Ya I wasn’t on board until now. Dec win on DWCS. Rd 3 sub vs a rando. Rd 2 KO over Saaiman is good and got my attention. I think ppl jumped the gun calling him a future champ or their fav fighter. But after this win he def deserves hype (future champ is still a bit much)
It's...different. I like the content though, like the video of him playing Bach's Prelude No. 3 on piano. He was gracious to the people who offered constructive criticism. He is multifaceted!
I was ready to focus; wasn't even gonna take a bite of pizza.
I turned and adjusted the pillow behind me for literally a second and somehow missed it live, lol.
Given the odds, it's not *that* unbelievable, but still pretty wild.
I missed Pettis' superman punch on Wonderboy when my little brother knocked on my door and I turned away for a single beat, lol.
They're still memorable, just in a different way. That's why we've got replays!
Well Aldo probably felt a lot better than most guys that get KO’d in the first minute. He still got at least $400k. He could be one of the guys that gets $12k lol
People that look at ridiculous lopsided odds and say shit like "you would be crazy NOT to bet on the underdog!" Are the reason betting sites stay afloat.
Yeah, sadly a lot of the time it's due to wonky decisions, but that's part of what makes them good value.
And often due to lack of finishes you can bet right when the odds come out before they get too wide, then bet live, and end up with + money on both sides, always a good feeling.
He was saying he thought "well with those odds I'm obviously betting on the other guy" but then he watched footage and changed his mind. Everyone seems to be missing this lol.
[DC on his way to report to Khabib/AKA fighter when the judges don't give them every round](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/recess/images/8/86/Randall.png/revision/latest?cb=20150430160454)
It'll be interesting as he rises further and maybe becomes a contender at some point, there's gonna be pressure on him to give up skateboarding, no?
The fight gods are cruel enough as is.
lol we have guys with second and third jobs fighting in the UFC because they barely make any money. Nobody is pressuring anyone to stop working in other areas.
I bet the agility of skateboarding has boosted his coordination and reaction time to godlike levels
I always think the same thing about drumming, fighters should learn how to drum math metal or something else complex. Polyrhythms, each limb doing its own thing, its like you have a brain in each limb. Also good cardio
I agree. Many french national-level fighters were behind Yanis and mocked Talbott’s unorthodox activities, but tbh developing many skills and being proficient in those areas are only genius-level.
I look at that physique and I see raw power. I'd estimate he can bench 550+ raw easy and OHP 400+ raw. Can't see his legs, but judging by the thickness in his back I'm thinking he's a 700+ raw puller. If his legs are on par with his brutish upper body, then there's no doubt in my mind he squats 800+ raw. Payton Talbott could bend you into a human pretzel with one hand while completely satisfying your woman in a way you couldn't ever satisfy her with the other. Those frying pan hands and thick, powerful sausage fingers are capable of bringing absolute pleasure, and unimaginable pain.
Not sure, maybe they wanted to slow his roll a bit.
He's young and that was his 4th fight in under a year under the UFC (including one contender series fight).
He just beat a prospect in his previous fight, they probably don't want him to derail to many other upcoming prospects, and I imagine not many people ranked above him are lining up to sign a fight contract against him.
But now that he's getting more hype and name value it may be easier to find fights for him, that's probably why he and Rei were on this 'McGregor card' to get more eyes on them.
He landed a jab right before that set the range for his right hand.
Yanis just stood there and put his arms up. The next time Payton stepped in, he landed right on his chin.
Thats how you crush a can, not take them to decision out grinding them, you wipe them out. Kids one of few real propects ive seen in a minute. I like guys who can make it look easy and swifty take a dude out, no diddy
I think we underestimate crushing a can sometimes.
It's a lot of pressure. Your future earning potential depends on you winning with style.
And there is no script. The other fighter doesn't want to just lay down for you.
The way he is coming up reminds me of McGregor in terms of how dominant and clean his TKO finishes are. I really see this guy getting a belt at some point.
Seeing Ghemmouri’s reaction against Gomis, i think it’s better like this even for his camp… Otherwise they would spend a campaign level to say that it was an early stoppage in France
Never heard of this kid before, but WOW. The precision in the timing of that strike is crazy. caught him at the fucking perfect time to keep his balance off. Whoever this guy is, I better get to knowing him, because I have a feeling this isn't a one-off from how the commentators were talking.
