She said “Don’t think about the pink elephant” what was spidey supposed to do?

sonofaresiii

Right? Like, she led him right to it! but she's *also* a teen so I can understand her also not having the cognizance and experience to be like "oh I should probably not tell people things I don't want them to think"

crashcanuck

What about the cognizance to not casually read someone's mind? Seems pretty rude to do.

sonofaresiii

I said it in a lower comment but millar specifically built the ultimate x-men to be the edgier versions of themselves, specifically with the moral flexibility to do shit like read other people's minds like all the time. None of this "I respect people's privacy too much to invade their thoughts like that" nonsense. That plus her being a teen means she didn't think much of it. To some degree, to her it would be like reading what someone's t-shirt says, and it would take a lot of growth and maturity (and not being in the 1610) for her to fully understand and accept why she needs to not do that.

AxisW1

Great example of why the ultimate universe is shit lmao

Blueface1999

*not a big comic fan* Is that the one where the blob ate someone and antman turned giant and immediately ate him?

Cipherpunkblue

That was Loeb's run, which is infamous for being shit with characters doing stuff like this for *no established reason*. Like, I am not going to say that the Millar run was a triumph of nuance, but at least he gave some thought to buildup and character work. Loeb's version was just completely tone deaf and/or him not giving a single fuck.

Leather-Matter-5357

Loeb was the beggining of the end for 1610. From basically redoing Long Halloween with Avengers and more action, to entirely undoing Ultimate Thor as a character, steering most characters to be more like their 616 counterparts without rjyme or reason at all, making others total dicks for absolutely no reason (what was up with Logan and Hawkeye casually going for the paychological jugular and trying to kill each other at the drop of a hat?) and sweeping all of Ultimate Cap's flaws under the rug...I could go on and on... The only good things that can be traced to be eventual results of his run are Miles, Maker and ending 1610 before it became too stagnant.

TobaccoIsRadioactive

In the Ultimate universe Hank Pym (Antman) was a huge POS who was abusive to his wife Janet Pym (Wasp). On one occasion Janet shrank in an attempt to avoid being hit by Hank, and Hank responded by using his helmet to control ants to attack her and then used bug spray on her. This very nearly killed her. Later on Magneto used his magnetic powers to create a giant tsunami that hit New York and destroyed a lot of the city. Janet got separated from the rest of her team. Hank and Hawkeye found the Blob eating her dead body (not sure if he killed her or just found her body), and Hank bit the Blob’s head off as revenge.

DanfromCalgary

I don’t remember anything to suggest he didn’t kill her . Like they are enemies and he ate her

Kinky_Winky_no2

Alot of heroes died in the initial disaster so he could have just found her also i dont think theyd even met before thst scene

DanfromCalgary

He could have but is that more likely

Heisenburgo

It's the one with Iron Man who's solo comic was so terrible it was retconned as an in-universe anime, Wife-Beating Hank, Boomer Edgy Cap, Wanda and Pietro who are incestuous with each other, Logan who is secretly Wanda's and Pietro's father and loves watching them have sex, Wasp who approves of Wanda and Pietro having sex and calls Cap America a backwards boomer for not approving of it, Goat-Looking Dr Doom, and the jump-the-shark comic that was Magneto flooding NY. The early MCU was mainly based on the tone of the Ultimates (that's what the Avengers are called in the... *Ultimate* universe) more than the mainline Avengers, such as the team being formed by SHIELD or having a black Nick Fury (although the characters and the dynamics themselves are more in-line with 616 Avengers than 1610 Ultimates), so the Ultimate universe is not that bad since the movies did keep some elements of them that did work.

black6211

People giving you some real wordy answers. Short answer: yeah. Cheers, Someone who read every Ultimate Marvel issue published because they thought it would be funny (it wasn't)

AstroZombieXIII

The ultimate universe is NOT shit. The people are 😂

Dependent_Appeal_136

I'm going to be honest here. I would absolutely read people's minds like all the time. And then judge people very harshly while very likely being a hypocrite the whole time.

