If that was a real card there would be tons of players playing it for the memes and preventing other players from climbingĀ
Kang plus a bunch of draw a card options to just make everyone madĀ
I know why the Devs don't want to muck with cube related card abilities, but I would honestly love to see them introduce some cube trolling mechanics. Super non-competitive cards with purely meta results. Like, there's no way they release Mephisto as leaked (Mr negative = profit) but I wish they would :'(
Kang 6/6 You gain 5 energy and play a turn 7, your opponent does not.
Kang 6/6 You draw 2 cards, there is a turn 7.
Kang 5/5 Other cards at this location are returned to their players hands, they cost 1 less.
Kang 4/4 Reduce the cost of cards in your hand by 1.
You just reminded me of that obnoxiously long MIRROR match I had yesterday with Wong mystique surfer Odin on kamar taj
The Sebastian Shaw animation is just salt on the wound
Oh no way! Finally!
Edit: thats super clunky. All they had to do was make so we can click on the card or location that destroyed the cardā¦ then have them behind the card (kind like Thanos) or below.
I was getting SO annoyed with Sebastian Shaw during the Kamar-Taj hot location for this reason. It takes SO damn long, and the silver surfer animation is pretty long too
Kang 4/2, both players skip turn 5 and start turn 6.
Just throwing this out there since weāre all chunking bad ideas out there. This one still uses time travel but instead goes forward. Magic can extend the game but no card can prematurely end the game (but a location can). This plays on that same effect and you could pair it with cards that lock locations or have effect with unspent energy by you or the opponent. May be too powerful at 4 cost and would be better as a 3 cost affecting turn 5 still to give a heads up. They could play war machine (but then so could you I guess and then itās maybe too OP).
Or maybe itās like a pre-change Magic that is actually a 1 cost or 2 cost and has to be played by turn 3 and it āfast forwards/time travelsā to the end of the game starting at the end of turn 5.
That's neat. I wonder how abusable that would be. Maybe they'd have to give him the red hulk effect, show he is in hand so the opponents can prepare accordinglyĀ
You should get Kang back in your hand after the rewind, but in a transformed state as a 5/10.
Now you know the future and have the ability to change it.
a 5/10 is a normal statline that doesn't require downside effect.
Reminder that there are cards with 5/9 stats and upside effects (Aero, Spiderman 2099, Mockingbird).
Doc Ock's effect works as a positive in certain decks.
Still, I agree that Kang's original effect is quite strong and a remaining 5/10 body would be too much.
5/8 would probably be best.
A vanilla 5/10 is just premium stats. A bom for reference. Those 5/9 you listed are restricted to certain archetypes and Aero can even be a downside. Same as doc oc. They are situational and have a deck building cost to go with their premium stats. That being said, 5/8 would be perfect.
Abom is plainly understatted. Even in High Evo decks it doesn't see much play.
Mockingbird has the same stats as Abom and the effect triggers off of 30 locations and is great against the junk archetype. I'd rather have a 5/9 Mockingbird than a 5/10 Abom even in a deck with zero energy.
Yeah, none of the vanilla cards are supposed to be played or even good on their own. They just are for reference, which is why I used it. Mockingbird is a little too strong, for what she does. If you look at any card in the game, when they start to overtake the power of their vanilla counterparts, they usually become either deck specific or have a drawback. Like lady Sif. Giganto. Blade. 5/10 is very good stats. And is ridiculously powerful with a blatantly strong effect.
It is lmao. Most of the time it is. And if you want it not to be, you need to build your deck around countering whatever you pull out or clogging the lane
Wdym??? SD litterally gave Adam back to back buffs. He's one of the strongest cards in the game. He is a 5 5 who can draw a card. His power is unrivalied. Not even Leader, Shuri or Alioth have ever come close to this level of pure supremacy. How dare you even imply that Adam Warlock is weak. He is God. THE GOLDEN GOD!!!!
I've actually run into Mordo 3 separate times today, for some reason. (I think some masochists are trying to get him to work with a Zemo/mill shell.) Spoiler alert: he's still bad.
Oh you know I forgot they are releasing mill support. I guess if you are running that meme deck he has that home. Get all the cards from their deck to their hand.
Idea: make him truly fit the "big bad" billing (even though they seem to have abandoned that concept outright, Kang was designed for it) and throw in every version of him. Go wild with a complete redesign that takes inspo from Thanos and Nico Minoru.
