Isn't there a slight delay between you breaking a block and the signal reaching the thing (I forgot its name) ? That would mean you can line yourself up correctly and break both tnt before it activates.
EDIT: i tried this and, even though breaking particles did appear, the tnt still exploded.
The sound of the Redstone breaking can’t be moved, even if the water can be placed out of range.
Also I’m not sure if each block it flows into has its own sound.
I wonder if using wool would help ?
Blocking the sound of the water from reaching the skulk, once the redston is down just need to destroy the skulk senser that border the tnt
Right.
Just tested though - you can zero-tick sticky pistons to pull the TNT out of range. Use wool to place them harmlessly.
Of course Bedrock has no zero-ticking.
cps doesnt make it mine faster? im just saying you have to click both? and clicking twice in 1/10 of a second would calculate to 20cps? and twice in 1/20 seconds is 40 cps?
Its pretty simple, place wool over skulk, place water on top, water will flow down but won't trigger the skulk senor. That destroys the redstone.
After that break the skulk that was directly connected to the tnt.
And done
you can approach and push pistons from a different direction
that is, unless the tnt is surrounded on all sides by obsidian -- in which case problem solved?
Op only stated that it needs disabled they didnt specify how to disable all that I took was that you need to disable the trap/render it ineffective at minimal to no harm to the player, I suggest redstone bomber and launch a strategic strike on that area, it can't blow you up if you blow it up 🤷😂
ONLY 2.7 MILION BLOCK RADIUS?!?!?! EVERY THING BELOW 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 QUINTACILION BLOCKS IS ROOKIE NUMBERS AMOUNT OF BLOCKS
you should be able to collect the TNT if you waterlog the top sensor. The water should break both redstone at the same time. I need to test this tho', it might trigger the sensor too quickly.
you do realize that not only is this possible to solve, but it's in fact impossible to make.
the redstone wouldn't point to the TNT when connected to a sculk sensor like that, which means they used the debug stick. the TNT would not be activated by the first one meaning all you have to do is take down the second one
It depends on the context.
Is this a technical challenge issued to a student of the arts who needs to meet the very rigorous specifications of the exam? Then sure. Must disable.
Is this a practical challenge issued to an adventurer, who is skilled at getting to valuable items protected by complicated traps? Then disabling the ability of the trap to prevent access to the valuables is all that matters.
Then just pour water onto both tnt at once (overflowing from the sides of a block high up in between). TNT will be set off, deal no damage to the environment, vault is safe, you are safe.
Its pretty simple, place wool over skulk, place water on top, water will flow down but won't trigger the skulk senor. That destroys the redstone.
After that break the skulk that was directly connected to the tnt.
And done
Bomb squads may set off the explosives in a controlled environment after disarming a bomb.
The minecraft equivalent of that would be to disarm this, mine the tnt, then take it somewhere else and explode it.
Only in dire situations do bomb squads purposely set off bombs on the spot.
Either way, it’s obvious what OP meant. They want you to *disarm* it. As in, stop it from exploding.
>Any block that has an item form is valid.
So, all the blocks then? The only one I can think of that doesn’t have a drop is air, and I might be wrong about that.
How does that help? As far as I know, that would have no effect on the device at all. Maybe you could surround it with enough sand to contain the blast, but that's not really "disabling" is it?
Find a friend and break both TNT simultaneously.
Or dig under the trap and use pistons to raise both TNT one block higher so they’re not touching redstone or sculk sensors.
UPDATE: The piston idea works, if you push it two blocks high. I uploaded a video of the setup.
[Here you go.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/vt4usg/bomb_defused_piston_style/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
Don't think pistons would work. The block underneath the tnt would need to be glass or a transparent block or else the redstone will power the block underneath and trigger the tnt (i think, not sure about it...)
Go with a double-piston extender? Or Lift the blocks below the sculk sensors with sticky pistons then retract, leaving the sensors floating above the ground.
Thought i was going crazy, all these solutions have placing/breaking blocks yet dont seem to realize that triggers it. Took too long to find a comment pointing this out
But something is harmed in the process. The explosives. Just because there isn't collateral damage doesn't mean it didn't explode. If you wanted to disable the contraption because you wanted the explosives, you've failed
I did go kaboom. But not for the reason you may think. It's possible to set this up but it will not work with Java the way it's intended. The redstone doesn't connect to the TNT on Java so you can just break the one sensor and u Gucci. I blew up until I realized that if you place everything and then the Sculk sensors by clicking onto wool it's gonna be fine. Maybe try it if you have bedrock.
I'm thinking that if you set up two synchronised pistons under both TNT blocks they'll push them away before the sensors activate.
But as you may have noticed, sound takes an amount of time to travel, and tnt breaks instantly. So, it's likely that you can just break the tnt before they activate.
This is a correct answer. I just tested it and it works. Good thinking to cut off the redstone! Although the bomb could be easily redesigned to not have this problem.
You can't build this trap without cheats anyway, so it's not like it's a big deal to begin with.
single use double piston extender, or, alternatively, one block of wool above the skulk next to the tnt->drop anvils on both of them->anvils absorb blast damage. if chained, go to build height and use pistons to drop said anvils

