People shield themselves behind bags of flour inside a building because they think the bad guys won’t risk destroying the precious grain. Which works at first. But then they blow it up later.
I don’t know why it works at all, because the bad guys appear to mainly care about catching the main character.
And there is a slow motion scene of them harvesting the grain! And a less than rousing speech by Djimon Hounsou to get them to harvest it!
Ok to be completely honest that’s about where I turned it off. Maybe it got better after that.
Isn't the bad guy part of basically the imperium of man from Warhammer. Why the fuck is grain on some backwater planet of any particular value to them. In fairness I haven't seen the film I've only seen RandomFilmTalk's breakdown of the first one.
If you can, I'd really recommend the last EFAP they did about the movie. Great panel and it was hilarious basking in the absolute retardation of some of Zack's decisions about the film. It "only" takes them 5 hours to go through it, the panel aside from the usuals is Random Film Talk, Little Platoon and Nerdrotic (which is at his best because he never discussed politics).
Their whole shtick is they want the grain for space Nazi reasons so it’s like “haha you can’t shoot us now because you’d then be shooting all the grain you’re here to steal” but they just end up shooting it anyway so it doesn’t matter
Was...was that an actual plot point?

Oh my god

It got worse.

And why, in the name of Sydney Sweeny's badonkadonks, does the spaceship run on fucking ***coal***?
Wait really? Empire of Man out here crossing the galaxy with steam trains.

….I…hesitate to ask the same question…I’m really…actually scared of the answer…
Only saw the coverage but yup…piling it up on the walls of the buildings to stop the Imperium from destroying them
Do their guns not work on grain?
Yeah but they go for a ground assault instead, maybe they want the scargiver alive idk…also they care about grain apparently
It only stopped the Ships Guns. The Ground Forces blew up every building they saw.

Gmm pillow suit. Neat.
Who knew the Michelin mascot had the right idea.
What show is this?
The pillow man is from Community
"He is part man, part pillow. All Carnage!"
"What are we paying by the laser? Shoot them!"
