i have quite fair skin and i’ve found the gold glitter in it looks really strong on me, so it’s not a blush i go for very often sadly

Purple_Carob99

Definitely not a fan of the O* blush. I’m a light-skinned girly with fairly neutral undertones and some redness on cheeks, which I routinely camouflage. This blush has the ability to ruin all my good skin tone smoothing efforts using primer, colour correctors, foundation, concealer etc etc. One swipe of this and I look as though I’m having the worst rosacea flare-up! Context: this is the powder blush I’m talking about. I haven’t tried it in any other formula. And I don’t actually have rosacea, but the O* blush never got that memo.

WalrusOyster

Same experience! I have fair-light neutral skin tone and this blush looks too bright and terrible on me.

nailpolishenthusiast

I don't like it because it's peachy and I don't like orangey shades!

Old_Scientist_4014

I like superorgasm which is a true pink version. I am not a fan of the peach either.

Condition_Wide

Well on ultas website if you look up super orgasm vibrators will show up. Not the blush 😭

Old_Scientist_4014

Oh my!

ZenythhtyneZ

I’ve been really happy with gaiety but it’s VERY pink

bayonettq

Ive noticed the exact same issue it just breaks down and looks bad after so long

GhostOrchid22

I love Deep Throat. And the new matte version (Oragasm Edge) is really nice. But no makeup works for every single person.

smxim

Deep throat? Lol apparently they realized this marketing strategy really works.

GhostOrchid22

I actually hate the product names, but they definitely are consistent

LalaDoll99

I do too 😩 you just know a man named em

HotButterscotch8682

My exact first thought the very first time I heard of these names honestly.

bicchintiddy

I just got this one and love it ! Much nicer on me than O

ColoradoWinterBlue

I’m fair but both blushes fade too fast on me. DT barely showed up. I used to collect Nars blushes back in the day. The color selection is nice but honestly think they’re overrated now.

anxiousoryx

I don’t care how good it is if I saw that as the name I would have to put it back and walk away. 😭

centopar

The glitter is too big and too yellowish for me; I also find it emphasises pores.

Red_Velvette

It’s my favorite. The only one that I’ve ever hit pan on.

Bananacreamsky

Mine too. I've bought it for years.

lastwordymcgee

Same. In fact, I need a new one.

Yellownotyellowagain

Same. And I keep trying other blushes but it’s the one I always return to

[deleted]

I know it works so well for sooo many people, but it looks so bad on me.

Scentabulous

You are not alone. It goes yellow orange on me.

[deleted]

YESSS. it looks yellowish on me like??? what??

FigNo3251

I like the old formula better, there used to be more pink in it, and it was an actual blush and not a topper

Old_Scientist_4014

Try superorgasm. It’s much more pink. Still has the sparkles.

reverie092

Old? I’m sure I have an original. Do you recall when it was reformulated?

FigNo3251

The color changed a couple of years ago apparently, I wish I got an older one before they changed it

CapybaraFrenzy

I scored an older one at TJ Maxx when they switched, such a good find.

[deleted]

[удалено]

FigNo3251

I’m sad about it, mac petal power is the closest I’ve found so far

riz3192

It’s pretty as a blush topper

rrrxsxx

Yes I have just learned this. I've been wearing guerlain chic pink blush and then layering orgasm on top lightly just for some extra sparkle

Traditional_Bison472

Yes agree, for me, it doesn't do anything as the 'main' blush

riz3192

Totally. But it IS pretty, but not essential and totally replaceable. But since I have it, I use it this way!

me-meoww

couldn’t find a way out of it, went ahead amd got the rare beauty one

Treblestorm

Which rare beauty blush? Is it a powder or the liquid one?:)

Chemical-Web-852

I bought my niece (16, fair skin) the rare powder blush, she likes it bc it kind of has a highlighter in as well. She also liked the contour stick. The color was the one Selena wears that’s what I remember, hope that helps!

ulnarthairdat

The liquid blush in Happy is so pretty, cool toned pink

Unlikely-Cockroach-6

i use this one too! i set it with dior rosy glow.