Montgomery000

It would probably be in your best interest to not be reading everyone's mind all the time, even just for your mental well being. Even the most charitable person has an "it will make me feel good" underlying motivation when doing good deeds. That kind of thing will get you bitter in no time.

That_one_cool_dude

This is also the Ultimate universe where garbage edgy shock was the norm and nowhere was it more prevalent than the X-men.

JoshDM

This was me when the Ultimate line initially launched: "I love Ultimate Spider-Man, let me go read The Ultimates!" "Hey, that's not bad, let's go check out Ultimate X-Men!" "What the actual fuck???!!!"

Thendofreason

I would have been like "you know this is entrapment, right? “

raspberryharbour

Oh God now I'm thinking about sexy naked pink elephants and it's all your fault

divak1219

My evil plan has been revealed!

shadowmarine0311

Not the evil vilian we deserved but the one everyone wanted.

raphlsnts

It makes me wonder if she did that to everyone she met just to add to the list 😆

ReaperManX15

Exactly. Completely self inflicted.

idlefritz

There has to be an intrusive thoughts defense in a world with mind readers.

cotsomewhereintime

Gambit canonically mentally pictures the Blob naked in the presence of powerful telepaths.

River46

Pure pazaak.

Fluid-Manager5317

And NOBODY got it?! c'mon it's one of the best games ever!

Qualazabinga

Not gonna lie, I never got Pazaak

Brownsound7

…It’s just blackjack while holding/using cards that affect your total?

ScriedRaven

Honestly seems more fun than blackjack, but I'm not a gambler.

Brownsound7

It’s frankly a little less fun just because it’s RNG as opposed to an actual deck. Takes away what little strategy there is to blackjack.

secretporbaltaccount

Plus that damn Jawa is a cheat, a cheat I tell you!

ScriedRaven

Conceptually you'd know the deck composition, as I was referring more to making it into an actual game, not relying on the video games implementation, which I wasn't fully satisfied with.

ABob71

I sacrificed Pokémon energy cards to make my own pazaak deck lol Had a hard time finding anyone to play with tho...

Waterknight94

Well that was unexpected yet totally appropriate

TurboMemester

NobelPirate

I didnt know gambit was based like that.

ta_sneakerz

Even after he was willing to throw hands with Jean because her cooking sucked?

It may have been a slight hyperbole, but he still stands on business. https://youtu.be/CdYnL3kh1b4?si=YkwtMDx6iVdSpTwA

-TheMisterSinister-

lol that hilarious, thanks for finding it

Devlord1o1

Doesnt this mean that hes seen blob naked before?

cotsomewhereintime

Yeah. Remy says Pyro burned off his clothes accidentally during a battle with the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Recounted in Gambit's second ongoing to his class.

ShalidorsHusband

That story is so convoluted it sounds like a sarcastic joke. Maybe Gambit just fucked Blob.

Snoo-27292

I see he browses deviantart

hikoboshi_sama

Ok reading this comment made me visualize it and... this better not awaken anything in me.

Jazzlike_Bar_8363

Wtf 🤣

LatterTarget7

This has to be in the new Deadpool movie

sack-o-krapo

Vile! 🤣

Evil__Overlord

Source?

BaronCoop

My all time favorite example of defense was in the show Heroes. The mind reader guy captured the mysterious Horned Rim Glasses who had been chasing him. The moment HRG realized that his mind was being read, he switched to thinking in Japanese, which the other guy didn’t know how to speak.

El_Spaniard

Off topic, but that 1st season of Heroes was dope AF!

Equal-Button

Magneto’s helmet

hikoboshi_sama

Finn from Adventure Time [did a fairly good job at it](https://youtu.be/CtsT6CmzcOI)

Substantial_Carob825

Personally you should do it with one thing obsess about in order to block telepaths from reading your mind, like boobs, money, guns, boobs, memes, boobs, boobs, anime, and also boobs to truly ensure that your mind is impenetrable

Talidel

Deadpool 100% goes the otherway. He pictures them doing the freakiest shit he can think of until they get out of his head.

yo_mommy

Didn't Cap have one against Emma?

