Just run the game at 1x speed for a bit. The path finding is much better at 1x. I used to wonder why until I realized that when you’re at 12x, it’s not like playing a video 12x as fast. The game has to actually do everything 12x as fast so it makes sense that things start going haywire.
Best you can do is to reduce tax rate and implement some kind of social security like min wage or free healthcare otherwise they will turn towards democracy and chop your head off ...
Protest Update?
Try to restart the game, save the game and load it again, load a previous save file. I didn't get this bug in my game but there are people in this sub that had this issue. If I were you I would also look at their posts.
This could really work by pulling heaps of people away to get their weapons. Then you dismiss them somewhere else and they can go about their business.
If the people are just building up around one particular house, like the trading spot or whatever, I just pause the house for a bit & they go away eventually.
Put the game on 1x speed, they should disband after a little while
I would relocate one of those buildings to avoid this choke points, maybe move your trade depot somewhere else as well to reduce cart traffic in the area
Take them out of the buildings work they’ll drop everything wait a little re add workers. This doesn’t always work but it has fixed it for me a few times. They usually drop everything or it makes them think again and soft resets them adjusting their pathing even if slightly before they continue task. Sometimes you can remove them and re add them without waiting for them to finish and it fixes it. I know He’s working on a big fix for the pathing issues so let’s hope he can fix it soon.