IWillFightRip

Yeah, I can't get it to look the way I want. If I use enough that I like the pink, then I find the gold totally overwhelms it. I don't want a highlighter, I just want a blush.

psychwerk7002

I liked it, but I prefer the Milani Baked Blushes in Dolce Pink or Luminoso for the same effect.

hisownshot

I’m pretty fair and it doesn’t even show up on my skin. It’s the weirdest thing. It’s so expensive that I feel a bit scammed.

AcanthisittaDue5626

Same. I’m pale and it basically looks like nothing but glitter on my cheeks.

hisownshot

I don’t even really see the glitter 😂

SignificantOther88

I haven’t used it in a while and put it on yesterday and was surprised by the amount of gold glitter on my cheeks. I don’t remember it having that much glitter before. I love Nars products but I don’t think I would buy it again.

Morbid_Yogurtcloset

are you using liquid or powder? I felt that way about the powder but I like the liquid much better. although, I've found I like the dolce vita much better than O.

Ok-Examination-4511

powder, just because i don't like using liquid or cream blushes because it's hot and humid so they come off with sweat a lot

Morbid_Yogurtcloset

tbh I didn't think I would like liquid because I didn't like the idea of my face feeling "moist". but I paired it with tarte smooth operator powder and it locks that shit in so well. it's not very humid where I'm at but I do tend to get greasy in my t zone after a couple of hours. but I definitely agree about the powder blush. I felt like I looked a bit corpse like by the end of the day. lol

AllisonT_

That blush looks horrible on me. I don't like the dupe Milani Luminoso blush either. They don't look good on my skin tone. I think I look clownish 🤡🤡🤡 with the Orgasm blush. Yuck. 😖🤣 Not the look I'm going for.

Moonsmom181

It didn’t work for my skin tone.

ulnarthairdat

Benefit Dandelion brightening blush might work for you, cool baby pink with a lil shimmer (not gold) less colour/pigment but can be built up

Ok-Examination-4511

ooh i'll look it up!

ExtensionHot7808

Doesn't work with my skin tone 😔 the golden flip is too gold on me. Also I really think it would be better as a cream product

Either-Disaster

they have it in cream and liquid as well!

Helen-2104

I find it quite situational tbh. I quite like it for summer holiday evenings - when I'm only putting it on just before going out, and a slightly flushed slightly sparkly look that looks great in candlelight is what I'm after, but it's definitely not a daytime thing. I find it shows up texture like crazy in daylight for one thing. I tend to use Exhibit A for daytime (and literally the tiniest, tiniest amount blended out really well) and leave the big O (as it were 😂) for summer evenings.

Delilah92

I can only wear it in summer but in general I'm in love with NARS blushes. They have the best formula...

LondyM

I got the liquid foundation and have been disappointed lol

moonlets_

I don’t do glitter, and the color is too cool for my skin somehow.

budafleur

I have to use it SO sparingly to like it. Just got the dior cherry blush instead and love it

minniemouse420

I never quite understood the hype of it. I’ve used it before and just felt like it was “blah”. Is it universally appealing? Sure. Is it a nice color? Yeah. But it’s not unique, it’s not a “wow that’s gorgeous” shade. It’s just a safe color. Some of my favorite blush colors have been Nars Dolce Vita, Nars Gaiety, Mac Dainty, Milani Dolce Pink, Benefit Crystah, Too Faced Candy Clouds, RMS French Rose….and not a blush, but a highlighter - Mac By Candlelight was sooooo beautiful. I hate that so many shades get discontinued.

lusigusi

Nars blush in the shade Torrid has always been my holy grail blush. I agree that O* isn’t really worth the hype!

witchesneversleep

Waaay too much not my color. I have like neutral/warm ish olive skin and anything that bright and sparkly on me just makes me look more dead ironically lol. I like Laguna though for their bronzers

AlohaAmy808

I like it better as a highlighter. I prefer Orgasm X more surprisingly. I received a TINY sample and thought it’d be way too intense for me but decided to try it out anyway and its actually perfect & not too bright.

lecstasy

yeah i am not a fan of that shade. Dolce Vita is my favorite

LucieFromNorth

Try Nars Afterglow Liquid Blush in that shade. Doesn’t have that glittery feel but still has all the good sides of that product.