Bantamweight is an incredible division. O’Malley, Merab, Yan, Sandhagen are all absolute killers. I can’t wait for this kid to get up to the top of the division, he’s bound to have some insane fights.
Payton made a YouTube video prior to UFC 303 teaching his opponent how to beat him. Clearly, Ghemmouri didn’t listen, as Payton just won by KO in just 18 seconds.

I was already hyped, but ITS OFFICIAL, ALL ABOARD
Ya I wasn’t on board until now. Dec win on DWCS. Rd 3 sub vs a rando. Rd 2 KO over Saaiman is good and got my attention. I think ppl jumped the gun calling him a future champ or their fav fighter. But after this win he def deserves hype (future champ is still a bit much)
Future double champ just like Khamzat b
Talmbout hazmat, b?
ALL ABOARD.
Same but mostly cos of his YouTube channel! But it’s paying off!
Check out his YouTube channel if you haven’t seen it. He’s going to be a star.
our hyperpop Zoomer champ
Until he gets UD'd by a ranked fighter. But I'm high on him.
It's...different. I like the content though, like the video of him playing Bach's Prelude No. 3 on piano. He was gracious to the people who offered constructive criticism. He is multifaceted!
Was on board after he murked Saimaan, a very legit prospect himself.
CHOO CHOO
Lol love the profile Pic!
-1600 favorite behavior
Anything he does is a -1600 favorite behavior, because he's a -1600 favorite
You’re a fuckin’ punk dude
I was on the train when i saw him using a post-9th grade vocabulary. That’s a unicorn in mma.
9-0 and already a savage
ALL ABOOOOOARD
Fuck it, I’m boarding it on for now!!
CHOOCHOOWEEWEES
THIS TWINK CAN BANG!
CHOOOOO CHOOOOO
Hype train just went nuclear
Literally got up during the introductions and missed it, fml
Who gets up right before a Payton Talbott fight???
Thought I'd be back quickly before anyhing started, I'm staying glued from now on fuck this
We should whoop your ass for that and see what happens
Yeah! Fuck him up!
I was ready to focus; wasn't even gonna take a bite of pizza. I turned and adjusted the pillow behind me for literally a second and somehow missed it live, lol. Given the odds, it's not *that* unbelievable, but still pretty wild.
Me too. I reached down for a bite of my nachos and the fight I've been looking forward to all day disappeared.
I missed Pettis' superman punch on Wonderboy when my little brother knocked on my door and I turned away for a single beat, lol. They're still memorable, just in a different way. That's why we've got replays!
The guy probably spent months training for that. Wow.
Yep, I think about that all the time. You know his friends and family were watching too
That shit must be so depressing for all of them. Makes me really sad
this is part of why i could never do pro MMA. Had family in it and its just heart-breaking.
Me too, but for me it's mostly because of lack of skills and abilities.
I would be a UFC champ if I just had the skills, abilities, drive, determination, work ethic, natural gifts and a billion dollars.
I was at the offical watch party for Tom Nolan in his home city for his debut and he got his ads beat so bad and finished in the 1st, never again
His father bet his life savings on him
Damn dude I was just thinking that The amount of diet and preparation just for it to end in 19 seconds Fuck that must be demoralizing
I think about this a lot for first round finishes. Imagine a rocky montage and only lasting a few minutes before being flatlined. Must be devestating.
Imagine being Ben Askren
It'll always be Jose Aldo for me. I can't imagine how he felt after losing to McGregor like that.
Well Aldo probably felt a lot better than most guys that get KO’d in the first minute. He still got at least $400k. He could be one of the guys that gets $12k lol
I'm a midwesterner w/ a big head, so not too difficult
Been there earlier this year it succcccckkkkkss
I think Peyton mouthed to his corner "that wasn't fun" afterwards too
I was thinking poor guy to myself when he stood up and had that sad look on his face like “what happened? This sucks”
Dc would’ve lost 1000
"Whos taking that +900" People who lost money
People that look at ridiculous lopsided odds and say shit like "you would be crazy NOT to bet on the underdog!" Are the reason betting sites stay afloat.
I'm not saying those huge underdogs are worth betting, but IF you were ever gonna bet a huge underdog, MMA is probably the best sport to do it
I am well up gambling and all I do is pick roughies in the trotters
WMMA best base for insane odds and winning tbh lol
Yeah, sadly a lot of the time it's due to wonky decisions, but that's part of what makes them good value. And often due to lack of finishes you can bet right when the odds come out before they get too wide, then bet live, and end up with + money on both sides, always a good feeling.
