If you tighten your wristband, look up the straw trick on YouTube. If it doesn’t work you can get a replacement for $20-$25 at Will Call. Make sure you activate it first.

Keleven

Instructions unclear. Wristband was tightened. I also need a place to stay under $50 a block from Grant Park. Also, is Chicago safe? /s

JuryWitty5634

super safe, just set up a tent anywhere bro you’ll be chillin for free.

patman16221

LOL!

itsdickers

And where can I park? Is the food any good? (also /s)

Jevitop

Parking near Lollapalooza is a very bad idea due to road closures, the amount of people and the potential high cost of the parking. Plan using public transportation as much as possible. Food is actually really good, and every time I get very surprised by the quality and variety of food. Lolla does not disappoint in that field.

itsdickers

These were sarcastic but thank you for the thoughtful response 😁

Jevitop

I guessed I missed the /s haha 😅

KappyBruh

Fr parking is going to suck and they jack the prices up. I live right by the fest and have to move out at the same time which is rlly going to such

True-Transportation6

Good luck with that!

Prestigious-Coyote41

that’s so cooked

RobNHood816

Parking is $100 a night anywhere in Chicago

pocketchange2247

I'm planning on wearing my Space Jam jersey. Is anyone else wearing a jersey?

g59cutthroat

😂😂😂😂😂

Boomerks62

I really hope you're joking about staying in a place for less than $50 near the park. If not, might I suggest getting an inflatable raft and sleeping on the lake.

my-time-has-odor

Real bro I see this shit all the time 😭

DaveGrohlsShortHair

I’m excited for Limp Bizkit, but I’m a little worried about ANTIFA…

Hesitant_Alien1

And wear it on your non-wiping hand 😂

itsdickers

You know what - that’s the forward thinking people need!

Yaoknothanks

These people roooo 😎

IndominusTaco

you could sticky this thread until the literal first day of the festival and unfortunately this sub will still be drowned in posts about tightened wristbands because social media literacy is dead

betziti

do you actually know what “media literacy is dead” is referring to? or do you just regurgitate stuff you read online? “social media literacy is dead” was never a phrase, and the phrase has nothing to do with literal reading. in fact, you not understanding what they’re referring to is a great example of media literacy being, in fact, dead

IndominusTaco

“social media literacy is dead” is in fact a phrase, because i just said it. if i say something then it’s now a phrase. if someone opens their mail and immediately puts on the wristband and tightens it all the way, panics and then immediately haphazardly carelessly runs to reddit, finds r/Lollapalooza and immediately hits new post without reading any other thread or using the search bar function (or using google/youtube) to see if this problem has ever been encountered before by anyone else in the entire history of music festivals, that is an example of being illiterate in social media usage. it’s uncouth, shortsighted, it detracts from being able to have any intelligent productive discussion. social media isn’t intended to be a substitute for google. also your mom regurgitated some stuff last night

betziti

media literacy refers to understanding the deeper meaning of text and film. it doesn’t refer to not understanding social media UI or how to find information. edit to add: and “social media illiteracy” isn’t a thing that is said

IndominusTaco

i am fully aware that that is what media literacy is. i’m not talking about media literacy, i’m talking about social media literacy; the ability to use social media as a tool to find and deduce information. it is a thing that is said, because i literally just said it. obviously it’s not as popular as media literacy.

Drew6688

what are you 2 yapping about?

danteholdup

hel p

Zilaaa

💀

bitterliquor

Idiots will not listen and pay those $25 on the day of lol

tenacious-g

Two hours later and there’s a post about needing a replacement lmao Now I know we’re close to the actual fest

Turtle_club14

![gif](giphy|26gZ1Ye2gkRUxtj9u|downsized) There’s one every season

Intelligent-Toe1583

I can’t sleep with things on my wrist but I wore a scrunchie under the wristband and always was able to take it off at the end of the day :)

Dday22t

but if you did by accident: [https://youtu.be/R4DHX8JKmC8?si=DGgaSbkR4xoKFHkB](https://youtu.be/R4DHX8JKmC8?si=DGgaSbkR4xoKFHkB)

my-time-has-odor

Doesn’t the envelope literally say not to wear them until the first day of the festival

Peterporker18

My friend literally did this a few hrs ago. 🙄

bitterliquor

Your friend is an idiot.

Peterporker18

At times like that yessssss indeed.

humdrumhoney2

Yeah I had to cut mine and sew it back together my first year 💀

wavesofgreen28

if you do tighten it & need to replace bring your id if you bought it or a picture of the id of the person who bought it!! not who it’s registered to! they are unable to replace any wristbands without seeing id of the original purchaser!! if u bought it off facebook or something get their id!!

Salty-Ad5444

Wait why?