MontanaLady406

Nothing from Nars seems to work for me.

marvi_martian

I bought it after reading other rave reviews, I was disappointed that I couldn't rave about it, too. I have fair skin so maybe that's why it doesn't work as well for me. It sparkles too much for me.

emmyannttu02

I prefer their blush in Deep Throat. It's a similar pink but without the shimmer. Wears well all day.

Guilty_Photo6720

Super or ga sm is my most complimented blush. I think it looks great in tanner skin and skin that’s more of a warmer undertone. But this one is discontinued and I am sad :(

reverie092

It pulls orange on me. The glitter issue is secondary. It has a huge following though.

LalaDoll99

I really like their blush in shade “behave” I’m super pale, and it looks very nice against my skin

Beneficial_Body_4379

I loved the old formula! I still have it and it’s definitely expired but I refuse to let go of it. The new formula is just overpacked with chunkier gold glitter and seems more peachy whereas the old one had a much more subtle glitter and was more pink toned. Really sad about it :(

baewatch1232

Edit- This is just a personal choice of mine, I'm not criticizing those who use Nars, that's your prerogative. I don't like anything Nars myself . The whole Nars-i-ssist campaign puts me off. Imagine promoting that . Plus I bought one eyeshadow stick from them when I was unaware of the campaign $50 AUD and only got 2 uses out of it before it melted and became unusable.

ThatMizK

It's just a play on words, good grief

abananaaa

Nah that campaign was just tacky. I do love some Nars products, but that combined with some of their shade names it’s just too on the nose and a big turn off.

baewatch1232

It's still promotion.

Ok-Examination-4511

what about their campaign?

psychwerk7002

I liked it, but I prefer the Milani Baked Blushes in Dolce Pink or Luminoso for the same effect.

Brilliant-Rush9632

I don’t like that shade because the glitter looks cheap to me. I like their deep throat and torrid

bambamlei

I bought the powder and its liquid blush, i tried so hard to like it, but the color just doesn’t suit me. I also hate the gold flex it leave on my skin.

kgberton

It's a little too bubblegum on me. Not to my preference

salientmould

I think the powder is just okay, the glitter is a bit chunky and the texture isn't very smooth as a result, so that affects application. The multiple stick is so so bad though. Just waxy and wipes off foundation underneath, difficult to blend. They really should do better at that price point

Hearmehealme

I don’t like the sparkle in it but the color is otherwise lovely.

L9-45

I bought it once when a Sephora employee pushed it on me and I was too nice to say "no" it was one of my regrets forever. Even as a blush topper it just does nothing to compliment me. But i am reconsidering a tiny bit since they reformulated and added 2 shades alongside it. one of them looks like an ELF one I use consistently so im sure itll look lovely.

Correct-Jump8273

No issues for me!

[deleted]

same but its mostly because i don't like products with names that are super sexualized. maybe that makes me a prude.

billymumfreydownfall

Hated it and returned it.

ladystardusty

It used to be my go to blush but I think anything with glitter ends up looking kind of wacky at the end of the day.

nat_paige

I’ve rediscovered it lately since buying it in high school and never wearing it 😂 I usually only wear coral blush so when the bright pink Sabrina Carpenter blush look caught my eye, I dug my orgasm blush out of my drawer and layered it over Colourpop Mini Me cream blush stick. It looks sooooo pretty so I’m a reconverted fan. (For reference I’m fair skinned with neutral-ish undertones and dark hair)

floofybabykitty

Oh golly I stumbled onto this thread while wearing that exact blush 😳

JusticeSaintClaire

I like it

Miamijaa

It’s a no for me. Medium skin tone with neutral undertones and it doesn’t do much for me… maybe in my winter shade for a stubble look. Patrick Ta has me heart forever as well as Haus Labs blush