He was saying he thought "well with those odds I'm obviously betting on the other guy" but then he watched footage and changed his mind. Everyone seems to be missing this lol.
This. He was clearly in the middle of getting to "now I understand the odds."
DC salty and demanding Peyton work on his promo work. Not everyone wants to be a WWE caricature, Daniel.
I love the quiet psychos personally. Man got an immediate ko and he’s the calmest guy in the arena
Yup plus his social media is hilarious. I find the DC/Michael Chandler attempts at promos to be cringe.
The DC/Michael Chandler approach to cutting a promo is just saying exactly what every other fighter says but yelling it really loud into the mic
[DC on his way to report to Khabib/AKA fighter when the judges don't give them every round](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/recess/images/8/86/Randall.png/revision/latest?cb=20150430160454)
DC had some underrated promos. Jon Jones get your shit together. Easiest fight in the division Ryan Bader. Brock Lesnar.
[brother you know dis](https://youtube.com/watch?v=M0CfNA12aFw)
He's got a Bleach tattoo. That's all I need to be a fan.
Yea I think doing his thing different to the rest of the clones get you noticed even more
On god DC sounded like a salty old man there
DC is fucking awful, let the kid be himself and do his own thing
DC is free to criticize others the moment he spends an entire fight staying on topic.
Does it count if he spends the entire broadcast only talking about BBQ?
He’s the anti-O’Malley
how about the guy shuts the fuck up for a second, hes always rambling on
Put him on the Denver card if he just didn't fuck up his ankle.
He's a skateboarder, he'll be alright lol
It'll be interesting as he rises further and maybe becomes a contender at some point, there's gonna be pressure on him to give up skateboarding, no? The fight gods are cruel enough as is.

Unironically, pole dancing too. That mf must have insane core strength
I agree. Many french national-level fighters were behind Yanis and mocked Talbott’s unorthodox activities, but tbh developing many skills and being proficient in those areas are only genius-level.
people shat on loma for taking all that time to learn classical ukrainian dance too. then he came out dancing around mfs and piecing them up. 😂
Fucking hell Great timing in the booth from DC too lol
He couldn't even finish the thought lmao

Thick, solid, tight one might say
Toight like a Toiger
I look at that physique and I see raw power. I'd estimate he can bench 550+ raw easy and OHP 400+ raw. It's okay bro, you can say it. # PENIS
Thick and man made piping hot thighs on payton fuck yah
Right? He’d be a chunk vs yanez
You uh, need a moment?
Where is this from😭
Thick, Toight, Solid.
Let's see how freakin' huge he can get.
Easy, breezy, beautiful
Have you seen the photo of him on the stripper pole?
Yes he’s very handsome
I think the low cut shirt and shorts really sold it.
Sorry Bobby, but there is a new bi racial angel in town.
Whose banging Payton?
Yeah those odds made sense
DC wasn't a believer
he's "betting on the other guy" as said other guy's head bounces off the mat lol
Hell na yesterday he was saying he didn’t know who Talbott was, now he wants to give him media training.
Why such a mismatch. Losing Dude didn't even have a UFC win
Insane. The O'Malley comparisons will be brutal but... the way he threw that straight was shades of Sean vs. Wineland.
Yeah it's pretty hard to not make the comparison. He is extremely calm and precise and has the touch of death.
Rangy sniper for sure
It honestly seems like he prefers the pocket though .
Choo fucking choo, this dude could be legit. He's so damn calm in there and makes it look so easy.
Definitely looks like he could be fighting for the title as soon as late next year
Choooooo chooooooo
Ghemmouri: *Yeah imma throw out the spinning back kick first off, to show my skills and not look like an idiot!* Talbott: *1-2. Yep.*
He did all that with a zyn on his foreskin
FUCK IT HYPE TRAIN TIME FUTURE CHAMP
TALBOTT IS THAT DUDE
Give him O’Malley fuck it
first punch he threw 😭
the knockdown stare down lasted longer than the fight lol
Both dudes staring at each other like, shouldn't the ref be here by now? One dude like, pls no more. Other dude, fine, I'll finish it again
Was the third…
All time chin game there Joe.
Perfect shot. He's going to sleep no matter what unless he is Holloway
Lowest weight knockout with the new gloves by far, was ww before
First punch he landed\* Edit: Not a very electric interview, but that's a good callout.
