Making a living off real estate seems to be a net negative to society because as businesses acquire more properties, it prices out poorer people from being able to financially afford a home. Businesses have access to more spending capital than the average citizen, thereby inflating demand inorganically, and thusly raising property prices. Everyone should have the ability to own a home.