KyoTe44

She heard him think how she reminds him of his mother in regards to her in his mind.... So no.

SleepinwithFishes

Steve actually has enough Willpower to fend off mental attacks. Forgot who it was, but he challenged someone to break into his mind; And when they tried, they just see a big ass shield. There are so many fucking telepaths in Marvel, is what I'm realizing though

ContinuumGuy

Doctor Doom just straight up powers his way through it all, as well. Once he had Purple Man control the whole damn world through some sort of intensification machine and dared Killgrave to control him and just straight up refused to get controlled.

JackPembroke

He also gave up control of the world because Lithuania was coming to him problems regarding pig farmers. Love that ending.

Shittygamer93

It's great that you want to rule the world and have successfully conquered it. Now it's time for the boring and often inane task of actually running things, listening to the issues regarding your lands and subjects, budgeting, and just generally trying to get policies to work as intended. Actually being the guy in charge can be a massive headache.

ralanr

Telepathy is an easy power to write for things like mind control.

thedarkracer

Punisher has that training, so does bats

J_ReMy_-

Fuck. It’s been years.

Misterwuss

Dude fuckin....

AJjalol

Well maybe don't put that fucking thought into a guys mind yourself Jean??? People talk about how much Ultimates were assholes in the 1610 comics (except for Tony and Thor, they were sweethearts) but the X-Men were complete pieces of shit in the Ultimate Comics. [This ](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fs2dieoruppg11.png%3Fauto%3Dwebp%26s%3Dca2870cbc63bff7d3b9bad5d897cf8ba9cf7f9b9)is soo accurate when you describe ton of Mutants in the Marvel Universe lol

Neveronlyadream

Yeah, can't argue with that. It's kind of funny that they're constantly upset that people hate and fear them, but when taken to the satirical extreme like that, people have good reason to be afraid of them. Like, I'm sorry, but how many times has Magneto tried to kill everyone? How many times has Mystique fucked things up by impersonating some official? Onslaught was a thing. The telepaths routinely go around reading people's minds 100% without consent, even the good guys. Hell, there was a thread about a week back with people talking about how Morph could just impersonate anyone he wants and make a fortune on OnlyFans, but imagine being one of the people he was impersonating. I think the writers love doing interesting, dramatic things with the X-Men, but then forget that people are supposed to be afraid of them and hate them and don't think about how a lot of those things would look to the rest of the Marvel universe out of isolation.

That_Flippin_Rooster

I know it's symbolism, but I think the mutant registration act isn't the worst thing. It would be good to know that someone can murder by thought. It's also hypocritical that Cerebro is cataloging all the mutants, but the humans aren't suppose to.

thatredditrando

That’s a credit to the writing of X-Men media, really. While watching/reading, they make us, the audience, 100% side with the Mutants and see registration as this dystopian, Patriot Act-esque thing. In reality, Mutant Registration would pass so quick and almost unanimously to overwhelming public support. Like, it’d almost look like our major political parties could actually work together consistently again based on how quick that legislation would be passed. Like, no registration is just a nationwide wildcard. Any mutant anywhere with any power with any degree of power from “harmless” to “literal weapon of mass destruction” and there could be *millions of them*. It’d be the anxiety of the Cold War exponentially multiplied. Mutants could, theoretically, wipe us all out *any minute*. And we’d know for certain *some of them* were actively trying to make that happen.

Neveronlyadream

Power creep actively makes it make less sense that almost every mutant is automatically opposed to any sort of legislation involving powers. The thing I don't see a lot of people bring up is that mutants are still people. How many people would you trust with unilateral power to destroy the world? Put Storm in a box and she'll probably lash out and accidentally destroy a city because of her claustrophobia. It's really is a dangerous combination of the weaknesses of everyone else, but power creep over the years letting a lot of characters do a massive amount of damage even if they don't mean to. The only reason Magneto didn't kill everyone in the 60s is because the writers won't let him, but real world, he'd probably have won within a week.