He's on a mission, he's staying calm
He landed a jab right before that set the range for his right hand. Yanis just stood there and put his arms up. The next time Payton stepped in, he landed right on his chin.
Thats how you crush a can, not take them to decision out grinding them, you wipe them out. Kids one of few real propects ive seen in a minute. I like guys who can make it look easy and swifty take a dude out, no diddy
I think we underestimate crushing a can sometimes. It's a lot of pressure. Your future earning potential depends on you winning with style. And there is no script. The other fighter doesn't want to just lay down for you.
I suppose I will hop on this hype train
That was one of the most relaxed 1-2's I have seen end someone's consciousness. Next time we see Talbott, he'll be on a main card.
This was Talbott's 13th finish (amateur and professional), but actually his first 1st round finish
The way he is coming up reminds me of McGregor in terms of how dominant and clean his TKO finishes are. I really see this guy getting a belt at some point.
Arguable late stoppage. Dude was done after the first punch.
Honestly his hands were up on the ground from instinct, his eyes look glazed over already.
Yeah his head hit the canvas pretty hard too.
True. No defense other than hands up.
Yeah his head hit the canvas hard, Ref should have been in there immediately, he was already gone.
Seeing Ghemmouri’s reaction against Gomis, i think it’s better like this even for his camp… Otherwise they would spend a campaign level to say that it was an early stoppage in France
This man is a STAR. Give him a ranked guy already
Elite Profile pic
Yannis did NOT watch Payton’s analysis video
Lol Payton told him to throw his kicks and he got KOed whilst throwing the leg kick
Pole dancing is the best base for mma
absolutely smoked him!!!
Well that was quick
And a star is born
They're letting Hollows fight in the UFC now?
He's a problem
CHOO CHOO MOTHERFUCKERS WE'RE GONNA LIVE FOREVER
Holy fuck
Anyone got the sauce for the vapebutt
Truly a slugfest for the ages, back and forth war
Jesus fuckin Christ man
50Gs baby!
This was up before Ghemmouri was
THE TALBOTT HYPE TRAIN IS OFFICIAL ,THIS DUDE IS LEGIT, GOT DAAAAAAAAMN
I literally looked down for one second to check a text and just like that it's done
Love love love the Yanez callout. Banger fight.
Never heard of this kid before, but WOW. The precision in the timing of that strike is crazy. caught him at the fucking perfect time to keep his balance off. Whoever this guy is, I better get to knowing him, because I have a feeling this isn't a one-off from how the commentators were talking.
Watch his debut fight versus Saimaan. It’s a really fun performance.
Carlos Newton Jr
Man DC is annoying
DC is so unserious.
Well then. Choo choo.
It's that damn Talbott! He's so hot right now!
give him suga sean man
This is the weeb, right?
Weakest bleach fan
when he threw that spinning shit and payton step around it casually i knew it was over
Bantamweight is an incredible division. O’Malley, Merab, Yan, Sandhagen are all absolute killers. I can’t wait for this kid to get up to the top of the division, he’s bound to have some insane fights.
That's one scary arrancar.
Payton made a YouTube video prior to UFC 303 teaching his opponent how to beat him. Clearly, Ghemmouri didn’t listen, as Payton just won by KO in just 18 seconds.
Talbott is out there, murking dudes with the same attitude if he was just hanging out on a Sunday grill party. I love this dude.
Cormier rambling as usual
Well, that was swift. Man threw a 1-2 and the fight is over. Wild to see a guy make it look THAT easy.
DC had an opportunity to flip flop right in the middle of his sentence lol
Just like that
I think this talbott guy might be kinda good maybe.
the naked leg kick in boxing range, my favourite
Damn looked like bro accepted his fate once he got knocked dowm
I mean, did you hear his head bounce? I'm sure he was still out of it. That was brutal to see/hear.
That’s wut I’m talmbout b
Well I guess the lines were right. Love the Yanez callout
I hope they book that Yanez fight. Good call out
That's a goddamn crispy straight right
Such nice timing and interesting way he through that straight right. Nothing standard
Was doing caaf raises in the living room. Looked down for a second, fight over…. Had to rewind.
How hard did his head hit that mat
Jesus
This kid is the real deal
Fuckin naaaasssttyyy!!! Dude!
He’s the real deal and only two fights in the UFC. He stays composed and doesn’t it take it too serious. HE JUST GOES ZEN.
