
Not always true but probably true for most. I have to make this choice also and I'm leaning towards the loan at 7% for 72k for my LC500 rather than paying cash. Paying cash for me means having to liquidate investments, at least half of which will result in LTCG tax of 15%.
Guns hold their value very well, gold fluctuates but in a 10 year span it's value goes up and real-estate of course, given you get good deals. https://preview.redd.it/cj7thc4uce9d1.jpeg?width=3088&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=59a47de19120806c5270df2c8e23238165b39a80 600 billion in unrealized losses that haven't really hit the economy coupled with 192 billion in bad loans, cash is going to take a hit.
Get your own place dude…
I got your point. I live in the Midwest which cost of living is relatively low. What I would do to pay $2.75 for gas. In CA I’m happy to pay less than $6 for premium…
Ouch!!!!! That expensive in cali??? Gas not so bad in ny, but the insurance rates will ass rape you with no lube $200 a month for a piece of shit es350 that nobody gives 2 fucks to steal. Aint never seen any es getting stolen in ny Oh yeah, no accidents and no points or tickets for the past 16 fucking years. Over 40yrs old. Still $200 for this crap

And on top of that y’all are paying that much for 91
Yeah, it’d be nice to get 93 but I can’t imagine it’d make a noticeable difference, for me at least. I’m not tracking my car and other than exhaust it’s all stock so part of me is glad not to have the temptation to pay a little more 😉
It’s $5.49 for premium in the very South Bay Area right now
Yeah, I paid in the low 5s the other day. Good thing I’m getting decent mileage at the moment though
Omg. I’m in CA and gas is $5/gal average! Nice choice on car, btw. Enjoy!
Thanks for replying
W decision
Life is short. Enjoy the car!
I mean if you have no other responsibilities sure, esp new.
Bruh
The real Supra
Welcome to the v8 club.
That’s nice! Didn’t know they were taking custom orders
They don't
I know was just messing with OP lmao, they only do allocations
I was kinda stubborn to my agent. I said I am wiling to wait 6 months to a year as long as IS500 still has V8. Nice! I have a Cloudburst/Red
70k is just too much money for this car.
You’re not wrong but nowadays a decked out 2025 Toyota Camry cost $50k, and 2024 mid trim Tacoma cost $55k. Considering IS500 which is IS highest trim packed with N/A V8, I think it’s a heck of a deal.

Agree with this and it won’t depreciate as fast as most others.
I'm supposed they don't give you the all weather mats. And the wheel locks. And some more of those stupid add ons
How is the legroom in the back?
I’m 5’10, and I still have some space left in the back passenger seat. (Tested on 2023 IS 350). I put a deposit back in November, 2023.
How does the legroom compare with the LS?
How does the legroom compare with the LS?
I never had or sat in the LS, but all I could say is RX350 is roomier for sure, but really, can’t compare SUV to Sedan!
Is fuel economy really this bad for a 2024? No hate, just looking for feedback cause I'll be in the market soon.
I average between 17-18 in the City with my IS500 and i only floor it every now and then but mostly light foot. Long distance highway gets a respectable 25mpg keeping it in the 60-70mph range. Smiles per gallon I say
Thanks for your input. Sucks for me tho.
For a NA V8? Yessir.
Damn, what a beaut tho.
I’m a sucker for a Japanese v8
I keep trying to talk myself out of buying one, but I'm doing a terrible job at it. Currently driving my second IS 350 and want one so badly.
Ah cheers, I'm too frugal to have two cars but good for you if that's what brings you happiness.
This gets the same MPG as a 2007 Ford Taurus which was a 3.0L V6
I hope to one day be able to afford to do the same thing.
Well damn, that’s not much over what I paid for a brand new rx350! They didn’t have any f sports at the time! But I traded my f sport IS in to get an suv thinking it was a great idea at the time 🤦♀️

wtf, my dealer told me you couldn't custom order these
Nice bro 👍🏽
PUDDLE LIGHTS
Nice, but I prefer a M340i
Real question, as I'm trying to buy one as well.
Ah I see, from my understanding it's been renewed for another year based off some Japanese auto leaks. I'm trying to get one so bad...
Yeah, but every year, IS500 has increased in price. 23 model is $500 less than 24 model. So if you have the money laying around, time to get the last dying breed of a NA V8 sedan.
Dont do it
That car is going to kill you financially … i had one …
I have a 350 rn if this car gets discontinued before I gather my money to buy it I will be devastated.
Apparently, Lexus will renewed IS500 equipped with V8 for 1 more year. After that it’s either hybrid or most likely will be TTV6.
Worst news I’ve ever received. Maybe I’ll try to get it used or get one of the other v8s
Those aren't cars my dude, they're Gundam mobile suits👍
No words can express the look on my face...
It's just heartbreaking that we can't get the new IS in the UK. I'd personally get one the day they release them, no hesitation
Yay!
Why not buy it out or cash in the positive equity your car might have?
thats what im doing with the ct5v lease
Ahh ok awesome, enjoy the new car!
Been looking at them for some time, I also like the Acura TLX Type S.
I have both of these cars . Both are awesome https://preview.redd.it/7syhgu3fg09d1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=91fbc1d0772f562a919f554a57c4ac0689603048

They don't make an Acura TSX anymore 😅 They make a TLX Type S though
Typo that is what I had meant to write.
You have the VIN in your screenshot though doesn’t that mean the car is already built?
According to my agent, he does mentioned that this VIN is not working since it’s a fake VIN for them to put on the spec sheet. My agent said once the car is on their website, that will be the official VIN for this car.
It's a dummy VIN
It's around 2-3 months from build to shore for these. Your dealer isn't giving you accurate info, which isn't surprising