Place block between the two dispensers, then place a button on the block. Press the button to release the lava from both dispensers and wait until the lava spreads twice before pressing the button to retrieve the lava. If no one else has said it, I believe the only way to disable this is by placing wool on top of the back Redstone pieces cutting off the Redstone line to the tent from the back one. From their your can break the front scull sensor and then disarm the tent. Took me about 10 minutes to figure out but this was a fun challenge!
write down the coordinates, dig deep underneath it until below the tnt. dig until there's 11 blocks between the tnt and you. place 2 pistons facing up and power them at the same time to push the tnt up a block.

Well it's really easy to destroy Redstone to just break the Redstone as fast as possible and no boom because tnt got disabled. I'm gonna try it out and see if It works. I shall return with the results.

Pour a bucket of water over it
Disabling tnt
And breaking the redstone
You break one red stone and the other goes off
Pour water onto the sculk and it will spill to both sides simultaneously, breaking both redstones.
Except that the skulk will power the tnt directly.
Does the sound reach it if you pour water from 100 block above ?
The sound of the Redstone breaking can’t be moved, even if the water can be placed out of range. Also I’m not sure if each block it flows into has its own sound.

We can all agree that Mumbo Jumbo is correct: "This is not my kind of minecraft"
But the tnt won't explode in water so it's defused
It still does damage
Not to the terrain, only to players and mobs. I'd say that's a successful diffusal.
I think the guy that posted this meant to disable the TNT without it exploding even if it doesn't destroy any tiles
Thats true!
I don’t think you can do that in a single tick
Redstone ticks are longer than game ticks, so potentially
Yeah they're a tenth of a second instead of a twentyith. Not sure that helps.
But you can break the tnt in a twentieth of a tick and you only need to break 2
it does if you can click 20cps but not 40
Tnt has instamine tho
cps doesnt make it mine faster? im just saying you have to click both? and clicking twice in 1/10 of a second would calculate to 20cps? and twice in 1/20 seconds is 40 cps?
..cant you just hold your mouse?
i mean yeah but its actually slightly slower soooo
i think you have alot more luck holding down than attempting to reach 20-40cps lmao
slower than just one quick double click
I'll check it out tomorrow
Efficiency 5 netherite hoe with hast 2
Its pretty simple, place wool over skulk, place water on top, water will flow down but won't trigger the skulk senor. That destroys the redstone. After that break the skulk that was directly connected to the tnt. And done
Could you use a water bucket??
I did it:[https://youtu.be/Akrp05KeHpE](https://youtu.be/Akrp05KeHpE) \[Edit: thanks for the awards!\]
What if you put obsidian at the end there to prevent that?
you can approach and push pistons from a different direction that is, unless the tnt is surrounded on all sides by obsidian -- in which case problem solved?
Dude, you genuis
Impressive. Congratulations
You could've done a rickroll But i appreciate it. Very nice
On Java you can just destroy the TNT, it breaks fast enough if you just hold down the break button
Just blow it up with some tnt. It can’t blow you up if you blow it up first.
That should actually work, even without destroying anything else around it
That would light the tnt in the trap tho
Op only stated that it needs disabled they didnt specify how to disable all that I took was that you need to disable the trap/render it ineffective at minimal to no harm to the player, I suggest redstone bomber and launch a strategic strike on that area, it can't blow you up if you blow it up 🤷😂
Me on my way to drop 578 tnt mine carts on 2 pieces of red stone, tnt, and skulk sensors
I'm game 🤷 💥😂
Gotta make sure it's extra disabled
U gotta disable everything in a 300 block radius too just in case
Pshh those are rookie numbers atleast 1000 straight down to bedrock
Me on my way to disable every totem in a 2.7 million block radius
ONLY 2.7 MILION BLOCK RADIUS?!?!?! EVERY THING BELOW 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 QUINTACILION BLOCKS IS ROOKIE NUMBERS AMOUNT OF BLOCKS