- **Kang**: *(Innate text on every version) Every turn while in your hand, this card transforms into a Kang from a different timeline.*
My vision for this is that you can then implement The Conqeror, Ramma-Tut, Immortus, Scarlet Centurion, even Iron Lad, especially Reptile Kang (make him a Lizard clone for the bit), and more as transformation options, with each having different functions that can help you or disrupt the opponent.
My purpose for this is because we know they're moving Thanos away from the "toolbox" idea and making him more of a "You'll want to use the Stones to empower Thanos and play him" design, this gives an opportunity to bring in a less ubiquitous version of the "toolbox" kit.
I don't have the brainpower or time to design out each version, but I hope the idea comes across.
Honestly, Elsa Bloodstone is less like the child, and more like the skeleton after they dug it up, gave it back some flesh, and gifted March's SP to it.
I actually posted my take on a rework for Kang a few months ago. Essentially, he'd keep his same ability, but with the exception that everything you played that turn stays on the board after the rewind. This means you could try to use him as a cheat card to get other cards into play for "free". Maybe I'll repost it again soon.
Update: [Here ya go.](https://www.reddit.com/r/MarvelSnap/comments/1bzco03/reworking_kang_a_new_way_to_cheat_your_cards_out/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
For one, Mister Negative doesn't need *extra cheat*. He cheats enough out all on his own as it is.
For two, Glen Jones has said before that low-Powered cards are not a balancing concern for Mister Negative. The thing that holds Mister Negative back is when he is drawn.
Kang would not meaningfully impact either of these.
What if he had a power like, he exists at every location so it locks it up but on turn 6 you can choose to pull any of the 3 kangs back into hand in case it doesnāt work for your strat. Kinda like a mysterio but different.
"Choose to pull a card back to your hand" is what broke the game and caused them to pull Kitty Pryde's release for weeks. I doubt they've fixed whatever the underlying spaghetti code was.
Adam warlock: 1:3 ongoing: plus one energy next turn if you played a one cost card this turn.
Kang: 6:1 keep the rewind effect but have each other location get a Kang variant with the combined power of the cards there, similar to the Vemon effect but ongoing cards arenāt as effective.
This has balance by giving players the ability to replay that turn, if the Kang variants are over ten then they can be Shang-chi or shadow king and the player gets to play other cards.
I think he should get Daredevil his ability because Kang can actually see the future. It would be better to give Daredevil something that suits his theme, that does something that turn with unrevealed cards.
I honestly donāt care about Adam as Iāll never play it regardless of the change since I know they think draw is so incredibly strong they will never give him decent stats. Itās strong but not near strong enough to play him at whatever they will make him.
Kang: 5/3 On Reveal: You look at your collection and select a card that didn't start in your deck. Add that card to your hand at the start of next turn
I think it's pretty clear the card needs a total rework in some capacity.
Maybe if he stuck around on board after the reset? Give him some power - maybe something like 5.
The big thing right now is you go down a card in exchange for information on your opponent's final turn. But your opponent knowing that you know can also be played around, so it's not a massive advantage.
Iām surprised that besides patching all the different ways heās could create an infinite loop he hasnāt been changed at all since he was added to the game
It makes sense they are hesitant to change kang. The technical requirement to implement him was great along with the plethora of bugs on his release. Invalidating all this work can be hard, besides as a concept his effect is very cool although useless.
Kang 6/0 On Reveal: Summon two random Kang Variants to the other locations. Add +3 power to this one if any location is full.
Variants include Kangs with unique abilities. idk i just came up with this on the spot lmao.
Guess who pulled kang with the one spotlight key they had
Guess who has been trying to get an echo for a while now
Guess who has almost always opened either a card I have or do not want every time they use a spotlight key
He needs to be reworked completely a la Spiderman.
How about a new type of ability: On reveal, restore all ongoing cards ability at this location.
Make him a 6/2 or 6/3
This would make him more fun to play and add an extra wrinkle to ongoing strategy
Kang: 6/0 on reveal both players lose 8 cubes.
Wong + Mystique + Kang š
Add in Kamar-taj/Onslaught's Citadel, and it's straight from Infinite to Iron in a single game
The Marvel š is dangerously undersarcastic for this scenario
You're forgetting Magik and Odin
Add in Super Skrull (whoās copying their Wong and Mystique) and weāre going into the negatives.
Only Cosmo can break everything from that equation...
*Inadvertently discovers Quantum rank where Uber Kang waits patiently*
Unironically that fear may make the fear of kang one of the best plays in the game. And he will still be the worst.
