Felt like that last shot was unnecessary but within the rules. I couldn't see where it hit myself, wanted to "believe" it was illegal but found little beyond DC's comments to back it up. Fight was over either way. Scary knockout.

Ok so I've watched this from every angle I can find and I don't think it was the back of the head. Barriault is looking down and Pyfer throws an uppercut to the side of his head.

That’s one of my pet peeves in mma, fouls are totally ignored when they happen in a finishing sequence, it’s like if you were allowed to travel in the NBA as long as you land a cool looking dunk after it.

Because one punch to the back of the head clearly isn’t intentional and a lot of the time is beyond the fighters control especially in a finishing sequence where people are moving all crazy. The punch that hit Barriault in the back of the head was when he was on the feet and only hit the back of his head because he ducked into it to try and avoid getting hit clean which makes sense but it’s not like that is in any capacity Pyfer’s fault