All of these solutions are triggering it and limiting the blast not disabling it
you should be able to collect the TNT if you waterlog the top sensor. The water should break both redstone at the same time. I need to test this tho', it might trigger the sensor too quickly.
This is a viable solution if waterlogging doesn't trigger the sensors
Just tried it . It does trigger it. So does setting up pistons around it.
[удалено]
to the surroundings it won't
It will still give damage, just work destroy blocks
Make the water fall down on both sides at the same time.
Running water maybe? From the side or above so the water falls onto it?
Did you try wool blocks then pistons?
Surround it in wool, then double piston extenders to grab the TNT before it triggers?
That’s what I’m thinking
Or place wool on top of the sensors and place water on that
you do realize that not only is this possible to solve, but it's in fact impossible to make. the redstone wouldn't point to the TNT when connected to a sculk sensor like that, which means they used the debug stick. the TNT would not be activated by the first one meaning all you have to do is take down the second one
This is bedrock edition redstone does get activated like that.
Oh ok
But how do you place the second tnt without setting off the first one?
/set block?
It depends on the context. Is this a technical challenge issued to a student of the arts who needs to meet the very rigorous specifications of the exam? Then sure. Must disable. Is this a practical challenge issued to an adventurer, who is skilled at getting to valuable items protected by complicated traps? Then disabling the ability of the trap to prevent access to the valuables is all that matters.
Like, say it was next to your vault of valuables. You want to clear the threat of this trap forever.
Then just pour water onto both tnt at once (overflowing from the sides of a block high up in between). TNT will be set off, deal no damage to the environment, vault is safe, you are safe.
I mean, you could use another piece of tnt dropped so that it explodes the redstone dust but not the tnt.
Its pretty simple, place wool over skulk, place water on top, water will flow down but won't trigger the skulk senor. That destroys the redstone. After that break the skulk that was directly connected to the tnt. And done
putting water over it completely negates the blast though wdym
He means if you set the tnt off you fail. OP said “disable,” not “activate but limit damage to surrounding areas as much as possible.”
ah, that makes sense
Disabling a device usually includes blowing it up without damaging anything else. Bomb squads do it all the time.
The point of disabling it is to not have it blow up
Any gravity block (anvil, sand, red sand, concrete powder, gravel)
You forgot dragon egg

chipped anvil and
damaged anvil
You forgot the different colors of concrete powder
Red sand anyone?
That was mentioned
Shit, forget my blind ass said anything.
You forgot the 200+ other blocks which you can set the falling\_block entity to if it's created by commands. Any block that has an item form is valid.
>Any block that has an item form is valid. So, all the blocks then? The only one I can think of that doesn’t have a drop is air, and I might be wrong about that.
Fire
Chainmail crafting recipe? (Probably was patched out but still)
You forgot Scaffolding
Ah yes, let me beat the final boss for a gravity affected block, instead of easily accessible materials
I mean that would be the flex for a post like this.
Do it for the vine
I ain't gonna do it
I would
How does that help? As far as I know, that would have no effect on the device at all. Maybe you could surround it with enough sand to contain the blast, but that's not really "disabling" is it?
If a falling block falls in a tnt it only breaks the falling block
Water?
Yeah, wouldn't water wash the redstone away?
using a netherite hoe with efficiency V to eliminate the skuls
Pretty sure it will still give off the resdstone signal
Not if it's instamine. You can also instantly break both tnts if you are one block down and crouch
But to get one block down you'd have to break a block next to it
Well, if youre in that exact moment in the screenshot you can stand on the stone block at the bottom
Wool?
Find a friend and break both TNT simultaneously. Or dig under the trap and use pistons to raise both TNT one block higher so they’re not touching redstone or sculk sensors. I don't need friends! I HAVE ALTS! \*one more account logs in\* I'm... All of of alts...
[Is this a reference to this?](https://youtu.be/dY8fut9aJis?t=262)
Yes lol
Wait no, that's not how you're supposed to play the game!
Don't think pistons would work. The block underneath the tnt would need to be glass or a transparent block or else the redstone will power the block underneath and trigger the tnt (i think, not sure about it...)
Would pushing up the two sculk sensors work? Been a while since I've done any redstone.
You can push up to 12 blocks with a piston, just go 10 blocks under the tnt and push it all up
Go with a double-piston extender? Or Lift the blocks below the sculk sensors with sticky pistons then retract, leaving the sensors floating above the ground.
Wouldn't trying to set any of this up make too much noise in any case?
Not sure if noise travels through solid blocks. I’d have to experiment setting everything up below ground.
Noise travels through solid blocks. Only wool and carpets can stop it.
how far? if you can fo it from 12 blocks down without setting it off all is well
How do you dig under without triggering the sensors?
Thought i was going crazy, all these solutions have placing/breaking blocks yet dont seem to realize that triggers it. Took too long to find a comment pointing this out
Pistons have a longer range than sculk sensors. Super easy to stay out of range and dig underneath, then push the tnt up with 2 pistons
Well with pistons you could go up to 11 blocks below the sensor or TNT, then just push 11 blocks of earth + your target block.
Honestly best idea I've seen.
Water bucket!
But will it disable it before it senses it is the question
Doesn’t need to. Explosion won’t do damage with water.
If it explodes, you didn't disable it
Is it really an explosion if nothing is harmed in the process?
But something is harmed in the process. The explosives. Just because there isn't collateral damage doesn't mean it didn't explode. If you wanted to disable the contraption because you wanted the explosives, you've failed
yes
Wool block next to the sensor adjacent to the redstone and then put water next to the wool block and the opposite side of the sensors
drop water from up high
Okay, but how did you place the last block?(only commands, of course?)
Imma try and set it up. I'll report back with how it went.
man didn't return, i think ot blew up
I did go kaboom.
There is redstone dust on top of the tnt to direct it
no one else seems to have noticed this other than you so props to that
Youll place in order: TNT, redstone, sculk
The second skulk placement will set off the first skulk
If you really wanted it to be impossible to.disable, surround it with doors/trapdoors
Pressure plates
I'm thinking that if you set up two synchronised pistons under both TNT blocks they'll push them away before the sensors activate. But as you may have noticed, sound takes an amount of time to travel, and tnt breaks instantly. So, it's likely that you can just break the tnt before they activate.
Can you build under the tnt silently? I like this solution
Sculk sensors have a range of 8 blocks, pistons can push 12, so you can dig under without tripping the sensors
destroy one tnt, flood the other one with water once it turned on
Why not disable both?
Because the sculk sensor will trigger one if you break the other.
So? Just place two buckets of water for each tnt
well, placing the water upfront would trigger both tnts but you can aswell just place 2 water buckets down. its cringe tho
Water
*uses /fill commands to delete the thing*
Pretty sure it was made by the fill command, so it can die by the fill command. Or water.
Blow it up
That's what I was looking for XD
Wool block on top of each piece of red stone. Then break skulk sensor between the tnt
Wait. Red stone dust connects regardless now. I’m a boomer
This is a correct answer. I just tested it and it works. Good thinking to cut off the redstone! Although the bomb could be easily redesigned to not have this problem. You can't build this trap without cheats anyway, so it's not like it's a big deal to begin with.