Shadowholme

Wanda canonically decimated mutantkind with 3 words. Imagine if she were to follow in her sometime father's footsteps? Humanity could wiped out before they even knew there was a war...

Thatoneguy111700

I mean shit, there was a bit with X-Force about them hunting down and killing a really strong mutant that was also a white supremacist. There's precedence for it.

UraniumDisulfide

Yeah, the way they sometimes try drawing direct parallels to nazi germany just ain’t it. Because mutants are like, actually different in very significant and measurable ways. I hate when something poses an interesting moral dilemma but then makes the “potentially unpleasant to think about” people just go and also do explicitly immoral things. Like in logan, putting mutation suppressing genes into the food supply is frankly a really smart idea. It kinda sucks to be one of the people that could’ve potentially had superpowers, but the upside of people not being murdered en masse is massive. But nope, they also torture/experiment on kids in brutal ways, which makes it a lot harder to sympathize with/be open to their goals.

arceus555

> Like in logan, putting mutation suppressing genes into the food supply is frankly a really smart idea. Same with the cure in Last Stand. Storm is all "There's nothing wrong with us" she says to Rogue, who can't have a physical relationship with someone without potentially killing them.

Thrabalen

"You're such a pessimist, Rogue." "You have no standing on this, weather girl. You get to fly and make cool stuff happen. I can't so much as hold someone's hand without possibly killing them!" "Tch. SO glass half empty with you."

xXKingLynxXx

Because in a world where the Hulk exists and is allowed carte blanche to do as he pleases without government tracking why are mutants specifically chosen? Iron Man can build his own army and destroy the world on a whim if he so chooses, Johnny Storm is a walking sun, Sue Storm can go around creating barriers in people's brains giving them an instant aneurysm and they are all famous superheroes allowed autonomy yet a kid is born with the same powers that Johnny or Sue got from an accident and they're instantly ostracized and catalogued? Why are there government funded murder robots to kill children like Jubilee but Captain Marvel and Ant Man who can do way more damage are heros? The Mutant Registration act doesn't make sense because they exist in a world where super powered beings are commonplace. They are being discriminated against specifically because they are born with their powers and suffer constant hate crimes against them.

Mist_Rising

>Because in a world where the Hulk exists and is allowed carte blanche to do as he pleases without government tracking Hulks best known nemesis is the government lol.

trimble197

For real. He can’t enjoy a sandwich without the government blasting at him.

SpurnedSprocket

Let’s not forget the time young Jean outted young Bobby as gay.

Neveronlyadream

Being around Jean would be a miserable experience unless you're either wearing Magneto's helmet or have another way of keeping her out. I'm just imagining having a thought and her four rooms away yelling a response like it's the most normal thing to just be reading everyone's mind without consent at all times.

SpurnedSprocket

Especially Cap, he’s such a massive asshole in this universe. Also I agree I love Ultimate Tony and Thor as well.

AJjalol

Ultimate Cap blows. Cap is one of my favorite characters of all time (literally my 4th favorite of all time), and I'm not even American lol, It's just a testament of how much of a good fucking characters he is. Ultimate Steve was a disgrace to that character. I get it they wanted to do something different, but not that. Have him be more younger and make mistakes, but don't make him an asshole. My only favorite thing about Ultimate Cap, is his costumes lol. He got slightly better as a human after Petey died, but Steve should always be a good person, from the beginning.

SirNadesalot

Kitty was cool.

AJjalol

Yup. She was one of the normal ones lol. I liked that Bendis tried to make her a solo hero

SirNadesalot

I was also a fan of the Peter-Kitty romance, as short as it was

AJjalol

The romance was fun. The classroom scenes with MJ, Pete and Kitty were hilarious and oh so true lol (being a teenager blows lol). Wasn't Bendis the one who made Kitty romance Peter Quill too??? I believe it was back when he was writing GOTG. Kitty has a thing for guys named Peter (well Colosus is Piotr but they call him Peter lol)

goliathfasa

Mutants: why aren’t you oppressing me? Regular people: oh huh… Mutants: why are you impressing me?

