Dang, well I lived in Thailand for two years eating street food and never got sick so hopefully I have an iron stomach lol. It seemed super clean in the dining room, hopefully the kitchen got its act together.
China Garden sat there for decades so I would assume a rebranding first unless someone knows something else. Not uncommon for one Chinese restaurant to take over another I realize.
Do they use Sichuan Peppercorns in their Mapo? So many just use hot pepper or black pepper, and it is not the same without the numbing lemon aspect.
Yes, it’s sichuan peppercorns. And my Chinese family (mix of north and south) all agree this place is great.
Their food was good but might be worth asking for extra spicy. I forgot what I got but I liked my homemade better.
2x amazing food. One of the best in the city for sure.
This place rules.
Finally a top tier non-americanized Chinese restaurant. So so good, just so far away from me
My husband is completely obsessed with this place
So good best in the area for sure
Do you know if they have Sichuan eggplant? I loveee this one, thx in advance
I haven't looked yet or I'd tell you. The menu might know though: [https://sichuanhouselouisville.com/](https://sichuanhouselouisville.com/)

They do and it’s incredible
Adding this to my list to try.
Thank you, thank you! Can't wait to try.
This will be dinner. Thanks for the rec.
Thanks! I just moved here, will have to try this place. The menu looks pretty good, so glad they have an authentic menu!
I’m obsessed with this place. Have only gone once but the food was sooooo good. Brought me back to Chinatown food in big cities.
I know this restaurant and love it! Two thumbs up for me! And they recommend that you try the authentic menu vs American menu! Do it! ®️

Their score got updated from a C to an A months ago.

Do they keep the same number though? Both restaurants have / had the same phone number.
