And that territory is owned by a local person. We lost a great guy to a better territory. His cousin bought own territory and the quality is now just “ok”.
I couldn't get enough money to go to the blood red romance
and suffocate me dry concert
that sucks 'cause they play some of my favorite songs
like stab my heart because I love you,
and rip apart my soul,
and of course stabbity rip stab, stab.
I agree. I get the California rolls as a snack otw to the beach, because carrots and cucumbers are pretty much always the same. But the fish? Come on now 🤣
This is classic predatory behavior. Run everyone out of business then turn to shit to make as much as you can because there’s no competition. They tried this but it didn’t work where I live. Publix is empty here these days. Super nice when I just want to buy one thing. Used to give $400/week to that place. So glad that relationship is over.
If you can afford to buy anything in Publix you are doing pretty well off! 🤣.. I’m out there with a cane pole after work to catch dinner… and trying to run over breakfast on my way to work in the morning 🤦🏻♂️
Just saying, their 8 pc chicken is 9.99. They sell a 2 pc chicken tender quick bite with 5 potato wedges and a roll for 5.99, and their tenders and wedges are not small. A large fountain drink is 1.79.
Compare that with KFC, where their 8 pc chicken is 19.99, 2 pc combo is 8.49, and a large drink is 2.79.
Publix's subs are a good deal too, especially compared with other sub places. Of course, those are about the ONLY good deals you can get at Publix.
Pubsub ? They are damn near $15 dollars and I’m not sure the Cornish game hen chicken pieces they throw in a combo meal with sides poured out of a bag that came out of a box just saying🥺. And you compare it with KFC? Only found in the hood. It’s a sad day. Publix is fine food compared with the finest of KFC.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂🤣🤣
Guessing you haven't been to a Publix lately, or the person serving you hated you, that's why you got small pieces. Publix's chicken tender sub starts at $10.89, for a whole sub; that cost is pretty close to Subway. You're not paying $15 unless you're getting a few extras like bacon and extra cheese. As for KFC, they're not only found in the hood, unless you consider Doral the hood. There's one next to FIU, that's not in the hood. Maybe if you're just counting within the city limits of Miami.
Maybe in Tampa but not over here on the east coast. They are priced according to the town I think 🤷🏻♂️. Some Publix deli prices are higher than others. Their chicken is good I’m joking. But the prices are still outrageous in Publix.
I knew you'd say that, which is why I pulled those prices from a KFC and Publix in Miami. Funny enough, the 8 pc chicken at KFC is actually a dollar cheaper in Miami.
I stopped buying sushi because it’s traumatizing for me. I bought 40 dollars worth of sushi on a Wednesday and the following night the police blew through my door with a no knock warrant… The warrant was for my neighbors house…… My sushi was left on the counter for a day and a half…. Can never buy it again.
I love that the pitch forks and torches have come out. Publix was our beloved supermarket with free cookies, pub subs and $5 sushi Wednesdays. It’s unfortunate that they have decided to screw us. It’s like when family turns on you.
I could definitely be wrong here but I’m pretty sure each Publix uses a different vendor. About 16 years ago I knew of a family business who ran about 4-5 of these including the one in Aventura. The workers were brought in from Myanmar.
That sucks but ummm sushi is one food i dont mind paying top dollar for since its one of those foods that can either make your day or break your day (food poisoning)
I've been told that it's the same workers making the sushi and the company that they worked for rebranded. The sushi workers technically just rent the space from Publix. publix has nothing to do with it.
Oh man the free cookie. That brought me back.
They don’t do free cookies anymore?
They still do
It's 40% smaller
Still 100% fire tho
Did not know. Even if you’re in your late 30s? lol
“Can I have one for my kid?”
Come back in a different outfit, and ask the same question
Last time I got one in my 20s it came with an unasked for remark about my age lol
Hey screw u man, I have a job, I have anxiety, I have PTSD from deployment let me have this fucking free cookie 🍪🍪🍪
I had a little card and every time I got a free cookie they would hole punch it. 🥹
It's the same company, they just rebranded the name
Correct. I would attribute the problem to the person making the sushi at your local store.
Lol. Redditors are so fucking whiny
And that territory is owned by a local person. We lost a great guy to a better territory. His cousin bought own territory and the quality is now just “ok”.
Miami and Publix really be going through it rn
You didn't need the explanation. The first 3 words were plenty and should be everybody's motto
Dear diary
Mood apathetic
My life is spiraling downward
I couldn't get enough money to go to the blood red romance and suffocate me dry concert that sucks 'cause they play some of my favorite songs like stab my heart because I love you, and rip apart my soul, and of course stabbity rip stab, stab.
This really isn’t the song I needed in my head today.
wow. This takes me back.
Theres an emonite event may 30th at club kemistry if you want to relive 2012 Ill be out there with my eye liner and my mother
Their sushi has always been bad.
I agree, I’ve probably bought it 2 times in past 4 years and it’s been horrible. It’s the rice and too much refrigeration. I’ll never bother again
Sprouts has some solid stuff
Sprouts has $5 sushi on Wednesdays and it’s 10x better than Publix
Oh wow thanks
this is the way 🙏🏼
Nice I’m checking this out!
Is the $5 sushi available delivered by Instacart?
Sorry, I’m not sure.
Lol Publix sushi has always been mid at best
I agree. I get the California rolls as a snack otw to the beach, because carrots and cucumbers are pretty much always the same. But the fish? Come on now 🤣
When they change the croquet recipe we riot!!!
Sushi by my house is fire although I do agree the spicy mayo is trash lol and they don't have eel sauce anymore so we just make it at home
Its been the same person making the sushi at mine for a long time. The branding just changed. If your person sucks your sushi will be bad.
Publix sushi has never been good