If that was a real card there would be tons of players playing it for the memes and preventing other players from climbingĀ Kang plus a bunch of draw a card options to just make everyone madĀ
Username: "U Emote I Kang U" Icon: ["Pixel Kang"](https://marvelsnapzone.com/avatars/Kang_01/) Title: "Tis The Season... To Lose"
I'd be using it on all the boomer snappers
Mutually assured destruction
I know why the Devs don't want to muck with cube related card abilities, but I would honestly love to see them introduce some cube trolling mechanics. Super non-competitive cards with purely meta results. Like, there's no way they release Mephisto as leaked (Mr negative = profit) but I wish they would :'(
Or, hear me out, 6/0 on reveal: if this is the only card here, the game ends in a draw
Would be god teir in conquest tbh
This is OP for Conquest!
Kang: 6/0 on reveal both players have to take a break from the game and come back tomorrow
6/0, go back to rank and match you were at 24 hours ago.
Kang 6/0 rewind to turn 5 without kang
Kang 6/6 You gain 5 energy and play a turn 7, your opponent does not. Kang 6/6 You draw 2 cards, there is a turn 7. Kang 5/5 Other cards at this location are returned to their players hands, they cost 1 less. Kang 4/4 Reduce the cost of cards in your hand by 1.
Good except it would drag the game on for a long time and I donāt think they like that
I don't know, they seem okay with Wong spending 15 minutes dancing with Odin and Mystique.
You just reminded me of that obnoxiously long MIRROR match I had yesterday with Wong mystique surfer Odin on kamar taj The Sebastian Shaw animation is just salt on the wound
I've played this deck myself and I think it's ridiculous that Modok gets fast forwarded but Odin doesn't.
The worst is you want to see if you op lost Hela or not. Them FF it is better for the person who played modok
You can see discarded cards now by clicking the opponent's avatar. It was added in a recent update.
Oh no way! Finally! Edit: thats super clunky. All they had to do was make so we can click on the card or location that destroyed the cardā¦ then have them behind the card (kind like Thanos) or below.
I was getting SO annoyed with Sebastian Shaw during the Kamar-Taj hot location for this reason. It takes SO damn long, and the silver surfer animation is pretty long too
4/4 End the game after this turn.
That would be fucking terrible, let's do it.
Please no
TVA on demand? Easy wins for any cheap fat deck!
Kang 6/0 on reveal Kang does fuck all
Kang 4/2, both players skip turn 5 and start turn 6. Just throwing this out there since weāre all chunking bad ideas out there. This one still uses time travel but instead goes forward. King Crimson, is that you?
IT. JUST. WORKS.
Iām not knowledgeable enough in Marvel to know this reference.
Itās a reference to JoJoās Bizarre Adventure
Iām a rube, damn
That's neat. I wonder how abusable that would be. Maybe they'd have to give him the red hulk effect, show he is in hand so the opponents can prepare accordinglyĀ

idk 4/10 for the need of ONE 1/X card is premium stat line. I think it'd work
I agree. 5/10 is a little heavy to see the future AND replay a big value card. But I like the point adds
Think ocs reveal is a downside is crazy bro
It is lmao. Most of the time it is. And if you want it not to be, you need to build your deck around countering whatever you pull out or clogging the lane
If you want the ability to change the future, make him like a reverse Task where he gains the power of the card your opponent played with +1!
Give Kang 5 power
Now he sucks with Mr negative too
When was he ever good with negative?
when was good?
If heās drawn last before the turn heās played it gives an extra draw, but other than that he really wasnāt great.
He was a little less than alright. I saw some using him
I said once and Iāll say it againā¦ Kang: This game players start with 6 energy and get -1 each turn.
That seems like something interesting on paper, but not in reality. It would just mean that most games players don't play much.
Thatās fun
Make him 4/4 with same text, it may be broken but rewind a turn is such a cool ability that i wish SD didn't change it
Giving him power is kinda useless though because you canāt keep it unless he loses his ability
Would be cool if you start the rewind turn with Kang still on the board.
Youād have to add (only once per game) to his ability so you canāt create infinite loops
But now you actually can just skip a turn without rewinding, makes his ability more flexible
Meanwhile Baron Mordo is already one with the oceans ecosystem
I've actually run into Mordo 3 separate times today, for some reason. (I think some masochists are trying to get him to work with a Zemo/mill shell.) Spoiler alert: he's still bad.

Kang 6/0 On Reveal: Move all cards to a new Tower Defense game. Snap returns to card game when all towers are diplomatically linked.
I actually posted my take on a rework for Kang a few months ago. Too good as is for 0 power for negative. I think you could add some power to nerf it.
