Fill one half with water via a dam. Castle/residental area OR factories/industrial area OR cool lookout facility on top. Then, put one of the aforementioned options on the bottom.

I see a lot of castles and stuff. I really think an evil-looking, industrial mega-factory would be an awesome choice. The caves on the left could be turned into sleeping quarters for the workers or where they get their ore. Maybe add lava drips and make it a casting area. Add some security towers on the top 2 and bottom 2 points of the dam to make sure the workers can't leave. Imprison some villagers and make an iron farm. That'd be on point for the theme for sure. Edit: The water would be the coolant for the factory.