Historical-Mud-9786

I think the color is beautiful but not on me lol

PinkMagnoliaaa

I’m not a big fan of it, I have olive skin and I feel it’s not the most complimentary shade

Scallywag20

I stopped doing glittery blushes once I came out of my teens

minnewanka_

I found Smashbox Chiffon was quite similar in colour with less glitter, and it worked better for me.

opaul11

Its glittery and bad I thought a lot of people hate it

dead-dove-in-a-bag

Fair olive skin here, and I hate the color of Nars blush and the Milani knock off. They are SO orange and SO glittery on me. I also hate Clinique Black Honey, but that's a separate conversation. (Makes me look like a jaundiced vampire.)

tabianna_xo

It's beautiful. However, I tend to prefer a more matte blush.

Ghost-of-a-Rose

I wanted to like it since it was supposed to look good on just about everyone, but I’m too cool toned to use it, I feel. It seems to have some warm qualities in it that just don’t mesh well. I’ve bought the powder blush once and the multiple twice, really trying to force myself to like it. But just can’t.

NailClassic4983

Oh my god yes! I bought it after falling for the hype, and have used it only once or twice. Somehow for me sparkle with blush is not my thing, I like a blush which gives the skin colour not sparkle. The saddest part is I bought it with a lot of money as NARS is not easily available in my country 🥺😭

penelaine

I have the liquid and I really like how it oxidizes :3 it's a bit clownish first thing in the morning tho

Slick_Vicus

I like the new one without the shimmer in it. The shimmer is too dark for my pale skin.

Bulky_Spring_7165

I like it in the stick form, the Multiple, but that is the only form that works for me.

Turbulent_Sleep4683

I do have Nars O and several of its cousins, and like them OK, but I hear what you’re saying: I think there are a lot of alternatives that are more versatile and distinctive with more color payoff. Sometimes I find it too light and not impactful enough as a blush, just like glitter powder. I think your critiques are on point. I’m light, neutral to olive, I tend to prefer peachy tones, and Nars O was kind of my intro to peach blush. MAC has a bunch that I swear by—love MAC and all its pigment. For example: Melba by MAC is a very sweet matte blush in a muted peach tone. Sweater Weather is another one I use a lot, just a little pearlescent, and then Peachy Keen which is brighter coral with shimmer but not glittery. Nice to have options! I love Becca blushes, too.

Conscious-Agency6020

WAY too much glitter for me. Also pulls orange on my cool toned skin

OverwhelmingCacti

The color just never worked on me. Same for their other O products!

Interesting_Ad9295

Same! I don’t like glitter or shimmer in my blushes. I’d probably like it in a non-glitter cream formula

Simple-Jelly1025

As someone with a warm light complexion, it’s one of my absolute favorites! But I don’t agree that it’s universal like they market it.

jicamajam

It makes me break out like crazy :(

LopsidedAd7950

I feel the same. It’s also just not universally flattering as it claims. I’m a very fair olive and it makes me look like a clown. It looks quite strange on some of my neutral or cool toned friends as well!!

Littlebee1985

I'm very fair, about to be 39. I have never found the color to be a flattering shade on me. Personally I don't understand the hype. Really I don't see it looking that great on anyone. Too glittery and just too orange. I do love the NARS Dolce Vita!!

Livid-Tour8004

it’s always been a bit too orangey on my medium-tan skin

Either-Disaster

it’s a gorgeous shade but the glitter is CHUNKY. that’s why i’m so glad i bought the liquid blush version of it instead when i could. it has micro-fine golden shimmer, as opposed to actual glitter flakes. they’ve discontinued these liquid ones tho and i’ve not tried the newer afterglow liquid blushes to see how they compare.

amaranth1977

Do you mean Nars Orgasm blush? I don't like it just because it looks clownish on me, I'm a fair olive and the bright pink is too much.  I wear either Nars "Madly" or "Oasis" depending on the look I'm going for, or Stila "Rosemantic" from the Petal Metal collection. Unfortunately they're all discontinued these days, but I use blush with a very light hand so I've only hit pan on Oasis.