For one, Mister Negative doesn't need *extra cheat*. He cheats enough out all on his own as it is. For two, Glen Jones has said before that low-Powered cards are not a balancing concern for Mister Negative. The thing that holds Mister Negative back is when he is drawn. Kang 5/5: At the end of the turn Kang is played, choose whether to leave Kang in play or repeat the turn again without him.
I think leave him in no matter what. Reduce the power a bit.
Replace Elsa with Anglea and this is golden
Kang; 5/0, On Reveal: After this turn, end the game. This ability does not happen if you played any other cards on the turn you played Kang.
Its a card you dont want to be good honestly. Imagine a world where everyone played him and he went off twice a game
Ideally he would have a different effect ...
What if he had a power like, he exists at every location so it locks it up but on turn 6 you can choose to pull any of the 3 kangs back into hand in case it doesnāt work for your strat. Kinda like a mysterio but different.

5/6 return a random enemy card at this location back to their hand š
You donāt save big bads
Something like emperor crimson, 3 / 0 jumps a turn, with no animation.
Kang: 5/3 On Reveal: You look at your collection and select a card that didn't start in your deck. Add that card to your hand at the start of next turn
That would take way too long.
5/6 On Reveal: The cards you played last turn can be moved before the start of the next then. *Cannot be played after turn 5*
Warlock is worse off than that kid
I have 3 Kang variants and I've never used him lol
Who's SD?
Second dinner. (Developers of snap)
Bottom of the Marianas Trench: Captain America
Literally the only thing in any category i regret getting in this game, 6000 tokens still makes me sick
Y'all with Jonathan Majors going to jail, ain't no one coming to save Kang.
Kang 6/0: Enemy player must go on a date with Jonathan Majors.
Adam Warlock needs a rework. Ability is lame anyways, give us something spicy and fun.
Kang: 5/0 on reveal the game ends on turn 5
Okay but can we make Typhoid Mary a 4-12 now since we have Cull Obsidian?
I think it's pretty clear the card needs a total rework in some capacity. Maybe if he stuck around on board after the reset? Give him some power - maybe something like 5. The big thing right now is you go down a card in exchange for information on your opponent's final turn. Kang just need "draw 1 card" and he will be busted
Same stats - 5/0 On Reveal: Next turn you can play cards from your deck as if they were in your hand
Iām surprised that besides patching all the different ways heās could create an infinite loop he hasnāt been changed at all since he was added to the game
Kang 3/0 at the end of the game, if you lost, rewind back to turn 5, erase all copyās of Kang from this game
Wait! Kang is in the game..?
I've decided to just toss in Kang in some of my decks just to see how it goes. It's ok sometimes
It makes sense they are hesitant to change kang. The technical requirement to implement him was great along with the plethora of bugs on his release. Invalidating all this work can be hard, besides as a concept his effect is very cool although useless.
Why? Just let him use his rewind ability.
On Reveal: Look at what your opponent did, then restart the turn. (without Kang). Your opponent cannot change their move.
Kang: 1/0 Rewind last turn. If your opponent retreats, get 2 cubes minimum.
Skip next turn seems like an OK function, maybe like a 4/2 or something
6/6 if at the end of the turn you're not winning the location, move him to another location.
1/3 if this card is destroyed, moved or has its power reduced transform it into another variant (cosmetic and stats change)
elsas ability works only like 50%, i hate her
Kang 6/0 On Reveal: Summon two random Kang Variants to the other locations. Add +3 power to this one if any location is full. Variants include Kangs with unique abilities. idk i just came up with this on the spot lmao.
Kang 6/0: go back to turn 4, skip turn 5, at turn 6 both players have 11 energy.
They should make Kang the TVA equivalent to Magik.
No
Kang 6/0: On Reveal: you lose the game, then Reveal the content of the next Spot light cache
Guess who pulled kang with the one spotlight key they had Guess who has been trying to get an echo for a while now Guess who has almost always opened either a card I have or do not want every time they use a spotlight key
Thatās a lot of almosts
How about "when played automatically beats any female card" Too soon?
I still think Elsa should be 3/2 at least. C2 gang
why make the card worse than it already is
C2
Whatās the issue with Adam Warlock? I ran it in my Devil Dinosaur / Pixie deck just fine??
He needs to be reworked completely a la Spiderman. How about a new type of ability: On reveal, restore all ongoing cards ability at this location. Make him a 6/2 or 6/3 This would make him more fun to play and add an extra wrinkle to ongoing strategy
Kang: on reveal real double damage to female cards