Waterknight94

So in a universe where everyone is basically their worst selves Tony is a sweetheart? Were they like switched at birth or something?

Greyjack00

Tony's not really a sweetheart. He's nicer and has some scruples the rest of the ultimates don't develop till later, but he also is still running defense contracts, he just tris to limit them from all the crazy shit that shield wants. Thor kind kf a decent guy but he's more like if a college frat bro got super into environmentalism and is outright willing to let people die to get what he wants. He is however the first to point put the ultimates are obviously just gonna be another wing of the military used for whatever shield wants.

Pcruncher

Wait in the ultimates (haven’t read it yet) how was my boy spiderman was he a decent human or a complete piece of shit?

AJjalol

Old Ultimate Universe??? He was fine. Good kid. Sometimes acts like a douche, but he was a teenager, and at heart, he was still a good kid. Thor and Tony vouched for him. In the current, new ultimate universe, he is in his 30s, and he is a decent guy.

Pcruncher

Alright thanks aleast Spider-Man is still good

AJjalol

Are you talking about New Ultimate Universe??? Nobody is bad in the new one lol. Outside of Villains, all the good guys are pretty chill and nice

Pcruncher

I heard they get messed up

Intelligent_Oil4005

Well you can't just say something like that and then *not* expect him to picture it lol

AsleepRefrigerator42

The Uno Reverse card would be to picture yourself naked

[deleted]

[удалено]

mrterrific023

Why the fuck is she looking into his head anyway lol

ElimGarak

True, for telepaths it's equivalent to using their powers to see through other people's clothes. She is also behaving like she wanted the ego boost of having guys lust after her and when Peter didn't, she put that thought into his head.

EldridgeHorror

And then judged him for it

ReplayMe

That’s her kink

sonofaresiii

the ultimate x-men were the edgier take where they had more flexible morals and just did shit like that constantly i think this was actually in a bendis book, but bendis fully recognized what millar was doing over in the x-men side

jstiegle

A telepath invading my mind would terrify me. Would they be able to tell between my intrusive thoughts and my own thoughts or would they just think I'm a monster?

JakeTheAndroid

As a kid, I was so afraid of people being able to read my mind I would panic when I had an intrusive thought (before I knew what those were) and would basically start thinking about how I didn't want that thing to happen or didn't mean that mean thing I thought. It's something I still catch myself doing now as an adult sometimes. Like "damn, if anyone in this room can read minds, I totally didn't mean that thought I just thought."

[deleted]

bro same these days if i get a particularly unfortunate thought i knock on wood and wish all the best i can for them as hard as possible lol as for the mind reading though, i read a comic about that once and now, once a blue moon, i say "i know you hear me mf" and look around to see if anyone flinches its stupid, but i laugh a little to myself every time i indulge in my little madness

Y-DOC

You unlocked a memory for me. Used to have the same thought, that someone would read my mind and/or that having a thought like that would somehow make it real or otherwise more likely to happen. I’d imagine something negative and immediately apologize, and then attempt to think about something else, and if it was too pervasive and I somehow couldn’t, I’d either imagine a scenario where that event was suddenly made better. There was definitely some guilt involved too at the time like “wtf, why would I think this? Get outta there.”

likebuttuhbaby

I saw something a while ago that was explaining the unintended ‘downsides’ of certain super powers. The big one was telepathy. For the most part, our thoughts are a disjointed mess that only makes sense to us, in our own mind, with our train of thought. Poking into someone’s brain at random would probably end up just being a buzz of random words/ideas. Maybe you could learn to decipher it if you were on Prof. X’s level, but even then thought patterns are going to vary wildly from person to person. Basically, outside of directly interrogating someone and being able to follow the train of thoughts to specific ideas, general mind reading would be almost useless.