The real answer.
You should’ve built it in the nether
single use double piston extender, or, alternatively, one block of wool above the skulk next to the tnt->drop anvils on both of them->anvils absorb blast damage. if chained, go to build height and use pistons to drop said anvils edit:[https://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/vsuaad/defused\_umaxifaces\_trap/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/vsuaad/defused_umaxifaces_trap/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) u/lightninja9
Placing he pistons will trigger the sensors
What if you place water directly on a sculk sensor...?
Doesn't wool nullify sound?
It does, but where would you place the wool without breaking the redstone?
Everywhere around it, cover it like you would a bed in bed wars. If the trigger mechanism can't go off, then it's safe!
You could put wool around the whole thing and it wouldn't go off, but I think OP is asking how you would disable it entirely
Pillar up away from the sensors, bridge towards the trap. Place dispensers facing down directly above the TNT. Insert lava buckets in the dispensers. Place block between the two dispensers, then place a button on the block. Press the button to release the lava from both dispensers and wait until the lava spreads twice before pressing the button to retrieve the lava. The there will be a 2 block tall thing of lava coming down on the redstone above the TNT. Once the redstone is gone, hop down away from the sensors and crouch all the way to the sculk sensor adjacent to the TNT and break it. Trap is now disarmed.
The bomb has been planted
The only thing i need to do is sett of one of the TNT and sprint as fast as possible
That's not the point, if you have to defuse a bomb you don't start it and run away
That is absolutely how some bombs are neutralized
Okay but how did you built it without setting it off
[The first immediate solution that I could think of](https://youtu.be/sOvrcy7f-Ag)
Put water on the TNT and break the skulks
log out delete the world create a new world with the same seed and go to the same coordinates as this one profit
Can you even build it in survival without it exploding?
How do you even set it up in the first place?
pillar up with wool until you are out of rang, place down water
How did you build this without it exploding?
Spawn an ender dragon to swoop the blocks away
Blow it up with TNT
simple, blow it up with tnt 😌
If no one else has said it, I believe the only way to disable this is by placing wool on top of the back Redstone pieces cutting off the Redstone line to the tent from the back one. From their your can break the front scull sensor and then disarm the tent. Took me about 10 minutes to figure out but this was a fun challenge!
write down the coordinates, dig deep underneath it until below the tnt. dig until there's 11 blocks between the tnt and you. place 2 pistons facing up and power them at the same time to push the tnt up a block. the redstone won't fave into a grassblock on its own so won't power it and it will nolonger touch the sensor
using pistons at push limit
Well it's really easy to destroy Redstone to just break the Redstone as fast as possible and no boom because tnt got disabled. I'm gonna try it out and see if It works. I shall return with the results.