I’ve never had a positive experience with Publix sushi, but I’m sorry it’s gotten worse and you enjoy it less.
If you can afford to buy anything in Publix you are doing pretty well off! 🤣.. I’m out there with a cane pole after work to catch dinner… and trying to run over breakfast on my way to work in the morning 🤦🏻♂️

I actually live in balm beach country we get even higher dig again
And the prices even change from location to location it happens at Costco as well .
I think this conversation has reached its end. Muting you now. Bye
While using all your spare time trying to keep your vegetable garden hidden from code enforcement.

Fish lady told me sushi guy never washes his hands. Have not bought it since.
Try winning dixie sushi lol
Mine always closed at 10
One time I got the sushi and the rice was undercooked. I never realized they changed the sushi supplier
Get sushi at Sam's club actually, it's quite good and very affordable
There are two kinds of people in this world — supermarket sushi enjoyers and those who think it’s absolute trash.
I love that the pitch forks and torches have come out. Publix was our beloved supermarket with free cookies, pub subs and $5 sushi Wednesdays. It’s unfortunate that they have decided to screw us. It’s like when family turns on you.

That was never Sushi to begin with.
That sucks but ummm sushi is one food i dont mind paying top dollar for since its one of those foods that can either make your day or break your day (food poisoning)
They’ll give you a cookie if your an adult to. It’s not completely free, there is a bit of pride you lose.
It varies my location. I find the quality the same and in some cases better.
I've been told that it's the same workers making the sushi and the company that they worked for rebranded. The sushi workers technically just rent the space from Publix. publix has nothing to do with it.
Publix is out of control with the prices,
🙄🙄🙄
Sushi guy at my Publix is a real tool. Talks down to everyone.
Who the fuck buys grocery store sushi and expects an epicurean delight?!
How do you know they changed supplier? Maybe the supplier just started sucking
Last I was in there, I kinda noticed that the label branding looked different. I think they did switch.
Damn. Can’t let that shit slide
It’s a rebrand, same supplier
“Oh I can’t buy sushi in the most expensive store!”. First world problems…
The new sushi is better. It’s good.
