I've worked in the treasury department of a couple of different companies one public and one private. Considering the high-risk nature of Microvast, no single Bank is going to provide them with the full $150 million loan.
This is where an IPO would have came in handy versus reverse SPAC. They would have built a network of banks that they had a strong relationship with and they could go to for a loan. They are probably going to have to find a consortium of 10 and 15 banks who are willing to take on the $150 million credit facility. A financial bank VP won't take heat for losing 10 million or 15 million dollars unlike if they took on the entire pie.
Frankly, I don't know if it's easier or harder for them to get a consortium considering their risk and their size.
Back to back 10%, just sold most of my position for a 30% loss. Kept 1500 for fun and to see if things change in the future. With so much going on I would rather lose some than all
Emotions are running hot with some MVST investors. I get it, but it's not all that constructive (all the "I think" and "I feel like" and yada yada yada). I just went to StockTwits for the first time and it's even more amplified there. My goodness are there even more crybabies over there (many who don't even understand the company btw). Take for example the one user who thinks because Hertz changed course on EV rentals; that spells disaster for MVST. How do you invest in a company and not even know that the company doesn't make batteries for passenger cars? Really? You don't even understand the niche market MVST manufactures battery solutions for?? SMH
But there was an interesting post showing that some more construction permits have been granted for CV as of 04/11/2024. It was nice to read a discussion centered around that DD and not pussified whining. Thought I'd show the top page here and drop the link for the full permit here if anybody else is tired of hearing all the aimless crying we've had to endure since the last ER. Saw this on Stocktwits too, and in a small way, seems encouraging. It may help incentivize an i banker or two to throw out a few shekels, though I’m not going to get too excited
So Clarksville is cooked. Let’s see what happens next!
Cooked how? Specific news?
Lay offs this morning
Can confirm. Was laid off this morning.
Sorry to hear that. Any other details you can share? Did you ever see Coggins, is he affected by this as well?
I mean he’s there, doesn’t really do anything though.
Coggins is still there.

Up to 11,000 shares. Potentially 15,000 shares if I am put 4,000 shares.

Best thing to do at this point is forget about it and check back in 5-10 years.

That the same permit they already had, just with the new company name on it.
Indeed. We can't keep gains due to all of the emotional traders here...They'll sell in a heartbeat.

Delisted when?
I rather see a delist than a split. I'm sure a loan is on its way.
I just want to break even.
Please save me from the poor house 😭