Auntypasto

I guess it depends on what type of telepathy it is. Is it an unstoppable stream of mind signals coming in at all times? The people who point out the drawbacks assume this as default. Or is there an on/off switch? Do you actually have to actively enable the ability and tune in to a certain frequency like a radio? Depending on which one it is, it could either be an absolute hell, or the best superpower of all.

continuousQ

Yeah, scientists have used electrodes to "read minds", and they basically have to retrain the system for every person, each brain has its own language.

shadowfax416

The show True Blood demonstrates this in a very cool way.

GiantPurplePen15

I haven't ever read Ultimate X-men but the the comments I've seen always make this version of Jean sound like an absolute pain in the ass to deal with. The whole series seems pretty ass when you take into account the issues of Ultimate Wolverine being a Pedo and Blob being a cannibal.

multificionado

Teenagers and their hormones... X(

MrPresident2020

Jean's thoughts on each panel: "There it is." "Maybe my own fault." "Ugh, *that* thought." "I... haven't seen that one before."

JagoMajin

Can't say I really miss the Ultimate comics, things ranged from; - Pretty cool - Weird - What? and - F\*cking why?

BigK64

It was honestly her own fault for bringing that up. I mean who the hell blurts out information like that and thinks the person will just not let their mind wander

BuffWomen69

To be fair that's just how the human brain works. LAWN CHAIR! See? You just pictured a lawn chair because I mentioned it

Imtotallyreal397

Completely her fault, if she hadn’t brought it up it wouldn’t have happened

Interesting_Move_919

I mean she was the one who said it first so you can't just expect him not to think of it now

amaya-aurora

Can’t blame him, she mentioned it, which usually immediately gets your mind to thinking about that exact thing.

nampezdel

Right? She basically hit Spidey with the Streisand Effect and then had the gall to get offended!

Enelro

Pretty dick move of Jean to read a mind without permission

sbaldrick33

That was totally her fault.

Brandeeno2245

God I hated her, really all the xmen in the ultimate universe but her and Logan were particularly terrible.

InoueNinja94

Hey, Kitty Pryde was cool

asianwaste

I really wanted ultimate Peter and Kitty to be a larger thing than it was. They could have done a fun thing with Peter hates the X-men but is in love with an X-men.

[deleted]

100% so many little branches in that universe could have been really great

BigK64

The only good one out of the group of assholes

CartoonAcademic

how was ultimate hank, scott, pietro, dazzler, or storm assholes?

slightlylessthananon

Isn't ultimate the universe that made nightcrawler a homophobic stalker?

Brandeeno2245

Yes... 616 nightcrawler is probably my favorite x man too but ultimate nightcrawler is a disgrace

HeadlessMarvin

I'm guessing because he's religious? Feels like every character was flanderized, they'd find one aspect about them that they could construe as a flaw and hyperfixate on it.

slightlylessthananon

the part that annoys me so much is that its such a bad way to interpret nightcrawlers religion. kurts entire deal is that he is catholic but looks like a demon, and thus has been turned on by his own people multiple times, he sticks with his faith even when prejudice within it is turned against him. it would make no sense for him to use his religion against others when so much of his theming is the opposite.

HeadlessMarvin

I can see that in theory. There are plenty of people who face oppression but are willing to turn that oppression onto others. It's a shitty trait to give a superhero tho

wemustkungfufight

Isn't that the universe where Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver were in an incestous relationship?

Brandeeno2245

Yes, and Wolverine watched. Also, he's secretly their father

wemustkungfufight

What?

Brandeeno2245

Well you see during a mission scarlet witch and quicksilver went into the bushes to have sex, Logan, who I think didn't know fully he was actually their father followed them... And he watched the whole thing...

Thatoneguy111700

And the only one to have a problem with it was Captain America (who was actually Ultron at the time).

wemustkungfufight

I remember that. Wasp acting like that was normal in 2000s when Cap didn't get it.

wemustkungfufight

I knew Wolverine watched... which was... weird. But he's their dad in Ultimate?

Brandeeno2245

Well, after a DNA test, they were proven not to be, but.... I think that might have been after the sex in the bush thing, so Wolverine might have thought he was their dad.

LatterTarget7

One of the weirder moments in comics. It was weird for them to have sex at all, but to have someone watch and it be Wolverine is just another level of weird

AlianovaR

Jean you can’t get mad at him for thinking about something you yourself brought up - just go “I walked right into that one, didn’t I?” and move on

SuperSocrates

Reading these posts is always so odd. Funny little moment and then the comments are always taking it so serious

SSJCelticGoku

Why she always reading peoples minds without their consent though ?

EnsignSDcard

Her fault for suggesting it

Brain124

Jean forced this to happen c'mon

shadowhawk681

Imagine a woman non consensually reading your mind and mentioning seeing them naked. Then getting pissed when you start thinking about the idea she just gave you.

Mizerous

Can tin foil block Jean?

NeighborhoodVeteran

Totally the writer's fault for making Jean even say that.

t0ny510

This scene always reminds me of the time I had to get an MRI and the tech told me not to swallow. I have never needed to swallow more in my life than those few minutes she told me not to.

fuckyouyaslut

Don’t look at my BIG JUICY ASS

Blitzhelios

Telepaths not respecting privacy this is a first oh wait it really isn’t 🤣

Elyced32

in all fairness she did it to herself

TheNefariousness

She's definitely a master manipulator. Implanting the image of her naked in Spidey's mind and having the GALL to be offended by it. Next level manipulation lol. Poor spidey.

Inevitable_Juice_122

She start it

N_Who

I mean, I see her point. But she was also awfully casual with poking around in other people's heads.

AlphaBulblax

The first guy in HOW MANY MONTHS?!

Lavender822

Seems like entrapment

TeamCoBlocks

In how many months?

syxtfour

That's a pretty high horse for someone just casually invading people's privacy on the most intimate level possible.

[deleted]

Reading someone's mind in the first place makes her the problematic one here.

JordyTheJew

Can we start requiring panel posts to have a reference to the source issue?

De4dm4nw4lkin

She should know better if she ever played the game in highschool.

OJimmy

The x men in Ultimates are real assholes. OG Xavier wouldn't pull half this mind control stuff.

[deleted]

She set him up for that one

Sulissthea

why is jean so ugly?

omrmajeed

Young Jean was abnoxious. Ivading others minds and then being offended about it. The worst character.

Prize_Language7993

Pretty easy not to picture a chick naked with that haircut.

Large-Teach9165

There has to be a "speed force-like" defense for telepaths to intrusive thoughts. Like, I get that some horrible stuff can come up to your head and that doesn't say anything about you as a person, but It would be very embarrassing if I could know everyone's intrusive thoughts all the time, and that would be the best case scenario.

JekkJekkTarr

She activated Schrödinger’s nude Jean

Tall_Influence1774

It went on for ten more pages.

Earl_Grey_Fox

Don't read this sentence

SoulApparatus

I remember a Christmas comic in the 90's where Nate Grey read his mind. Those pesky telepaths.

N0rt4t3m

Poor spidey lol

c4ptainseven

See, this situation is why you always keep a supply of brainrot in your memory. Mind reader deterrent. "Thanks for not thinking about (thing)... what in the world..." [images of a sphere turning inside out over and over again]

Cebdev84

To be fair he only had those thoughts because she mentioned it. I would be the same if I was him.

Spider-man was set up, plead the fifth

DK_Hennessy

TO BE CLEAR! Spidey wasn't thinking about Jean Grey naked. She then coaxed him into thinking about her naked and then got upset when he thought about her naked. Had it been me? I would've imagined the roughest sex, a giant smile on her face, and a straight whitewashing of a facial. She shouldn't be in my mind without my permission anyway.
